This is NOT your typical Hamptons newbie, this place is run by experienced professionals who have poured their love for food into dish after dish of eloquent combinations that are as beautiful to look at they are to savor, bite after bite. The careful selection of local ingredients ( scallops, fluke, beef, chicken and many, many vegetables) reminds you of why the east end means so much to us all. The chef has found ways to turn simple, everyday items into extraordinary dishes that honor local suppliers. The poached pear in North Fork wine was the perfect finale. We were seated for 45 minutes before we were even noticed. Tables that sat after us were taken care of and we were left alone. Once we were able to speak to the manager the experience got much better. The Lobster Spring Rolls were very good 5/5 for spring rolls. The Ribeye came out undercooked but was promptly fixed and came out properly cooked (which is a feat in itself of itself) - props to the kitchen on this fix. The steak was fatty, even for a Ribeye. I was still hungry afterwards. Ribeye 4/5 The drinks are pricy but WORTH IT!!! The Garden Reverie and Summer Terrace were very good. The Summer Terrace was something special. You have to sip it, then take a bite of watermelon, and then sip again. 10/10 I hope they figure things out because the food is pretty good. This place could be a solid 4/5

The calamari was very good but the coating was not overly adherent. The dipping sauces were to die for...delicious. One was marinara and the other was a chipotle style. The chicken dish was cooked very nicely--it was moist and flavorful. The skin was deliciously seasoned and crisped. The risotto was cooked perfectly too and the flavor was stupendous. The shrimp and scallop dish was good. The scallops were rather small and not that many but very delicious! The bean broth was soooo good. I also tried the bolognese and the portion was super generous, the sauce quite tasty and the pasta cooked just right. Next time I come, this is the dish I will get! I highly recommend coming here. It was a rainy evening and the restaurant was understandably overwhelmed after having to move outdoor diners inside. I was happy to wait for my reservation and understood that the staff was dealing with circumstances beyond their control. Some of what followed, however, was harder to excuse. At the bar, service was abrupt, and while preparing my non-alcoholic drink I watched the bartender pour an ingredient in a way that caused the liquid to run across his finger and into my glass. Once seated, my server repeatedly approached the table carrying dirty dishes--including when initially taking our order--which felt particularly out of place at a restaurant of this caliber. The most uncomfortable part came at dessert. I mistakenly ordered the wrong dessert and immediately acknowledged that the mistake was mine. When it arrived, I apologized and asked if I could instead have the sticky toffee pudding I'd enjoyed on my previous visit. My server offered to wrap the first dessert, and when I declined, she pointed out that it would otherwise go to waste. At no point did she tell me that I would still be charged for both desserts. Had she done so, I simply would have kept the original dessert and made the best of my mistake. When the check arrived, both desserts were charged. I politely asked about removing the dessert I had sent back. What followed was surprisingly confrontational. My server told me that someone had to pay for it, repeatedly emphasized that she was going to comp it despite disagreeing with my expectation, and ultimately told me that removing the dessert would come out of her paycheck. Whatever the restaurant's policy may be, putting a guest in the position of feeling personally responsible for a server's paycheck over a dessert was extraordinarily uncomfortable and unlike anything I've experienced at a restaurant at this level. I had genuinely enjoyed this restaurant before and returned because of that first experience. I can overlook a hectic night caused by unexpected rain. What is much harder to overlook is poor sanitation and making a returning guest feel guilty and embarrassed over a simple dessert misunderstanding that could have been resolved with one sentence before the first dessert was removed. Unfortunately, what had been a restaurant I was excited to revisit is now one I'm unlikely to return to.

Our waitress told us " the restaurant pays a fortune for bread and had to pass this onto us". Again, never ever had we been charged for some additional bread!!!
