We were waiting in the middle of a long line and a lady had cut us in front of us, when confronted she waved me off and stayed in line and when I told the employee he apologized and told me they'd usually tell them to return to the back of the line but that it was too late cause we were too far in, the reality was she had plenty of space to leave through the alley way next door and I waved him over before he took her order to explain the situation that it wasn't fair to everyone who had been waiting in line. You honestly can never go wrong with In-n-out. This location has been in Arcadia since before I was born and the lines have always been crazy! They have 2 lines for drive thru and I would say both are about equally long. Parking and ordering at the kiosk is no faster than just waiting in your car (I've tested this). My favorite order is a double double animal style, with whole grilled onion, extra tomato and no lettuce. Sometimes I switch it up and do extra fried onions and extra toasted buns! Knocked off a star because there's been a ton of flies here lately + the wait can seriously just get too long. Also, every time I get my food, my burger is always strangely cold? I had placed an order for 4 double doubles in the drive thru, when I was the next car to the window, I realized I didn't have my wallet and left it at home, and I also didn't have Apple pay or Google pay set up on my phone. Avoid this place! Rude server at the window. We asked for black peppers, not only did she ignored us for more than three times, she handed us a bunch of salt packets. We corrected her and she went and grabbed peppers without any apology and a poker face. There is ZERO service. Worse than ordering with a robot if you know what I mean. The worst part is yet to come- when arrived home we found out they got all of our burgers wrong. Ordered cheeseburger no onion, cheese burger with onions and a double double cheeseburger. What we got is a plain bread with a patty, a cheese burger with onions, a cheese burger with onion. There is NO double- double! Honestly the thing looked pathetic... we decided to drive back to the restaurant and demanded refund. What a waste of time and energy. It's about 25 miles back and forth, took us about 40 minutes. We always stop by here . 2 lanes one is lying on Santa Anita blvd the other lane from Colorado. Plan accordingly depending from which corner you are coming . Really unique location, haven't been to this style before, but you know what? I this age of pandemic, this works. There is no dine in area. Instead, workers are crammed inside but they're probably ok with it. You just walk up to the window counter and order. Or be like everyone else and drive through, which was really long on this day. But as I sat in my truck, line moved pretty fast. I can't imagine how traffic would be if it really backed up onto the surface streets. Burgers and fries are great here too. Same quality you expect. Giving it to you straight: I love In N Out, but this location is tougher than most. As one of the older In N Out stores, the parking lot, the two drive thru queues, and the lack of any indoor seating for "dine in" folks is substandard to newer stores with big flashy dining rooms and plenty of square footage. This corner property is very limited in that regard, and that's the way it goes. As for the drive thru experience, with the exception of 10 AM to 10:15 AM, this place always has two car lines that extend out into the streets. Yeah, that happens at a lot of In N Outs, but this one is particularly bad-- the entry from Santa Anita requires hugging the curb on a very busy street near an intersection, with enough "do not block the driveways of lesser eateries" signs that are often ignored .... or some discourteous person just cuts in front of you while you're trying not to block through traffic. Worse, the Colorado/parking lot queue often extends out into the street, blocking the exit from the drive thru window. Newsflash for you people fervently holding your spot in front of the exit lane: you can't move up until we get out. Since you'd have better luck finding a three legged ballerina than a parking spot in the tiny lot, the other issue is that there aren't really "alternative parking spots" here either. The nearby apartments on Colorado mean there are never open parking spaces there, Santa Anita is a no stopping/parking street, and the REI parking lot is the closest retail store with a parking lot... so you're walking a block or so to park "nearby." Or waiting in the impossibly long line. All that said, the food is the reason we endure all that nonsense, and it is usual In N Out high quality and low price. If you time it right by utter chance, you can sometimes find the line ebbing and slide in... then notice the ten cars behind you and be thankful you weren't a minute behind schedule. read more

Been going to this in n out for ages now. This is the first time I've encountered something like this. Firstly, I ordered a fry no salt to eat in the car. They handed it in a bag which I found weird, not because they didn't grant my request, but usually when they do this they're trying to hide something. My fries were raw. Inedible raw. Not even light. The potato still has a polish-y look. Off days are inevitable but what brought this to a new low is how disrespectful the person in the drive thru was. Tony made fun of my appearance and even brought a friend to make the joke. I don't think he knew I would hear but I did. Unfortunately this is the closest InNout to me. This InNout is usually disorganized and makes the food very inconsistent. Sometimes bread is overcooked, sometimes fries are undercooked. The soda is usually flat with no ice. On top of that, they have gotten my order wrong at least 50% of the time. I think they have too many employees working inside that small space they don't know how to delineate tasks. Also, they love giving my food to eat in the car instead of bags. I never ask to eat in car. Sometimes we would rather drive to the next closest InNout just to get better food. For a better InNOut experience I would avoid this one. I really don't see what people see in this place - I stopped at 8 pm and they were horribly busy - I waited in line for close to 20 minutes and when I got my food - the fries were dry, hard and cold as a rock with NO salt. Let me split this review up to two main things. 1) The food: superb. You know what you're getting with a solid burger and fries. I would say this location tend to over salt their burgers and fries 2) The experience: the way that the lines are set up in this location tends to create traffic jams. My husband and I are only about 1 mile away from this In-N-Out, and boy do we take advantage of that! Out of many In-N-Out Burgers out there, this one is my favorite! Pros: - They get your order correctly majority of the time - Their lines maybe long at times, but they are fairly quick with fulfilling your order - You have the option of choosing from two lines, one entrance from North Santa Anita Avenue and one entrance from Colorado Blvd. (most of the time the entrance from North Santa Anita tends to have less cars, but I would suggest to look before you choose) - You can ask for packets of their famous spread to put more in your burger or as a dipping sauce for your fries - They are located about a block down from the freeway (this is perfect for those people looking for a quick bit to eat!) Cons: - No indoor seating, so when it is raining, it is best to take it to-go - It is sometimes difficult to get out of your parking spot if you choose to dine-in because the drive through line favors one side of the parking lot than the other (one side completely blocks the parked cars I would definitely say that the pros outweigh the cons on any given day!
