Oh dear, part of me wants to believe that In-N-Out was the victim of complete over-hyping on the part of my vehemently devoted West-coast friends. I can understand that when you grow up with something such as a burger chain, each bite as an adult carries not only inherent deliciousness of the ingredients, but they are actually flavored by nostalgia and familiarity. I have similar warm-and-fuzzies about Wendy's frosty dairies and junior bacon cheeseburgers. Maybe it was this location but it was sorely disappointing. The absolute worst fries I can remember consuming. They were weirdly chalky and bland - sure they have you add your own salt. But there was no indication that these fries were, in fact, fried. My friend and I both asked for extra crispy so perhaps somehow this caused them to pursue the opposite? Either way, barely edible fries. The burger itself was fine, but certainly nothing to get excited about. I got mine with whole grilled onions, not animal style (at the recommendation of a die-hard LA friend). Based on this one experience, I would choose In-N-Out over McDonald's, but not over Wendy's and most certainly not over Shake Shack. The best part about the meal was the price tag. read more

My favorite in and out that I've ever had. This location is impeccable as far as cleanliness and service. The last time I was here I told my family that the service we has here was better than some of the sit down restaurants in the area. We had 3 employees come over and offer condiments and to ask if we needed anything. Food was the typical amazing in and out quality. Everything about my visit was fabulous. The wind blew me in and I was immediately greeted by employees as if my business mattered to them personally. I always special order and they handled the order as if it were already on their menu - and it's not. I just got a plain hamburger, with no sauce, and with mustard and ketchup. They asked if I would be eating it in my car, which of course I was, and gave me the appropriate items to help me stay tidy. We had great customer service at this location today! My mom spilled a soda...in the chaos she flipped my freshly delivered burger into the air and it cartwheeled burger side down across my chair. An employee named Charlie came to the rescue after seeing the tragedy and offered me a fresh burger! I felt bad since it was our own mistake, but Charlie insisted it would be quick!
