I really like that this location is inside the morongo casino because I can come get a burger and fries and then go gamble at the slot machines. To start if you come make sure you get the burger the smash style because its crispier and taste way better. The fries are good they are nice and soft and go well with some ranch or ketchup. The one thing I didnt like was the mac and cheese with bacon but I dont know if it was because they messed up my order and gave me mac and cheese without the bacon. If you come on the weekends make sure to come with time because the place does have a small section with tables and they get full fast especially because on the weekends the stage where they play live music is right by the restaurant. The Larsen family grinds a blend of meat fresh every morning forms balls that get smashed and cooked in a gas fired grille. This is a 10 on a scale of 10. Came here for dinner on a Friday evening of 4th of July weekend with a friend after we finished our shopping at Desert Hills right next door for the 4th of July sales. I have been to Wahlburgers before in Massachusetts, but this was a few years ago. I was talking about burger spots with my friend and suggested this place, since they're not common in California and they're really good. Ambiance: the Wahlburgers is located in Morongo right next to a stage where there were a bunch of fat old guys singing very annoying and the music was blasting way too loudly for my friend and I to be able to comfortably sit down and hear each other speak. We decided to bring our tray over to the food court where it was at least a little less loud. It was packed though and difficult to find a table and tables were dirty too and I had to clean it myself before we could sit down and eat, when we could finally snag a table. Food: OurBurger, Crispy Fish Sandwich, and Tater Tots were all delicious. Its a little on the pricier side, but note that if you sign up for a Morongo Player Card, you can get a discount (even if you don't gamble). I signed up last time I was here with a friend and got 10% off this meal today. Overall, yea I'd recommend them if you want to try Wahlburgers around SoCal (since this is the only SoCal location to my knowledge). Really amazing burgers, I had the BBQ Bacon with a side of ranch and it was perfect!! It was a little tricky to find the restaurant in the casino, but the dining area was clean and fun with the surrounding music and games. Super friendly staff, always welcoming and on point. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just the food. Visiting and stopped by Wahlburgers at Morongo -- decided to put my own spin on The Our Burger by swapping in caramelized onions and adding bacon. Let me tell you... 8/10 combo! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and stacked just right. Those onions hit that sweet spot, and the bacon added the perfect crunch. I just wish it had a little more of their special dressing so it was as "saucy" as the photo shows. It's right next to the sports bar -- you order, and they bring it out to you. The vibe here is fun and chill -- perfect for grabbing a bite during a gamet, after the pool, or post-casino fun. Service was friendly, and everything was cooked fresh to order. The toppings added balance and depth. A thick slice of onion provided a satisfying crunch, but without the overpowering bite some raw onions have. Simply skip it. I ordered a Super Melt, Sweet Potato Tots, and a Chocolate shake. Not cheap. I was expecting better quality than what I got. The shake tasted like vanilla with a slight hint of chocolate at the most. The tots were soggy and the bottom of the container was covered in grease. The burger was the worst I've had in a while. I could taste the pickles, bacon, cheese, and sweet caramelized onions. However, I could not taste the meat. The patties were drowned in salt, as if to hide something. Every bite of the melt was pure salt. If this Wahlburgers was not next to a bar playing live music, I would have passed completely. If there are any redeeming factors, the servers were super nice, and working next to extremely loud music daily definitely isn't good for them. We have come here several times over the years and absolutely loved it! This visit was a complete shock and will not be returning. The burger was as gamey as you can get. It had clearly been frozen. Their meat quality used to be incredible, this was worse then hospital or cafeteria food. I took one bite and honestly gagged. My Husband tried his as well and immediately threw it away. If you're ever at Morongo, definitely stop and try this place. I had the bbq cheeseburger. The flavor was on point. For once a bbq burger that wasn't overpowering! My husband had the regular cheeseburger, he asked for medium rare it was rare. But he said it was really good. The Wahlbergs have an IPA 7.2 beer on tap, talk about delicious!
