Ambiance was wonderful, menu was amazing, service was amazing BUT the osso bucco was the wrong cut and had only about two bites of meat. Then after a salad, an appetizer, four glasses of wine, they wouldn't make good on it because we ate more than 50% of the risotto. It was insulting, frankly. read more

Our Christmas dinner went so well with this place! It's so affordable for the freshness that we ate! We were very pleased with every dish that we ordered. It was very busy given that it was Christmas night so the servers were working extra hard but they were so nice. It was the perfect night overlooking the yacht's parked on the pier. I went to this restaurant on Friday. Ambiance inside was nice (kitchen was located outside.) A guitarist added to the charm. My wife enjoyed her meal which was shrimp over potatoes with large spears of asparagus (which she was surprised were quite tender) I had Blackened Sea Bass over a lemon risotto. The risotto seemed a bit undercooked but was very tasty. The sea bass was dry and overcooked...which definitely was disappointing. Additionally when the waiter asked how it was he didn't seem interested in my comments . Due to the star special dish, I wouldn't recommend going there. read more

The quality of the ingredients and cook of the italian food is excellent! The minestrone soup is a must. The seafood risotto was fresh and well cooked, not overdone. My son loved the shrimp fettuccine alfredo. The tiramisu is a must....actual soaked ladyfingers layered with crème! The service is above and beyond with Emmanuel and Octavio. The service was lovely, very attentive without hovering. The ambiance was charming with a great view over the marina. Sadly the cocktails (a mojito and a Cadillac margarita) were very watery and the margarita had a vague flavor of men's cologne. The calamari appetizer was nicely breaded and crisp but cooked to the texture of a pencil eraser with no flavor whatsoever, and the tomatoes in the caprisi salad were also flavorless. Main courses were fine, seafood risotto for one and a grilled mahi mahi with polenta for the other. Both starches were well seasoned and the seafood in both was inoffensive. Although the staff was great, not a place that we are inclined to go back to with so many other seafood choices available in the area. read more

We've eaten here twice while docked at Paradise Village Marina. Their outdoor seating area is located along the marina, so it's a very nice view. Both times the food was very good, with a nice selection of pasta dishes as well as meat and seafood dishes. It's located in a resort area, so the prices are higher than if you went outside the area, but overall, the prices were fair for the quality of food and service. We'll be back. read more

Offered us traditional but failed to mention it was 3 times price of regular and honestly not that special. Dining partners fish had a huge muscle in center that couldn't be cut. Had a very romantic dinner on a starlit night! Javier, our waiter, was pleasant and attentive. Our dinner was on point. My osso bucco was tender, falling off the bone. My husband enjoyed his grilled tuna with portabello mushrooms. He ordered it rare and they got it right. The portions are also generous. For appetizer, the beef carpaccio was divine and I thoroughly enjoyed the salad, made of arugula, spinach, cranberries, goat cheese, candied walnuts and cherry tomatoes! Fantastic jewel! My husband and I went there last night for dinner we split the shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo plenty for both of us and the and phenomenal Alfredo sauce. The shrimp were absolute perfection and and not pronsized but the perfect size for 3 bites eachTo blend in with the pasta. Plenty of shrimp for us to share the order. The Caesar salad was also completely on point. I had an espresso after dinner which was divine the husband had an Americano coffee also phenomenal. Drinks are perfect and the ambient sitting outside looking at the Mega yachts wishing we were in one was super awesome. This was a lovely dinner we had in Mexico. We really enjoyed the food and the ambience. My boyfriend and I loved our waiter who made sure we got whatever we wanted. I made up my own dish (which the waiter was more then happy to do) and my boyfriend got the salmon gnocchi. My boyfriends dish was incredible, I kept sneaking bites. My dish of seafood pasta was good, but I wish it had a bit more flavor. We also loved the gelato at the end of the meal. I highly suggest the coconut gelato! So delicious. We just had our first experience at Il Pescatore. David was our server and he was VERY attentive. Great server. Pro tip, it's Mexican custom for them NOT to bring your bill until you request it. Knowing this may save you some aggravation as you dine in Puerto Vallarta. The food here is Seattle/Portland level Italian restaurant quality. My wife and I were both very impressed. David suggested a Mexican Merlot wine that was very affordable and very smooth. I struggle with acidic wines and David suggested this bottle and he was SPOT ON! We loved our experience here, there is a classical guitarist that plays Wed - Sat and he is very very good. Light instrumentals, some Spanish songs, some American, but all very soothing and enjoyable. read more

If you want Italian food on the Nuevo Vallarta area, Il Pescatore is one of the best options. The food and beverages where delicious. They have succeeded on maintaining the same quality and experience over all this years, something I do not appreciate. As being part of the popular restaurants for fine cuisine in Bahia de Banderas it is really a shame that in all this years they have not invested on their infrastructure. It might sound bizarre, but at least please place a banner that says "Here is Il Pescatore and here is the entrance". As a customer that is not hosted on the hotel that resides next door, it is very shameful to have to pass thought the back parking lot in order to access the restaurant. Overall, the service and the food where excellent and the view to the canal enjoyable. read more

This has been my favorite place so far while visiting Paradise Village. We arrived 1 hour early to enjoy a drink before dinner. Staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. They let us chose where we wanted to sit from the tables available. Immediately our drink orders we taken and swiftly arrived. The waiters Norberto and Carlos went above and beyond to make our dinning experience one to remember. We started with a salad and seafood soup. My soup was savory and the serving was more than enough. My hubby's salad was refreshing. I ordered the Sea Bass and my hubby the Salmon. Both were amazing but the salmon took the prize! I hope we get a chance to dine here one more time before our departure. read more

We went there for Valentines dinner. Very disappointed but mostly in the service. We have been coming here for twenty years and try this restaurant most years but I always come away feeling angry because they never seem to have enough staff and we always feel the same way. The food is good but I am not returning when you can't have service that remembers why you are there. They want a good tip though. read more
