Best pretzels hands down. They are extremely fresh. Staff makes it right there on sight. Cheese dip is amazing. Strawberry lemonade is amazing. Just come here, you won't regret it.

Everything was pretty great, a lot of people comes by and gets their pretzels, they have plenty of options and everyone seems to come and see them at one point it was so full so we had to wait outside for our orders.they all tasted pretty goood. I love the sour cream and the dipping sauces. Service was very nice and they try to accommodate everyone.

Mmmmm....pretzels. Buttery, hot, soft pretzels. Dipping sauces for said pretzels. There are no bad choices here. I think I noticed some kind of shakes/drinks but we were on the hunt for a good pretzel. We definitely had them here. I loved the caramel dipping sauce and my friend really liked the cheese and sweet mustard options. Since I was on a gluttonous rampage this weekend, I decided to enjoy my buttery pretzel as-is. There are options to get them without the butter. Counter service moves the line quickly and there are some tables outside to sit down and enjoy a treat.

A solid bet. You can't go wrong here. Each of the pretzels is delicious. Soft, buttery, goodness. You just can't go wrong here. Go!

Let me first start off by saying this was hands down the best soft pretzel I ever had. It was extremely fresh, nice & hot, and just overall, so good. We were visiting the Amish town in Pennsylvania on a Saturday and stopped by the market area to walk around and browse the stores. Here is when we decided to have a snack at this pretzel place. The line was long but moved very quickly. They were very efficient here. We ordered 2 pretzels and wanted more after we finished them. That's how delicious they were. With our soft pretzels, we also had 2 different dips to try out. A cheese dip and a sweet mustard dip. Again, both these dips were excellent. They complimented the pretzel well. I especially enjoyed the sweet mustard one. So flavorful. And the prices were extremely cheap, compared to what other Pretzel places charge. Overall, this place is a must try when visiting the Amish.

[1105] 6/2020 We stopped at this local pretzel place while on our bike ride. I'm so glad we did as the pretzels are SOOO tasty and soft. The inside was clean and the staff was very friendly. There are a few tables outside for use. I don't know where to park or where the parking is as we rode our bikes. I'm glad I book marked this place as I will definitely be back.

Not bad. I agree this is one of very good ones. Dough was very good but they gave too much sugar which killed overall flavor.

Of all the pretzels we had in Lancaster County -- and we had more than we should have -- this place was noticeably the best. Well done!

We had ridden the Strasburg Railroad earlier…read morein the day and were looking for a place to eat when I fired up Yelp and found the Tavern by Spring House Brewing. It is located on East Main Street in downtown Strasburg. The inside consists of a large main room with an L shaped bar, a number of TVs, and then a second dining room off to the side. Since no one was seated in the second room and we had twin four year olds with us, we chose that space. Unfortunately the TV in that room was broken, so we were not able to watch the Steelers game that was on. Aside from that, the room itself had a cozy and slightly eclectic feel. There was a decorated Christmas tree lit up in the corner near the staircase which gave the space a warm seasonal vibe. The walls were decorated with brewery signs and beer themed banners, and a bright yellow decorative mantel stood out against the darker wall colors. Overall it felt casual and welcoming and worked well for a family dinner. For dinner on this evening I went with the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak while my wife chose the K Town Mac Bowl. The menu described my wife's dish as three cheese cavatappi pasta with smoked pork slaw, Korean BBQ drizzle, sesame seeds, and scallions. My sandwich was described as smoked chicken, American cheese, buffalo sauce, gorgonzola, onion frizzles, ranch drizzle, and a hoagie roll. I thought my sandwich ended up being good, especially since it was chock full of chicken. The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered nicely and added a good crunch, which the onion frizzles helped reinforce. The gorgonzola added a nice pungent pop of flavor. While I did get some buffalo flavor, I definitely could have used more. Because of that, the sandwich was a little on the drier side despite having cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch drizzle. My fries were seasoned and had a nice texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Spring House Brewing, a flight consists of four beers and I chose the Cucumber Salamander, Backroads Shadows, Daily Planet, and Love and Rockets. The Love and Rockets ended up getting mixed up and I was instead served Grease the Poles. I started with the Cucumber Salamander, which is a sour. It was a bit tart right from the start and that carried through to the finish, with a little extra pucker at the end. Up next was Backroads Shadows, a lager with a crisp, clean start before the malts came through on the finish. This felt like a really good easy drinking beer. Third was Daily Planet, an IPA that had citrus up front followed by a solid hop presence that carried through the finish. Last was Grease the Poles, a pale lager that started off very clean before finishing with some lighter hop notes. Out of the bunch, the Cucumber Salamander was definitely my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Our food and drinks were good, and I would be interested in trying more of their beers.

I read the reviews for Lancaster Brewing (near a farm, cow, covered bridge, they serve pretzels, horse & buggys are nearby). When I saw that there was a bartender named Boots, I knew we had to visit. Hubby had already read about Lancaster Brewing and we were happy to visit. You can't tour the actual brewery anymore but the manger and bartenders are great about discussing the brewing process and styles. There were some interesting seasonal beers. We could have moved to a table but we enjoyed chatting with Boots. He is easy going and quite knowledgeable about everything on tap. The menu has sandwiches, pizza and pub food. My only wish is that they include fried pickles. The place is fun. The retail items are limited but you can buy a six pack for about $13 that you mix and match yourself. Growlers are also available. The place closes at 9pm, so plan accordingly if going at night.

If…read moreyou appreciate a good stout, a bold peanut-butter beer, or just a solid beer-food night out -- it's a reliably great destination. Their stouts are indulgent and well-executed; the Fresh Roasted Peanut Butter Ale is a fun, off-beat twist that's worth a try at least once; and the food (especially the crab dip and spicy wing option with Creepin' Dog Hot Sauce) rounds it all out so the experience doesn't feel like "just beer." If I were you and planning a visit, I'd start with a flight including the Double Chocolate Milk Stout + Fresh Roasted Peanut Butter Ale, grab the crab dip and maybe some wings with Creepin' Dog sauce -- that combo sums up everything great about what Lancaster does right.

When we were seated, we were given the prix fixe food menu but never provided with a drink menu. We were served water, but our waitress didn't ask if we'd like cocktails, wine, or any featured Valentine's drinks. For a special occasion dinner, that felt like a major oversight. The bigger issue, though, was the food. Several courses were noticeably undercooked and difficult to enjoy. The carrot salad had hard, undercooked carrots and a very bitter sauce that overwhelmed the dish. The grilled Badger Flame beets were also undercooked and had an unpleasant flavor. The beet risotto was firm and lacked the creamy consistency you expect from a properly prepared risotto. The halibut tasted overly fishy and seemed undercooked in the center. For $75 per person on Valentine's Day, we expected a polished, thoughtfully executed experience. Instead, the meal felt poorly prepared and not worth the price. It was an unsatisfying way to spend what should have been a special evening. The ambiance was very nice but the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Their outdoor terrace overlooks a scenic garden area that looks like it might even host weddings--it's that picturesque. The ambiance is peaceful, charming, and ideal for a relaxing weekend meal, whether you've just finished a bike ride or are simply looking for a quiet dining spot in Marietta. The menu had a lot of fresh, well-crafted options, and the cocktail list was fun and inventive. I tried the lavender lemon drop, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lavender complemented the classic citrusy flavor--an elegant twist on a traditional drink. For dinner, I went with the jalapeño cheddar burger, which was flavorful, juicy, and made with noticeably fresh ingredients. The fries were crisp and satisfying, while my mom and sister-in-law each opted for different sandwiches paired with house salads. They raved about the house-made vinaigrette, which had a fresh, tangy balance. We also started with the whipped feta dip and gouda mac and cheese--both were delicious. The feta was creamy and flavorful, and the mac had a rich, smoky bite to it. Our Entrees looked so delicious that I forgot to snap a photo beforehand. Service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, and her suggestions were spot on. In terms of value, I was really impressed. With so many places these days serving tiny portions at high prices, Railroad House Inn stands out as a restaurant that delivers quality, fresh ingredients, and generous portions at a fair price. All in all, this was a five-star experience. Great food, beautiful location, warm service--I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially after enjoying the nearby Northwest Lancaster County River Trail.
