Was returning home from a girl's night out and decided to stop at In N Out Burger for a late dinner. Though this one is closest to me, this was my first time here and I actually visit the one on Blue Diamond more than this one. Originally I wanted to go inside but seeing that the drive thru line was short, I chose to go through the drive thru anyway. I think I got there at the right time though, because once I got in line, more people started showing up behind me. There was one person outside taking everyone's orders, which made the line move a little quicker. I was there at around 9:00ish, so it does start getting busy this late at night. I ordered their double double burger with fries and a chocolate milkshake. Everybody that helped me (Frankie who took my payment and Lexi who brought me my food; however I didn't catch the name of the guy who took my order) was very cheerful and made me feel welcome here. I guess I wanted to eat in the car (which I don't remember saying yes to) because I was given a placemat before I was given my food, but I didn't mind because I don't live too far and I didn't have anything going on the next day. The double double is always my favorite burger from here and so is their fries. The chocolate milkshake, on the other hand, seems to always be too thick to drink out of with a straw. I have to let it sit for a while before I can drink it, otherwise I have to take the lid off and use a spoon to consume it. Everything here was yummy and fresh, just like all my past visits to In N Out. The reason for the four star is because this In N Out is not really in the best spot. When it gets really busy, the drive thru line can stretch all the way back to the Goodwill donation drive thru and onto Serene, making it difficult for other drivers to pass through the parking lot. read more

This in-n- out is like every other one in the country in the fact the drive thru always has 12- 20 cars in line. I use to just drive on by thinking to myself no place can be worth that sort of wait. Boy was I wrong. I finally stopped in but I parkered and went it. There was decent parking available right by the doors. So I go walking in still really curious to see what the hype was about. I get inside and the place is totally spotless. There is more than ample staff. I walk up to place my order and I'm greeted very politely and it felt genuine. Another customer had told me when I was trying to decide that to get about this about this secret menu online. So I felt a bit mischievous when ordering. I ordered a 3x3 regular. That's 3 patties 3 pieces of cheese lettuce and tomato. I also got a large chocolate shake and a regular fry. I ordered another 3x3 animal style, animal style means ~extra~ beef patty is cooked in mustard and comes with extra spread and grilled onions. And I asked for extra toast which is the bun will be left on the grill for an extra minute or two, making it that much crispier and a whole lot yummier. Yes, it's free of charge. You can also get 4x4 which is 4 patties and 4 slices of cheese. Dont like the bun no problem get you burger tomato wrap /Protein Style you can get any burger you want wrapped in two slices of tomato instead of bread. Of course they also do a burger wrapped in lettuce vs bun. An order of fries well done, they are cooked longer than your average fry. I personally didn't like them, might as well got a bag of potatoe chips. You can also order fries light which I think is self explained. You can get animal style fries which is  fries with cheese, spread, and grilled onions. A classique. Roadkill fries are fries with melted cheese and burger patties. Grilled cheese is also a option The ultimate vegetarian item on the menu: Ask for two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, spread, and onions on a bun. Another vegetarian option the wishburger.This sandwich is stuffed only with vegetables--no meat or cheese. They also have a large choice of beverage. I was impressed how clean the fountain drink area was. In less than 5 minutes my food was ready again they staff were amazing. How they keep those white uniforms so clean is beyond me. The customer service is at a much higher level than any other ' fast food restaurant ' I've been to and well frankly a few sit down restaurant could learn a little something from the staff here. Did I mention the parking out is as spotless as the store? I did notice they had 4 drive thru windows inside all open and all handing out orders. The line for the drive thru was still at least 20 cars long. And not a single car was parked !! So yes all the hype about in n out is true. I would wait in the drive thru or go in again tomorrow. We both enjoyed cheeseburgers sans the special sauce which is 1000 island based. Nope! I substituted mine with ketchup and mustard and added raw onion. She added grilled onions to her cheeseburger. Mine was a #2 so it was accompanied by an order of fresh fries and a medium drink. She only ordered a burger and small drink. I opted for the lite pink lemonade sweetened with monk fruit and Stevia. It was delicious. The customer service is superb and the restaurant was very clean. The team was working very hard and there's so much going on: potatoes being cut for fries, a burger station, a fry station, produce being washed and cut, a drive-thru team, and cashiers at the front. In between tackling all of these duties, team members were replenishing napkins and servicing the beverage station. They were very busy as one would expect on a Saturday afternoon but were operating like a well oiled machine. The burgers were excellent and made to order on perfectly crisp grilled buns. It's a little too close to eastern boulevard so it can get a little loud if your sitting in the patio. The burger meat is always cooked medium and the majority of the flavour comes from the butter buns. The fries aren't as good as McDonald's, but the sauce they have makes up for it. I am not from a part of the country that has In-n-Out so this was my first experience and I am afraid that I was underwhelmed. The staff and the service are top notch. Extremely friendly, personable, and helpful. The staff gets five stars. On the recommendation of a family member who frequents In-n-Out I ordered Animal Fries and a double double with grilled onions. I also made a point to get fully involved with the animal fries as soon as I got them. Stirred them up and dug in. These things are really good and I probably could have filled up just on them. They were a 4-star experience; but the main event is supposed to be the burgers. The cheeseburger had nice fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The grilled onions were a nice touch. But the burgers really had very little flavor and they were cool, not hot; almost as if they'd been precooked and forgot to reheat them prior to putting them on my bun. Very bland. I only ate about half before I decided I'd had enough of the experience. Very sad burger. Perhaps I should have added some additional condiments but I wanted to judge the flavor the burger alone and it was, as I mentioned at the beginning, underwhelming. I'd come back for fries but the burger didn't do it for me this time. I'll give them another go before I leave town and may just try a different location to see. In-N-Out locations are pretty consistent but sometimes a location stands out because of how the staff treats people, speed of service, and overall quality of preparation. Being on a temporary special diet, I had an odd request for a burger configuration. The drive-thru line was a bit long, so I decided to go inside even though my experience with In-n-Out usually proves the drive-thru to be quicker than ordering to go. Additionally, this location has a sort of awkward parking lot but worth it to park and go in. I placed my odd request and the clerk was really very nice, repeating back exactly what I requested with no judgment. He was very friendly--I am remiss not to look at his name tag. I sat down and waited, expecting the usual lengthy wait but was surprised when my Double-Double was ready--it seemed like 5 minutes! The burger was prepared perfectly, as I ordered it.
