After a long day skiing, my husband and I were looking for something comforting and warm to fill our ravenous appetite. Imperial Palace delivered! Saturday night in full swing, we had no problem securing a spot in their parking lot to dine in. We were seated in a booth away from the arctic blast of the front door and were promptly given menus. We landed on a Pu Pu Platter for two with a side of beef lo mein and a couple cocktails. The Pu Pu Platter arrived with a decorative flame in a very impressively arranged platter. Who knew our desires to warm up by the fire would be fulfilled! Everything was very tasty. The boneless ribs were a bit fatty but the rest was a hit. There's a private parking lot to the side. Credit cards are accepted. The food as a whole needed more flavor. The half order of Peking duck was generous but most of the taste was in the sauce which gathered at the bottom. There was more bell peppers and celery than chicken in the Kung pao chicken. The hot and sour soup was more on the sour side, and the house special lo mein was decent. They did give us a side of white rice, which I believe went with the kung pao chicken. We had leftovers of the kung pao and rice (there were 4 of us) so the portion sizes were decent. read more

I have been coming here for years and honestly just came onto Yelp to check the hours but am surprised by the negative reviews. I have probably dined here 15-20 times, on every trip to the White Mountains and it is legitimately my favorite dinner spot in town. After 60 minutes, I call. The delivery driver left 10mins ago. After 80mins, I call. The delivery driver couldn't find my house. I was supposed to call him (I didn't know his number) to tell him where I was. I call him. His phone went straight to voicemail but his mailbox was full. I call back to their main number to give my address and phone number again. After 100mins, I call again. The delivery driver is back at the restaurant. I hadn't received a call asking for directions. my wife and I stayed overnight in Lincoln and decided to try the imperial Palace. We paid just under $50 for a poo poo platter for two, Wonton soup and. General Gau's chicken. my wife and I have owned food service businesses for over 30 years, and the minute we picked up the food we could tell that the oil was very old. Except for the wonton soup, which was very good, the rest of the food was disgusting. The crab Rangoon and the egg rolls were rancid, tasted like they were ready to go bad. The rest of the food was so bland and bad, that we actually threw it away. What a waste of $50. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

The worst kind of "Chinese" food you can get. Stay away! My "Phad Thai" was nothing but noodles, tofu, sauce, a few limp sprouts, some chopped peanuts and a piece of lime. No cilantro, green onions. I asked for veggies and they offered steamed broccoli and snow peas. Very bland sauce, but still the kind you keep eating because of the sweet and salt, then you get a headache and wished you'd have just sent it back. The wine was terrible, and cigarette smoke kept wafting heavily into the restaurant from the open door next to the bar. They have sushi on the menu but they said they weren't serving it today. Some friends and I went up to Loon for some boarding this winter and decided to hit up the town for some grub. We decided to check this place out cuz we looked inside and saw some cuties in there. haha. They sat us near the alcohol bar and we were pleased to see that they also had a sushi bar. A few flat screen tv's also lit up the place and provided some nice News/Sportscenter background noise. We ordered the regular fast food Chinese dishes (beef teriyaki, chicken wings, chicken fingers) and also some Beef Chow Foon, Lo Mein and Friend Rice. We also ordered some sushi (crunchy spicy salmon, crunchy spicy tuna, the eel roll, rainbow maki, and a few others.) Being from Boston, I've had my share of Chinese food and Sushi. The wings and fingers weren't oily like other restaraunts and the Chow Foon, Lo Mein and Friend Rice were quality dishes. They reminded me of this place in Hong Kong that I used to go to all the time. The Sushi was also surprisingly good. In fact, it was great. The Sushi dishes were definitely comparable, if not better, to some of the well known establishments in Boston. After dinner we decided to shoot the shit and order some drinks. The bartender was about our age and was real chill ( I think his name was Vito). We asked about the sushi and he told us he works the sushi bar also and that the head Sushi chef was from Fugakyu!, which is one of Boston's well known establishments! No wonder their Sushi was so incredibly delicious. All in all a great experience. A great place to go chill after a hard days work on the mountain. Some VERY VERY cute waitresses for the fellas and I some of my female friends were fond of Vito the bartender/sushi bar apprentice. I"d def head back for round 2 next season. read more

Stopped in for dinner after a friend and I went hiking on the Franconia Ridge Loop trail and knew we couldn't get through the 2 1/2 hour drive back to Boston without something to fill us up. We decided we needed some filling Chinese food, so Yelp pointed us to Imperial Palace. We got to the restaurant and were quickly seated and checked out the menus. Service, generally, was a bit slow...I think there was a single waitress working that night (we went at 8pm on a Saturday night), and while there weren't *that* many people for most of the time we were there, I expect the kitchen wasn't exactly pushing it either. We ordered lo mein, eggrolls, sesame beef, and another item that I'm forgetting. It would have been enough without the last item, but whatever... we took leftovers to go anyway. The food was average... and while it hit the spot after hiking 8.9+ miles around the loop, it wasn't anything memorable. It took us a while to get the bill, and as soon as the waitress was over at the table with it? My friend handed her a card to pay because we just wanted to get our things together and head out for the drive back to Boston as quickly as possible. We came to this restaurant as other restaurants were not available during holiday season at dinner time, but so glad that we made the choice to come here! The staff were very friendly and professional, and the food came fast right after we ordered and the food were so delicious! We ordered quite a lot of food, a pupu platter, sushi, beef broccoli and mooshu shrimp and everything was wonderful, just hope that we have more room to fit more food. We sit at the table next to the bar section and we can tell it's quite a popular place for people hanging out and they seem to enjoy it! Stopped in during the summer for lunch; only one other table was occupied. They have a Japanese and Chinese menu, and a lunch special until 3:00pm. She immediately brought us water and a tasty hot tea. We started with the wonton soup, which was very tasty, served hot, and a fair size full of wontons. The lunch portions were HUGE. My wife loved her chicken, with nuts and peppers, and my beef and broccoli was solid. The shrimp and veggie tempura appetizer was huge also, with perfectly fried items, if a tad too much coating. Still, for the middle of NH, this was well worth stopping. 3.25 stars. FYI, the owner/waitress does not speak English very well, and brought me a dish I asked about but didn't order - be careful! I did not even got to eat because the glasses that where serve for our waters where completely cover white mold 2 of our four drinks. I told them if they had trouble getting here to call me and they didn't and the driver said "do better next time" so I didn't give him a tip. I've been eating at Imperial Palace since I was a kid, so the food tastes like home. This, then, is not a review of the food, but rather of the service. The chicken lomein and roasted duck are delicious, and if you don't mind sub-par hospitality, Imperial Palace is the place for you! I ordered delivery on 12/24. The woman on the other end of the phone was harried and half listening as I told her my order and location. I paid with credit card and read her the number over the phone. She asked for my phone number if she needed to call me back, then told me it would be about 40 minutes. Not bad. Two hours passed. I called, and she said that my credit card number hadn't worked. So she just... left it. Annoyed, I asked why she didn't call me. There was no good answer. My food arrived about an hour after that, and, while delicious, the service left an exceptionally sour taste in my mouth. read more

Took the risk after reading some of the negative reviews, and we had a wonderful dinner! The service was terrific - attentive, fast, and helpful. The food was great, especially the scallion pancakes, and the portions were quite generous. Not quite as large a menu as might be expected, but covers all the basics well. Includes meatless options that the vegetarian in our group enjoyed. We didn't go to the bar, but it seemed fun and active.
