I came here because the glasses and contacts I had prior did not give me clear vision. I was recommended this place by someone. The technician that helped me was really helpful and nice her names Joanna. Dr Nguyen was also very informative and kind and i enjoyed the service from everyone. The staff here are all really friendly and helpful. Gloria helped me choose really nice frames and i got my glasses after a week and when I put them on I was shocked! Don't go there without appointment! They'll straight up look at you through their glass doors and won't even acknowledge you or pretend you're not even standing there. They won't open the door or even acknowledge you unless you have an appointment. We were standing there at the door knocking and calling the phone number it asks us to call and never answered even though we were standing right OUTSIDE looking at them straight from outside! Stereotyped us for sure! Right when we gave up and walked away, another family walked up to the door and got immediately attention! Rude staff!!!! Latino staff who don't have manners! Boycott them! She has given us such good care and is very knowledgeable. I was recommended to come here for all my optical needs. We went on a Tuesday and it looked empty. The lady (older lady with short hair) refused to open the door when we knocked. We had to call the phone number for her to finally come to the door. She immediately turned us away saying we need an appointment to just look at frames. Very kind workers! I'm not sure why there are so many "bad reviews" about the doors being locked and everything. In my experience they reminded me to call to be let in multiple times. I feel safer that the door is locked too cause on my way over I heard two homeless people fighting and yelling so it makes sense for their doors to be locked. Besides that everything was great from the eye exam to picking my glasses. I would say this is the best eye doctor and clinic I've ever been. Dr. Nguyen and staffs are such sweethearts. I started going to this clinic since April this year since I'm pretty new to the Bay area. I always had a great experience every time I come in, no complaints at all! Staffs are always friendly and welcoming. Dr. Nguyen is very competent and knowledgeable to what she's doing. I'm very grateful that she's taking good care of me. Had an awesome experience going to Image Eyecare for my annual check up. They are very responsive with the appointment setting, and reminded me the day before the appointment. When I got there, they quickly greeted me and I only waited one minute. Dr. Hwang was very patient. She explained everything, including what tests she was doing and why she was doing them. Ultimately, I didn't have any issues (thank goodness). Natalie helped me with the glasses. She explained clearly how much each option would cost, and told me what my out of pocket would be. I have been here 2 times for Eye Exam- my son is coming back next week and it has been a great experience. I love the Dr, she spends time to explain everything. My son has diabetes and she explained to him the dangers and to be proactive. Kids don't always listen to parents so I liked her approach. I recommend the center. My experience here was nothing short of amazing! Beginning with my initial call to schedule an appointment as a new patient, Gloria was extremely nice and helpful in looking up my insurance and scheduling me within the same week. Upon arrival I was greeted by her and she walked me back to meet with Samantha who helped with pretesting. She was very nice, patient and thoroughly explained each test she was doing. Next was my visit with Dr Nguyen, can't say enough great things about her! She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to help correct my astigmatism with contact lenses, my previous location told me that I could only use glasses to correct this. I was beyond excited to know that I can see now! I also found out I have a condition called keratoconus which she took time to educate me on, gave me a recommendation for a specialist, and advised me to visit to try to prevent further progression. Lastly, I went to pick out my glasses and was helped by Natalie. She was so helpful I've never had anyone actually help me find glasses that fit my facial features even helped me find a color that complimented my skin tone. This is one of the weirdest businesses I have experienced. The two stars are for the really nice optometrist, Mr. Nguyen. But I went to pick something up, and while the shop said it was open, the doors were locked. I knocked on the door. Two times, pretty loudly. Then I pressed my face to the glass and saw two women's heads, poking above this desk in the back of the store. So I knocked again and said loudly, "I can see you both!" Then, one of them, reluctantly, came to the door and let me in to pick up my items. I suspect that one or both of those women are related to the owner, based on how rude they felt they could be. This is now my second time visiting Image Eyecare and the second time was just as pleasant as the first even during covid. The office is super clean and the staff takes all the precautions necessary. They have you call in prior to going into the office to complete a covid health attestation, they check your temperature at the door, and they have hand sanitizer available throughout the office. I left a bit confused and shocked. I have been shopping around the for Ray Bans new wayfarer prescription glasses. I have been purchasing the same lenses for 4 years and thought I would try this new place closer to home. For the exact same frames that usually cost me from 150-200, they quoted me somewhere around 370, without the prescription lenses. I asked if that could be a mistake as these glasses are always the same price everywhere I go, including the Ray Ban website itself. They said that sometimes if it's polarized it's more expensive, but having bought these before I know they are 50$ more for the polarized version. Just had our second round of eye exams. The staff is super friendly. Dr Nguyen is very thorough in her eye exam. She showed me before and after to see how my prescription was changing. She cared to make sure that the prescription wasn't too strong. Laughed at my terrible dad jokes. What more could you ask for? Staff wasn't pushy with regards to purchasing. They were very accommodating and were helpful in finding frames that were better fits/etc. The Covid19 precautions made us feel safe during our shopping. To be very honest with you no one really cares about you as a patient in this office. Sometimes the doctor is not even in the office so I'm not sure how it's operating. If you're not willing to spend hundreds of dollars here they have no compassion towards you. Not coming back. Also, the two ladies at the front always have a attitude. Overall, a pretty meh and overpriced experience. Was quoted a lower price over the phone for a contacts exam and got charged $20 more after the exam for a total of around $110. Exam only took like 15 minutes. Nothing special about it. Although you get a small rebate from the manufacturer, this place charges full price for contacts. Glasses were quite overpriced too. Even with VSP co-pay, ended up paying over $200 out of pocket here for just an exam and contacts. Factoring my VSP premiums, it was ~$310 total for a contacts exam and a year's supply of contacts. I don't even want to think about how much it would have been if I got glasses here too. Would have been hundreds more. Save yourself the money and just go to Walmart for a $90 glasses + contacts exam and purchase the contacts online at a cheaper price. Might just not opt for VSP next year and do that. Would save at least $70-80. read more

Inside one will note the extensive selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses. They carry designer brands like Tiffany & Company, Burberry, Juicy Couture. They also carry other eyeglasses brands as well. I've been seeing Dr. Mahajerani since she first opened up shop in Oakridge Mall which was nearly ten years ago. Dr. Mahajerani is smart, considerate and kind. Over the years this has been my one stop shop for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Ages ago, when I didn't have eye insurance I came to Image Eyecare. Do note that from time to time they run specials for people without eye insurance which makes eyeglasses and contacts affordable. Currently, I have eye insurance. Came here recently for an eyeglass and contact lenses exam. It turns out I have an astigmatism. I was able to find a beautiful pair of Tiffany and Company eyeglasses and get contact lenses (one daily) which worked out just fine. Dr. Mahajerani and her staff are always working hard to take care of their patients. I'm glad that I've found an optometrist and staff that I trust with my eye care needs, I highly recommend Image Eyecare Optometry to all my family and friends. Image Eyecare is great. Conveniently located at Oakridge Mall, so I get down to some shopping. They are open seven days a week, so we can definitely get in there some time. The staff there is really friendly and knowledgeable. Although they have some high end designer frames, my husband selected his first pair of glasses there. He could not be happier with their service. Through trial and error we found two great pairs. They are knowledgeable (better than most) at working with insurance companies. I have been wearing glasses and contact lenses for over 22 years and the team at Image Eyecare is far the best. I highly suggest making an appointment on the weekends, or you will be waiting :) The three optometrists we used there have been knowledgeable and work really hard to give you the right prescription.
