My friend decided to surprise me with some donuts and kolaches from her favorite donut shop- Immanuel. She speaks so highly of them. Great customer service and great food! She was not overreacting... Now I understand the hype. Baby, I ate 2 donuts and 2 kolaches in one sitting. It's so soft and fluffy and not overly sweet. So delicious, it was worth ALL the calories. The buttery kolaches' bread was so soft, and they had the right amount of heat to it. I understand why this place is in her daily routine. It's sooo damn good. Let me say I'm all for helping small businesses. Not only that I get the worst microwave warmed up croissant with semi cold meat in the middle for a ridiculously taxed up price. I also receive all of my kolache's cold wasn't even offered to heat them up at all by the Indian girl, I then asked for a eclair and instead of asking me if I wanted it filled with cream, I presumed it was already filled because she didn't ask me. No filling. Ordered was 2 sandwiches, a dozen cold nasty kolaches, 1 maple eclair, a milk. 37$ do me a favor if you're going to charge a crazy price at least have good service. 1-10 will not be going back read more

Had to give myself a little post workout treat, so naturally had to drop by the first donut place along the road. The exterior is pretty deceptive in the sense that the sign just reads "Donuts" haha so I wasn't entirely sure if I was at the right place. It has a cute and quirky, small town type feel, checkered floor tiles, fluorescent lighting, bright wall paint, etc. The service was great, donut pretty average tbh, but it makes for a good clutch shop. I loved how the donut was fresh, presuming they can maintain this as they had a shop full of people with pretty consistent traffic. 2 knocks for me was there weren't any unique donuts and I hate when there isn't a milk/half&half pot for coffee. The crescent kolaches were awesome! Better than most kolaches. The donut holes melted in your mouth and the cinnamon rolls were extremely tasty. They had just run out of raspberry filled donuts because the lady in front of me bought two dozen but I tried the eclair with raspberry which was yummy! I would highly recommend. read more

I buy donuts and kolaches from this place several times a month for my clients. The staff is always super nice (even when I spring large orders on them with no notice). The food is your standard quality of a volume donut shop. I've never had any complaints from my team or my clients. They also have a small coffee bar and two fridges filled with beverages. I wanted to buy half a dozen donuts for my office, and they gave me a dozen and then some for the same price. The workers are incredibly nice. Came in on a Monday at 10am in the morning. The parking lot is shared with other retailers, but it was easy to find parking here. Saw a donut signed and we'll it's the only donut place at this location so I walked in. I took a look at the menu, they have a great selection of old fashion donuts to creative looking donuts, kolaches, and burritos. I've been wanting a blueberry donut and wanted to at least get their rainbow donut because it looks too cute to not get one. Overall, taste was fresh and great. I decided to buy donuts for before work after I left the gym. I used yelp to find the closest ones with 4 or more stars. This place was one of two and probably less than mile. In a small strip center, but let me tell you, location does not matter here. This place was great. So many decorative donuts. I am a Krispy Kreme fan, but these were a close 2nd. So many options and donuts were fresh. They had other stuff, cinnamon roles, twist, kolaches, etc. Donuts were a hit. I am sure they have a few new fans now. II recently moved back into the Galleria area and was looking for the type of donut shop I used to go to with my family when I was a kid. Not a Dunkin or Krispy or Shipley's, I was looking for a small mom & pop. However, the donut's and the selection still had to be good. As soon as I stepped foot into Immanuel's, I knew, I was in the right place. How? Well, because the proprietors were from the far east, true craftsmen and very nice people. The selection was impressive, even breakfast croissant sandwiches. I always evaluate the quality of a donut place by testing out the standard yet classic, glazed donut. Not only was it fresh, but just the right amount of sweetness. AND it was not too dense, like most donut places. I understand that here in Texas everyone loves everything super sweet. For me that's not the case. I really wanted to love their donuts, so much in fact that I tried them twice. The donut itself is super moist and fluffy but the icing and frosting is just too sweet. Also, the custard filling has too much lemon zest. If that's your thing then this is the place for you. In addition I had the bacon and egg croissant. The sandwiches are stored in a display box and taken out as they are ordered. The associate asked me if I wanted mine warmed up and I did. (because who likes a cold breakfast sandwich?) She put it in the microwave. That's the biggest mistake you can make when serving croissants. They turn soggy and loose their flakiness and layers. After it was warmed up I was left with soggy, oily bread. I know they do this to save time and give their food out quickly but I would of gladly waited 10 min for them to warm it up in a oven. read more

Just your run of the mill donut shop, doesn't have any crazy or unique pastries but the classics still have their place.

A lot of other donut places just serve glorified pigs in a blanket as their kolaches, but not here! The roll is soft and isn't hollowed out and you get a lot of sausage so the meat to cheese ratio is just right. And the jalapeño option has a little jalapeño on top so it's easy to tell which is which if you order some with or without jalapeñoes. But really everything is good here! Their cinnamon rolls have lots of cinnamon on them and are perfectly gooey. The blueberry donut is also one of my favorites. Oh, and they have a really huge drink selection. Seriously, there's a full wall of fridges with everything from milk and coffee to cokes and gatorade. This place is always busy but they get through customers fast (which is probably why they're not the overly friendliest place since they don't have time to stop and say hello/goodbye). Just left this donut shop and I'm satisfied. The presentation of the donuts put me in the state of awe even thought I'm a plain ol glazed girl. Try it on the cinnamon rolls and it with the kolaches, you will be hooked...The workers are very friendly as is the owner.I have been going there for years. The guy here is really nice. I always show up about 4:40 and he opens up for me even though they don't open till 5:30. Good pigs in a blanket, apple fritters and a perfectly acceptable plain cake donut. They serve Community coffee, which is not bad. I just started drinking coffee so I'm no expert, though. However, I would get frustrated with them because depending on the day you went, sometimes their donuts were hard and not fresh. So I started to go to Immanuel's. 1. They have the freshest donuts. 2. They have the best kolaches in the entire Texas. 3. They have chocolate sprinkle donuts(the small round sprinkles) it matters trust me! 4. They have that good, standard chocolate donuts. This is another neighborhood donuts shop. (As most are) it has all the expected suspects. Glazed, eclair, Colotchie, etc....etc... I had the Lg colotchie bacon & cheese + glazed donut. Both were good,not wowed but would order again. The service is fast & friendly and to some, the gospel music playing might be a plus. (I'm neutral, to each their own) I do have to take issue with the cleanliness of the store. The floors were very dirty. This is not the kind of dirtiness that comes from an unexpected busy rush,this is the kind of dirty that comes from lack of eye to detail and care. Upon entering, you are greeted with eye popping colors and delicious images of the products they offer.
