If you are blonde and want to stay blonde don't go to this place for your high lights! My daughter recently had her hair highlighted and cut for a special event--Prom, her service was done by Xuan and 1st she left 1.5 inch roots 2nd did a terrible highlight throughout , very blocky and not well blended , so she had to go back to get it smudged/ fixed Now to the next bad experience and 3rd issue: the smudging with Alandra Elizondo left her roots a brassy orange color that she was not happy with. She left with a bottle of purple shampoo that she had to pay extra for. Why would we need to purchase product if the hair is done correctly in the first place we shouldn't need this! 4 the owner refused to refund any money and or nor did anything to make it right! She was charged over $300 for terrible results. BTW the website pricing states highlights start at $145. She was charged $50 for a teeny tiny trim that took less than 5 minutes and was trimmed with dry hair and was also charged extra for toner... somehow her services ended up over $300. If your staff makes a mistake you should do what it takes to fix it even if that means doing it yourself! I understand that hair prices are what they are but the customer walking out spending over $400 and hating the results is not righ! This experience has brought my daughter to tears! It's not just about the money!! NEVER GO HERE FOR CUT OR COLOR! We certainly will never return! Went to Steph after having a HORRIBLE experience with another stylist. Couldn't be happier with Steph's service. A few weeks ago I tried to go from a blonde-ish balayage to back to my darker hair. Turns out the first stylist only put toner in my hair so it lightened back up and turned a muddy green color after only 10 days!!!! Not only that but the layers I had asked for previously, weren't blended and done beautifully. I felt horrible having to complain about service I had received but Steph assured me that she would fix it and I would leave happy. And boy did she deliver!!! I've never been so happy with my hair!!! The color is beautiful and PERMANENT this time (not just toner) and I'm BLOWN away by the cut and layers she gave me. Steph is MAGIC! UPDATE: I came in for a bang trim today, and they charged me $20. I have never in my adult life gone to a low-end salon, and that's why I found it disappointing that I didn't not receive a free bang trim after spending over $400 last week. I've never paid for a bang trim. I'm surprised they weren't interested in fostering loyalty; even after I took the time to write a glowing review, post on Instagram and Yelp (which they asked me to). I originally thought this place was decent, but am disappointed that not only did I not get the length of bangs I asked for the first time (a fact I was willing to overlook, bc I liked them), but was charged $20 less than a week later to have it fixed. ORIGINAL POST: I went in today with v damaged, green hair. Lol Chi, my beautiful stylist, made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process! She was v warm and inviting, and seemed to genuinely care about my experience. She turned my three-toned, DIY hair into something I can truly feel proud about! She took her time, and it came out better than my inspiration photos! I have received several compliments since leaving today, and will definitely be returning! I went from medium short to short ala Helen Mirren and Katie knew exactly how to get that look. She is a true artist of hair and I'm so happy with my new cut! I was very pleased with their costumer service. To me something that is very important for a business is their ability to resolve something. I went in for a haircut and color. When I got home I realized that my roots didn't look to really match the rest of the hair. I was hesitant to call just because I was afraid that they wouldn't offer a solution. Well I did call and to my surprise they were VERY willing to make me happy and made an appointment for the same day. I went in and they were extremely nice and did my roots to my liking. I think y'all would agree, when you've got a fantastic hairstylist it's hard to find a comparable one; someone you trust in whatever she/he does would be wonderful! I asked lots of questions and was being honest by stating my concerns; long hair, stubborn grays, likes big hair...lol. She recommended Anna and was able to accommodate me on a Saturday morning. I got there with photos of hairstyles I liked. Anna asked what I was looking to achieve today and what I specifically liked about the hairstyles I showed her since they were all similiar. I am new to SA and spend hours reviewing hair salons, after asking around I got the recommendation for Ashley at this place. So I booked it and once I Arrived they had me down for a haircut with Edy. I showed them my email confirmation that specified "Ashley" and their response was that since I am a NEW customer they would figure they would put me with Edy since Ashley was booked (I have my email confirmation with time date and name). Then they asked me if I wanted to wait until Ashley was done (she had 2 persons ahead of me). I felt this is completely wrong. Just passing you along with anyone else because you are a NEW client. I have a recommendation for an outstanding hair salon in the Stone Oak area.The name is Image Makers. The owner is Sandra Torres. My first visit was a disaster. That person is no longer there. I got in touch with Sandra to tell her how unhappy I was and she immediately set up an appointment to correct everything. I got a fantastic razor cut from Eddie and perfect highlights from Ashley. Okay, let me start by saying this is the worst customer service I have ever had in my life. My stylist was Julie, and the manager is Ashley. I went into this salon with a beautiful balayage that I had done somewhere else, and I simply asked Image Makers to fill it in because I was wanting a Balayage ombré. **I had virgin hair besides what was already bleached** I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they assured me that they would be able to do it and that it would look great... well they were sadly mistaken. I could have done so much better at home with my eyes closed. After 6 hours at this salon, the end result was hideous. My balayage was gone. I had horizontal lines everywhere!!! And my hair is now FOUR COLORS... I don't even know how that is achievable... Brown roots, orange demarcation, blonde and platinum "highlights"... I was reassured that the orange would come out with purple shampoo, but it didn't. So if that wasn't bad enough, because my hair was so tightly curled at the salon, I straightened my hair at home only to find out that huge chunks are way off. Half of my hair was taken way higher than the other half because two different girls were working on my hair to "save time." So I call the manager (Ashley) to get a refund or a fix, and she begins to tell me that in the hair industry they don't offer refunds, but that I could go in and get it fixed by the same girl. **Okay, what?? The same girl who ruined my hair is going to fix it?? Yeah, that sounds logical...** So I showed up anyway, and asked the manager to fix it, but she just stared at this disaster for about 30 minutes and told me that she would just try to use MORE bleach to take the line higher and eliminate the brassiness. But before she starts, she says "Can I just ask, are you going to be happy with anything we try to do?" To which I respond "If you can't fix it I would like a refund because I will need to pay to get it fixed somewhere else." And she says "ma'am we don't offer refunds", and begins bleaching my hair. Another 2 hours pass, and my hair looks EXACTLY THE SAME! So I asked for another refund, and she was yelling at me the she couldn't give me a refund. There is a difference between not being able to and not wanting to. After another 10 minutes of arguing she slaps the money in my hand. How rude! We could have saved all of this time and energy had she done that in the first place! So if you've read this review to the end, PLEASE SAVE YOUR HAIR, MONEY, TIME and go somewhere else! read more

When I say fix it, that means I left with a color that is still Awful. I was charged 200 dollars and I still have to pay someone else to fix it... I will never go back. My mom and I both saw Ashley. She colored and highlighted my mom's hair and cut and did a Brazilian blowout to my hair. My mom actually has her formula for color and highlights that she has been using for years. Ashley changed it up a bit and it came out looking awesome! Way less brassy and more natural looking. Pros: Easily fit me in when I was late, clean & quiet environment, stylist was not talky-talky Cons: Did not cover over emerging gray hair at temples, cut tons more length off than wanted I think the reviews on this salon are by salon members mostly as I honestly would've been waaayyyy disappointed and angry if I had grown out my hair to the length it was and wanted to keep it. After much research I decided to give this place a try. Through my searching I had read many reviews and they were rave reviews so why not give it a shot, right? WRONG! I had an appointment with Janet, she was on time for the appointment, great. When I see a stylist I like them to give me input on what they think will be good, not me telling them what I want. I wanted to try something new and she kept asking me what I wanted, I thought, okay this isn't going to work. I told her I wanted it dark with highlights so that is what we went with so much for trying something different. Janet washed my hair out and dried it...disappointed. It was not dark, well the back part was (I have a bob) but the top was blonde. Then more disappointment came when I went to check out. When I called to set up the appointment I asked the charges at they said for what I wanted it would be $80 okay, sounds good. Checkout and the lady tells me that it's going to be $134 and change. My jaw dropped! She reduced it to $124 which is still a far cry from the $80 I was quoted on the phone and didn't even get what I wanted. Oh let's not forget when I left I had dye on my forehead, side of my face and neck. Yeah...SLOPPY!!! DO NOT GO HERE! They also say if you give them a review while there they will give you a 10% discount when you show them the review. Yeah, pretty sure they wouldn't have given me the discount with this review. I went here to get a haircut and can say it is the worst haircut of my life but also the worst salon experience overall. Even though they were not closing for a couple of hours after my appointment, they were in a rush to leave and my stylist cut my hair in under twenty minutes. She cut my hair dry and then washed it afterwards, so I left with wet hair. Even though I specifically said not to thin out my hair, I watched her cut a massive chunk of it and she even told me she was thinning it out. I am left with chunky, uneven hair and I even cried when I got home, which I have never done after a haircut. I am never going back here and do not recommend it to anyone else either. read more
