We called ahead to see if we could walk in or make an appointment, and they said to just walk in. For $20, I didn't really expect much. The old shop usually speeds through his entire head for like 10 mins, so I was expecting it to be fast. Chanh did a great job with the men's haircut! She was meticulous, and the whole process took 30 mins. I watched her shave the same part over and over to make sure it's even. If I could give zero stars, I would. The service was awful. I asked for long layers and got my hair chopped into a short bob. My brother asked for a trim and a Korean-style cut, they gave him a bowl cut. My mom also wanted layers and left with most of her hair gone. None of us got what we asked for, even with clear instructions and reference photos. The stylists seemed untrained and didn't listen at all. Completely unprofessional and careless. So disappointed with the results. I wanted a pixie hair cut, but she cut my hair way too short and insisted (after she had already cut it) that since I have thin hair, it wasn't going to look exactly like the picture I showed her. I replied that while of course it won't look exactly like the picture, it should at least look similar; I also said that she could've told me that the style wouldn't look good with my hair type, so I could choose another one that best suited me. When I told her that the back was too short, she replied that my neck is short, not like the woman in the picture (seriously...). I was talking about the hair length and that was what she replied with! When I told her that I didn't like the results, she kept mumbling (I couldn't understand all that she said, because she wasn't speaking too clearly), that my hair was too thin and oily. Overall, I was extremely disappointed because as a stylist, she didn't even try to listen to my concerns and was very offensive towards me. Absolute best hair salon in this area. I have been always looking for a hair salon that's closer to my house as I was so tired driving 20-30 min just to get a decent hair cut. But this salon is so close my house and conveniently located off the 75 (spring creek). It's tucked in next to some Korean restaurant and from the outside it doesn't look that special. But once you enter you see get the vibe of the salon and that the owner/hair stylist (Jin) is a perfectionist. His wife is mainly the person who helps him with front desk, shampooing and drying hair. And he does all the cutting and chemical treatments. I unfortunately schedule something right after my hair cut and they were so nice to accommodate my schedule even they didn't have to. I very much appreciated it. He examined my hair and knew exactly how to cut it. And how to make my crazy hair look so much lighter and good. I will schedule a magic perm (Japanese straightening) next time and I hope it comes out well too which I'm certain it will. As he seems such a perfectionist who takes great pride in this industry and wanting to provide the best experience and customer service too all his client. I stopped by this salon approximately 20 minutes before their closing time. I received no greetings and didn't feel welcomed there. There was a customer inside the salon but the owner and his wife decided to close their salon early on that day and only said "We finished!" They turned off their open sign lights after I left. We get our hair cut, hair color, and my teenage daughter's hair is something else. She has super super frizzy hair. We only trust Jin with her hair. Jin is the best! All the men in our family go to him. He has been the most helpful hair stylist. We've followed him across town now and will continue to go to him at this new salon. We make the drive from Downtown Dallas to Plano, and it's still worth it! He cut my husband's hair for our engagement and wedding photos. He is not only professional but also very friendly and helpful. I am honestly not the best person to explain stuffs, but he patiently waited for me to explain every details that I wanted, and he cut my hair just as what I wanted!
