Literally landed in San Fran and headed to In-N-Out to get a Double Double for the féyonce. I got a cheeseburger protein style (wrapped in lettuce) and we shared fries. The service was five stars but I'm not as impressed with the food as my partner who lived in Cali for 10 years. The person taking our order at the drive through was very friendly and professional. Ok I must be the last person in the U.S. that haven't been to IN-N-OUT and people have been talking so much about this place I just had to try it so came in with high expectation and guess what - they exceeded them! Got the #1 combo (which is kind of a strategy you take when you're new to a place) i.e. a double-double with fries and a drink and the burger was awesome! Usually in n outs are top notch, but this one OMG the restroom was hideous. I mean ive been to trucks stops way cleaner than this one. In-N-Out is always a must no matter what. Anytime we're flying in/out of SFO, we hit this location. It's always slammed, but they're efficient and food always comes out hot and fresh. There's just something about In-N-Out that other burger chains just can't replicate, no matter how hard they try. For the price, you can't beat their quality and taste. Cali girl returns! I am visiting Cali for a few days and have a couple of friends with me. I've been asking them for certain things back home in Charlotte saying I need it to compare to ____ referring to a place in Cali. First meal off the plane I treated them to some secret menu love. Double double animal style with animal style fries. They looked at me confused wondering why it's so crowded. Told them let's go find out why. They looked confused seeing the simple menu and packed inside. I saw the skepticism on their faces. I placed the orders and once the food hit the skeptical looks eased a little. After the first bite of the burgers they smashed them. Dancing starting happing. Shoulder shimmy's started as each bite was better than the one before. The burger filled them up so the fries were left behind however a few bites were taken of the fires to taste them. One friend told her husband about the burger and he wasn't impressed saying it's only a few chives it's a regular burger. She looked at me because I told her those that don't have a Californian to tell them about the secret menu they won't be impressed with the burgers. I didn't grow up in California so the nostalgia and hype for eating In-N-Out is completely lost on me. In fact, I kind of hate In-N-Out but when it's 11-something at night on a Sunday and you've been driving around for 2+ hours waiting on flight info for you roommate's delayed flight, this is pretty much your only option unless you enjoy hanging out at seedy Millbrae gas stations and being sassed by pre-teen punks on skateboards. I caved and did the drive-through thing getting a 'grilled cheese', 'light fries with cheese', and topped it off with a strawberry shake for my roommate because I'm an incredible person with a heart of god damn gold. I was shocked at how busy the place was so late at night on a Sunday but I guess that's the usual for an In-N-Out a stone's throw from SFO. The employees working the drive-thru, specifically Derek, were admittedly wonderful and perkiest people alive at 11-something pm at the end of the weekend. Bless their hearts and souls. With that being said, my experience at this In-N-Out was probably the best I've ever had, due mostly to the employees but also because I discovered the 'light' fires option, which still means you'll get the signature cold In-N-Fries even though they just came out of the fryer and were toasted with cheese, but they're slightly less hard, hollow, and flavorless than their regular fries always are. The grilled cheese, which is just their burger without the meat patty, was better than I remember but I was also really hungry and extremely tired of driving around waiting for flight updates so that added to the enhanced enjoyment, but I still think cold toppings like tomato, lettuce, and onion have no place on a sandwich with melted cheese. I think if you're an In-N-Out believer this place is surprisingly above the other locations, but I still find their food to be largely flavorless and don't understand why it's so hard to serve fries hot that aren't crisped to death. read more

Initially, I didn't find the fries to be as revelatory as I had hoped, but once I added salt to them, they improved. Location here in Burlingame is clean and a better quality of service. You're going to have to wait but what In N Out isn't busy? The only thing about this location is parking. The lot is designed poorly where it's next to this car wash and gas station by the airport. So you have high traffic going In N Out -_- of it. The drive-through line is also built into the lot so sometimes you have some idiots blocking the roads where you can't even pass. I've been coming here more & more lately on my little late night hypes of hunger. Definitely a plus that they stay open late because I'd hate to only have McDonalds & Jack in the Box as an option at Midnight. Fries are a must, whether I'm ordering a meal or just a shake I have to have my friessss & I love that Thousand Island sauce, I know they must wonder if I use it all, BUT yes I doo-oooo. When me & my friend come we get about 5 of those sauces, definitely my favorite fries & the sauce only makes it better. If you actually manage to find your way to this In N Out thru the maze of NO U turns and random one way paths, you're in for a treat. Service is fast and consistant (as to be expected) and it's a good place to stuff yourself with food before catching a red eye flight where soggy sandwiches costs you $5.00 and your suitcase costs you $25. I saw a chubby lady here with her fly down ... I wanted to tell her, but I didn't want to embarrass her. I mean, what do you say? This In & Out is in the perfect location just outside the airport off of Millbrae Ave. The restaurant was busy but seemed fully staffed. The Burger, Fries and Dr. Pepper was good. However, when I arrived they were calling #93, I got # 2 presumably 9 customers away. I waited approx. 20 + min for my burger and fries. One of my favorite franchises. I love In N Out Burgers! Just like all the other locations, this one was also very crowded. I ordered the #2 Combo which was a cheeseburger with grilled onions, french fries, and a drink. The food came out perfect and it hit the spot. The wait for the food was around 15 minutes, and people kept coming in and out. Parking at this location was okay. We parked at the back in of the lot and just walked to avoid the hassles. This is the only fast food burger I will eat without question. Everything tastes fresh. It is true you can order your fries "well", and they will be crispy. I also like to order my fries "Animal Style" where they will throw on some died onions, a slice of cheese, and that secret sauce they slather on the burgers. It is frequently busy, but nearest to my office. Nothing can top a double double with animal style fries, and a chocolate shake. I will not have to eat for the rest of the day. I had one strange In-N-Out experience at this location. To begin, this was dinner #2 after eating Japanese food immediately prior. There's nothing wrong with 2 dinners. That just means.. 2 desserts? The service was really great, all in all. Food was solid, hardly any wait time and I was able to enjoy my freshly made burger, animal style. This place definitely operates at a 5 star level. However, part of the ambiance of a restaurant is attributed to the clientele that frequent it. As such, I'm going to deduct 1 star because the people just rubbed me the wrong way. 1. Some girl driving her civic tried to stand off on me because I made a left turn (which I was legally in the right). I'm not mad about her staring at me. I was more annoyed she jumped in her car like she was gonna come at me but then drove away! I wish she woulda done something cause I would have bent her over my knee and spanked her like her parents shoulda done. 2. Some girl sitting by my table mentioned to her friend that she's happy she got a lettuce wrap instead of a regular burger because she's getting fat. Health education? What is that? Lollllll 3. The chick's family left all their garbage on the table. One person actually asked another person (in the same party) if they should pick up after themselves and they were both like "naw, it's fine." and left! These are grown ass adults. I can see why their daughter's all stupid and what not. 4. Class must've gotten out or something but there were about 20 high school kids that rolled through around 10pm at night.
