I became a die-hard fan of In Bloom last spring when Z Florist rudely refused to help with a corsage and boutonniere for my son's prom (over a week out, they weren't taking any more orders which was completely fine...it was the attitude which was the problem). ANYWAY, I called In Bloom and the lady I spoke to was super helpful from the get-go. I'm a BoyMom so what color flowers go with which dress is so not my wheelhouse, but she gave me incredible suggestions and hooked me right up with 3 boutonnieres and 3 corsages in a 10 minute phone call. Fast forward to my 42nd birthday a few weeks ago, when my husband ordered flowers from In Bloom and they were the most gorgeous I've ever seen to the point where I am now getting a TATTOO of them next month. Yes. You read that right. And finally, a third positive experience over a 6-month period so this is consistency, folks: In Bloom once again had fantastic ideas for my middle son's Homecoming boutonniere and date's corsage...they were GORGEOUS, using thistles which was so unique and creative, and the corsage had a beautiful beaded bracelet that his girlfriend swore she was going to keep and wear again. I was given a day's notice of my Grandmother's funeral so I was scrambling to find someone who could make my deadline without using a template design. Went in for flowers... 5 employees there, 3 hanging out at a table doing nothing, another 2 in back talking. I asked girl for 2 corsages she walked me to cooler and had one, i said ok i will take it can you make me another single flower.. I will come back and pick it up. Meantime i asked the price of the single flower corsage ( nothing special ) she has no idea and goes to back to ask the other two in back how much. Comes back and tells me 14.00... I gulped but agreed she then informed me that they are not making anymore corsages( mind you its only 2pm ) ( store full of employees doing nothing ) i said look i just need a single flower with anything and i can come pick it up later. Once again she has to go back and ask manager ( geez would the mgr. come out already) and says no we wont do it, we are done for the day. I ask to speak to mgr. she comes out acting perturbed I wanted to speak to her and sternly says "no we cant make it" and walks back to the back? For the price of the corsages, alot more customer service is in order and why be open on sat if you cant make anything let alone have 5 employees doing nothing. Im shocked at the negative reviews. I guess everyone's experience is different. The lady that helped me was pretty nice and wiped up a bouquet to my price range so fast and soooo beautiful. The recipent loved it and thats what matters. I must say yes its a bit pricey but i went to a regular grocery store first and the flowers were old and not cared for. The price was just a a bit lower for the same size. I would say give them another chance if you have had a bad experience. Hopefully everything gets better. read more

I am all for a business making a profit but I am beyond upset for the cheap embarrassing bouquet that she received. I am posting a photo of what I paid for and what she got. It's pretty self evident in my opinion. I live in Chicago and am not familiar with the florists in her area. I decided to trust these Yelp reviews. I am not happy at all and dissapointed. I am always fair and accurate about these because I know there are many individuals such as myself. $70 is a decent amount of money and 4 flowers are not sufficient to justify that price. I'm shocked to see the negative reviews...perhaps Lee was at another store nearby? (Make sure you go to In Bloom next to the dollar theater.) I've used In Bloom several times, and find them always VERY helpful. (There's also usually only 3 people in the store, so I think Lee was somewhere else.) In fact, last time I was in, I wanted something a little different at the end of the day and the lady doing arrangements stopped what she was doing to come offer me some ideas and said she could do it next! The might cost a little more, but they use nicer flowers. Definitely not cheap flowers, and definitely worth it! I'll keep going back. read more
