Impel helped us with our office move. They moved two offices plus four desks including racks, printers, file cabinets, leather sofas and furniture. They were reliable and gentle. Alex and Rodion did a great job on my within-building move. There was one snafu in the morning (not their fault!): When booking the move, I had the nagging suspicion that something important wasn't communicated. Turned out that the person on the phone forgot to ask which city! Alex and Rodion showed up in SF, when I was in Berkeley. :( Checking my email, the confirmation message did say SF. Thankfully, they just drove across the bay, moved all my stuff, and still got it done by 3 pm. They were courteous, and I think this is the one move where nothing got at all damaged (I suppose it always helps not to have to get everything into the truck). They offered the best rate I could find in the city and were very responsive and easy to work with leading up to the move, answering my many questions quickly and in a friendly manner. They had an easy to use reservation system and on the day of the move they arrived on time, were careful, diligent and efficient. They were very nice and easy to work with, helped take apart and put back any furniture we had (even fixing my dresser that had been broken before the move without me asking!) and made sure nothing was lost or broken (they even managed to track down a small screw we lost and made sure to test the TV before and after). We requested a quote through Yelp, and Maksim responded quickly with a quote and assured us they could work with our dates. The movers, Taras and Sergey, showed up on time with packing material and moving supplies, they inspected everything beforehand, and then worked efficiently to help us finish packing. They were careful loading everything onto the truck, and nothing was damaged in transit. On arrival they quickly reassembled our furniture, placed everything thoughtfully around our new house, and were mindful of our new space. Paul, Alex and Andrew helped me with a move on Friday and I couldn't be more grateful for their help. Before the move, they were accommodating on changing the time they would arrive after a last minute change on my part, and the move itself was great - they took great care of my furniture while moving it, treating every piece like it was fragile, and made sure that no small piece was left behind. Impel Moving did an awesome job helping me move from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor (all stairs!) to a storage unit! I contacted many different Bay Area moving companies and Impel Moving had the best and most comprehensive hourly rate (including truck, stairs, boxes, shrink wrap, etc.). Dennis was super easy to contact and was fast to respond with any questions. Dennis and his partner were extremely fast and efficient and took great care of all our things during the move. They took extra care to wrap all the sofas, mattresses and furniture with shrink wrap to ensure their safety. I had a sofa that barely fit out the apartment door that they hauled down the three flights stairs seamlessly! With COVID, they kept a friendly distance and were safe. So price was average for most companies I looked at. The guys did a good job wrapping and packing things we had left out of boxes. They disassemble and reassembled everything correctly from what I could tell thus far. They worked pretty fast for a 3 man team consider how much stuff we had for a two bedroom apartment. He also was open to my feedback about scheduling moves so late in the day if the movers are (understandably) going to be too tired to do a good job. These guys are the real deal! I've moved several times over the past year and these guys are hands down one of the best companies I have worked with. Dennis and his team are exceptional! Communication was immediate over email with the initial quote. I decided on going with 3 guys to help me move from Berkeley to Alameda. Best choice for sure for my 2 bedroom apartment. I mainly needed them for all the big items since I had moved my smaller items prior. They don't nickel and dime you like so many of the other companies that I reached out (i.e. bubble wrap and wardrobes are included!!). They arrived exactly on time on the move date and quickly went to work! They had to disassemble my king bed as well as my kid's queen bed which they perfectly re-assembled at the new place. The overall move took about 7 hours and the cost was absolutely worth it! All of my items arrived in the same shape as when they moved it.
