Well, we did it again. My 97 year old aunt wanted to go gambling. So off to Jake's 58 for a little fun then to II Trio for another great dinner! This time only seven not seventeen like last time. The never ending bread basket did me in again, I couldn't finish my Rustica. I tried hard but it wasn't going to happen, lunch for tomorrow! There were no complaints about the spaghetti squash, shrimp scampi or any of the other meals. So I was hungry, I was hangry at my husband. He brought me here. We were seated right away. Got some free bread! Haha probably not but bread was fresh. We ordered mozzarella sticks it came with some sauce which was really good. My husband got baked ziti with grilled chicken he says it's saucy in a good way. Loved Tates and hope to love this place once a few corrections made. For a 1st course I ordered their Vegetable soup. It was ok because it was a combo of every soup they serve. For a second course we ordered the Penne ala Vodka. The sauce was very bland for a Ala Vodka sauce. Both items need to be perfected. This place is a good Italian restaurant with friendly and efficient service. It could be a great neighborhood gem with a little perfecting/corrections to sauces and seasonings. read more

Found this place to be clean, friendly and a wonderfully diverse menu. Got chicken with Spaghetti Squash. I've Never seen this on a menu before and I don't know why. It was wonderful and a large portion. Shared it with my wife and we were both stuffed. My son and his wife had the eggplant tortellini. Again enough to split and they loved it. Date night with the Wifey. We started off at another local restaurant in Lakegrove Saturday night. Without a reservation the anticipated wait was over an hour. I had suggested we try another local restaurant Trio. After my wife checked reviews on Yelp we called to check the wait time. No Wait. Perfect. Hungry for some good food and drink we went to Trio. What a great decision. I love finding these little gems within the neighboring towns. My wife ordered the spaghetti squash special and I had the chicken cordon blue entree. It's not often you see spaghetti squash on the menu. We munched on the basket of bread to hold us over until the entrees came out. Both dishes came out super hot and were delicious. Serving size was large. My wife did not finish her meal. I on the other hand had no problem finishing every last bite. To end the meal we decided to have the tiramisu which was delicious and washed that down with some really good cappuccino. Our waitress was terrific. The meal really tasted like home cooking. I was hysterical crying on the couch due to going through a break up. They have the best chocolate lava cakes and although they did run out of lava cakes for delivery they did come through with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream for me. Not only did they find the solution for me to make me happy but Tatiana gave some good advice how to heal your heart. Went to this restaurant on recommendation from co-worker and reviews We were three couples who go out together regularly. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Besides the food being mediocre at best, I had chicken piccata one of my favorite dishes, but it was bland, in a gelatinous sauce which had no white wine no artichokes and about 3 capers and chicken that had to be sawed to cut through. The decor was left over seventies panelling painted over in black, too small tables and rickety chairs. We got our check to which the tax was already added, split 3 ways so we could each pay with our own credit cards and add our tips, but when they ran it through the charge they added the tax again separately, we asked them to void the charge and re run it without the double tax which they said they did. But now we have two charges to our account. I am being polite when I say they are not very nice business people. In two words DON'T GO. read more

So glad I tried this place for dinner! We have only done pizza deliveries until last night. Their pizza is amazing, much better than some of the burnt pizza slices you get up the road... The dinner was filling, reasonably priced and quite tasty. We had baked clams, my husband loved them and he's very picky abt his clams.. I had a grilled chicken dish w spinach and mozzarella DELICIOUS! My husband loved his chicken Parmesan. We both love their sauce. The salads are very fresh and come with a lot of care put in them.... Great job! We all need to support this business since they aren't so busy, the warm and fast service, food quality and flavors are SO much better than up the road.
