We really wanted to visit this place that opened recently in South Park, because we thought it looked like a very inviting from the outside. It did not disappoint! It was exactly what we were expecting and more . Service was excellent and very cordial. The appetizers that we ordered for the table were very tasty, artichokes were delicious. We ordered a couple pizzas from the oven which were very yummy, the dough is excellent. Wine selection is great for a nice Italian place. Will definitely visit again. read more

We live in South Park, so I love it when a new restaurant opens. This place was amazing! We went about a month after they opened. Actually we have been back twice because the food and service was so great. This is amazing authentic Italian. We love the wedge salad, as well as the arugula and Caesar. The first time I went, I had the spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce. I truly don't think I've ever had a better bolognese . The second time I went I had the same thing and added a meatball. The meatball was fine, but unnecessary with the meat sauce. My wife also had spaghetti the first time and the short rib over risotto (a special) the second. She loved both. So far both wines we've had have just been OK. The first time we had an Italian wine the second time a Cabernet from Paso Robles. We are going again this evening with friends who've never been. Maybe the third time is the charm for finding that wine! This place is really a great addition to the neighborhood! read more

I ordered a pizza. The crust was a light as a cloud. Very tasty! My sister and friend ordered a lobster ravioli dish that was also delicious. It looked small at first but they both agreed it was very filling. We all shared a small dinner salad just so that it would round out the meal (shouldn't every meal have at least a garnish of green to satisfy the balanced meal we've all been taught to eat?) Because it was a special get together, we also shared a bottle of Chardonnay. I can't remember the name but I do remember the taste. Very nice. We decided that we all like to visit again one day in the future. read more

We love IL Posto and have been there a number of times, twice in a week at one point. The food is authentic and really good, I have been working my way through the menus and have yet to find something I didn't enjoy, the risotto is my favorite... The staff is amazing and attentive. The space is simple and well thought out; and there is a small patio if you want to sit outside. A true gem in South Park we will continue to support. read more

Honestly, I was a little disappointed when I heard an Italian place was going into the Eclipse space since we already have 3 others within a few blocks. However, I feel the Il Posto is now the best Italian in South Park. Delicious and flavorful pastas and the wood fired pizzas are on point! The staff was friendly and informative and there is a back room to catch overflow of customers. It will for sure be my only local go-to for Italian now. They just opened but I anticipate them getting very popular. Highly recommend! read more

5/3/24 around 12pm-1pm The worst service I've ever experienced :(( I went there excited when I saw an Instagram ad. We ordered Calamari, Margherita, Carbonara. Calamari came first and then we got the Margherita. Carbonara didn't come out in 20 minutes so we checked order with the server. While wait our dishes, my friend found a bug in calamari. It was a little green bug, and it must have come from the salad underneath the calamari. We checked with the staff and he went into the kitchen with a plate. A few minutes later, another server gave us a new calamari and told us "IT WASN'T A BUG, IT WAS A PEPPERMINT" Are you kidding me? Peppermint has legs and moves on food? If it was peppermint, not a bug, why did he bring back new calamari? we said the bug was alive and moving, then server just said "okay" and left. We didn't want a refund or new food, but they didn't say sorry, even though they checked, they said no it wasn't a bug. After that, we didn't receive the carbonara and asked for it to be canceled after half an hour because we finished our food. We asked the server(same guy) to cancel it But he cut me off and saying it's coming it's coming and went into the kitchen and brought it right away. He already knew the food was out. The Carbonara noodles that took more than 30 minutes were uncooked. This restaurant, no, the staff's service is the worst experience, and I'm not going there again. Never ever read more

The place looks amazing. I made my own pasta when I went and it was just delicious. But when I was leaving I saw a person get a dessert that I will definitely have to get the next time I'm there. Feels like south park is becoming the new little Italy with all the great Italian restaurants. read more

I want to be clear. this restaurant is right around the corner from my house . I like this new restaurant. great wood fired pizza and delicious pasta. the amb Ian r is great and the servers are friendly. However...the last time I had dinner with my family we witnessed the tall skinny bartender with a bald head outside the restaurant handing off a to go order to a customer and then intentionally throw a hand full of trash on the sidewalk right in front of the restaurant. This is my neighborhood and I won't give my business to any establishment that doesn't respect it. no matter how good their Rustica pizza is. Very disappointed! read more

This review only addresses the transaction part of my visit . Purchased a pepperoni pizza at lunch time March 9th after getting home and reviewing the menu it seemed like I was charged a dinner menu price not the lunch menu price . Went back March 10th to rectify the transaction, was told to come back March12th around 4pm to speak to the manager. Returned March 4th around 4:30 Pm no manager. Was told to come back in an hour. Returned around 5:30 pm no manager. I explained this is my third time visiting the business to try and resolve the issue, When Vincenzo asked for receipt. I gave Vincenzo receipt he returned with receipt and the 6 Dollar difference. While this resolved the difference in price I paid , it was far from being appropriate from my point of view of making things right as stated by employee. read more

I'm going to give it a 4 star as my two friends really liked their dishes. I thought the spaghetti Carbonaro was a 3 star as they claimed it would be creamy without cream. Mine was not creamy but on the dry side. The main reason for not a 5 star is our waiter was totally grumpy to our table. If your having a bad day, don't take it out on your customers Matteo. Located right in the heart of South Park makes this find really fun and unique. Interior was beautiful + aesthetically pleasing. Service was incredible. Quick to refill drinks, bring things you asked for, etc. hostess was kind and endearing. But to be totally honest, I was disappointed in the food. I got the chicken parmesean - chicken was great, but I was not a fan of the noodles, had a weird after taste. We also got the bruschetta as an app and it just didn't "hit" , I don't prefer the cheese they used and felt the prosciutto on it distracted from the ripe, juicy tomatoes that I wanted to enjoy- but taste is unique to everyone. My husband enjoyed it. He got a pizza that the server recommended (with mushrooms) and he loved it. read more

Attended the soft opening a couple of nights ago and I had a great time. The pizza was authentic Italian style pizza from Naples. Just incredible. They had a nice selection of wine and the dessert and salad I had were lovely. The service was incredible. The place is newly renovated and beautiful. The atmosphere was lively and gave off good vibes. We sat in the back underneath these beautiful star shaped lamps at a long table. Great spot to accommodate a birthday. Great location in South Park. Walkable to many cute shops, dessert spots, coffee shops. Definitely recommend! read more

Maybe being a new restaurant, they need to work the kinks out. Some of the dishes were good (clams were cooked perfectly, tender and not chewy), others like the focaccia wasn't so great (just burnt pizza dough). Nice space, busy, good location.
