I live close by, and one night I counting on my Yelppies, and this place popped up, look new to me, so I decided to give them a tried I was in maybe on Sunday night, actually evening, around 5pm, the place was empty, I look over the menu, is the same what posted on here. Is funny when I walked in, I didn't see one Chinese person, it look like all Latin people, which to me a little wired, is like me walking into a taco place fully of Chinese. lol So okay, I give it a tried anyway, the girl working in the front is super nice, I ordered the Fried Rice and also like to order an egg roll, and...guess what? It was on a whim that I found this place but I'm so happy I did. Finding good Chinese food in this area hasn't been easy, but this family-owned spot completely changed that for me. I ordered to go for a family of 8 tonight and everything was super yummy! The Kung Pao Chicken was definitely my fave and had a little spice but not too much which was perfect! I had a special request for my sister's kids chicken and rice and they were so kind about it and willing to accommodate which was so nice. The rangoons were so delicious and crunchy and the sauce was subtle and sweet. My brother couldn't eat his orange chicken fast enough so I didn't even get a taste lol! I couldn't really tell you what the rolls were but they were amazing. We also ordered the garlic edamame and let me just tell you, get it! They were the best edamame I've ever tasted. Kyoto sushi is a new Japanese restaurant that recently had its grand opening on May 17, 2024. They're located on Decatur and Sunset, it's the next entrance passed Cafe Berlin. You'll find them in the same area as Pikey Coffee and Birria Bites, right next to a barber shop. The area has good parking. For a new restaurant, grand opening day is huge! As more people arrived, the wait time became longer and with a small space, there isn't enough tables to accommodate for dine-in. Inside is a casual atmosphere with very limited seating for a group of 2 to 4 people. It's really busy but I was able to find a seat, Santiago is very nice and prompt to bring the menu, and I placed an order with ease just before dinner rush. Menu offers a good selection of appetizers, barbecue, nigiri and sashimi, entrees and combos, rice bowls, bento box, ramen, they have a variety of sushi rolls from classic to special, baked, deep-fried, and signature rolls. For drinks, they have canned sodas, green tea, coffee, and bubble tea. The House Salad ($2.95) is okay, it's a small serving of crisp romaine with tangy ginger dressing. I love Gyoza (5 pieces, $5.95), these are very good! It's wonderfully crispy and tasty with hoisin dipping sauce. Golden California ($5.95) is also good, it's an inside-out California roll with tempura that's deep fried to a golden crispiness. Black Garlic Ramen ($13.95) is flavorful and delicious! It has the most tender and delicate pork chashu, with nice and chewy al dente noodles, enoki mushroom, soft-boiled egg, green onions and seaweed, and the broth is amazing! I'm glad they offer Thai Tea ($4.50), so good! This drink is very cooling, has a lovely sweetness and super refreshing! Taro Milk Tea (16 oz, $5.50) is yummy and not too sweet. As for dessert, they have mochi and ice cream, the Matcha ice cream ($2.95) has a stretchy and gummy consistency, it's not as smooth as a regular green tea ice cream. As for the atmosphere, it seemed quiet and mellow, then it got suddenly chaotic, noisy, and awkward. If they had good music on, that might change the mood to make the space feel inviting and welcoming. Despite the wait and delay, service from Santiago, Mel, KC, and Ruben is very courteous, attentive, efficient, and friendly. I'm definitely considering a return, they have good food, refreshing drinks, a loyalty stamp card, also the staff members are very kind, helpful, accommodating, and polite. read more

This place just opened recently and I'm here to tell you that it is amazing and awesome. I was greeted by the manager upon entering, sports was on the TVs the staff was very attentive. I ordered the black garlic Ramen, my wife ordered the kalbi got different rolls which were the paradise and 911 rolls. All of it was wonderful. Let me start by saying I did not really like Chinese food up until the point I visited New York and went to Wo Hop in china town. It was a whole new experience. since living in Vegas, I've never found Chinese food that I liked. I'm sure there's many places I haven't experienced however I will say this place has everything. I wanted the dumplings taste fresh not frozen the beef chow. Fun is one of my favorites the noodles are perfect consistency. When I ask for extra spicy, they know how to get the job done. Also, I would recommend the crab and cream cheese wontons they use real crab meat. The sesame chicken is also amazing. I've been back to this place a half a dozen times since they changed ownership. Every time my grandparents from Hawaii, we always go and eat here after church, but we started coming here when it was the store before the store, but we didn't know until we walked in although we were shocked that it was a new store we decided to stay and try it out and we're glad that we did. Service is nice, but slow. I really wanted to like this place, but felt like fish quality was the worse I've had in Vegas :/ when we came in, there was only one table besides ours, even for a small place, but after our first order, it started picking up. Around my first order, I had ordered the sashimi platter, which comes with 8 pieces. I waited 40mins for that. Sadly, it's a shallow bowl with 6 almost thickly sliced sashimi (comparable to what is topped on sushi rolls) and small scallop chunks that was okay. Over an hour later and 10 minutes into waiting for my last order of ramen, the salmon sashimi had a slight darker color than the rest of it on the edges. My fiancés ramen was good even though he did say the chasu wasn't tender. The broth was good and not salty like some places may get. Their dragon roll was good, but I had a roll with salmon in it and it wasn't. Definitely consistent with what I'm concluding as low quality salmon. As my sashimi platter was lack luster, I attempted to order ramen and another dragon roll. They were busy by then, but after awhile of waiting. I went to ask if they would give me the check and put my order to go. The guy was very nice about it and informed me it would still be a wait. Which I asked how long and he said 30mins. I asked for the order to be cancelled and paid then requested a small box. Which when I opened it at the table already had food crumb in it. Their taro milk tea, which our nice server suggested, was really good. Their fried oyster was good, but came to us barely room temp. Overall, we did come during grand opening and at 50% off, was a decent experience, but had I paid full price for that sashimi platter, I'd be mad. Summary: nice service, good ramen and drinks, but raw fish is lacking in quality. read more
