    Fish and Chips

Lots of potential here, but also aspects that need work. The inside is obviously adorable and looks like a super fun place to grab drinks and food with friends. I haven't tried any of their cocktails yet, but some of them sounded amazing - especially the salty snack. Cocktail bars in Tucson, we need more savory and salty cocktails! I will definitely be trying it next time I go. As for the food, it was good. We started with the grilled artichoke with aioli, and that was awesome. The aioli was fresh and slightly garlicky. For my entree, I had the fish and chips, which seems to be one of the most popular items here. The fish was haddock, not your typical cod, and it was juicy with a good fry. No complaints, except that the batter could have been a little thinner. I was disappointed by the fries, though. They were a bit limp, not really crispy at all, and lacked flavor. For a dish called fish and chips, I'd hope the chips would be just as good as the fish, so that was definitely a letdown. The star of the show for me, however, was somehow the COLESLAW - it was amazing! Perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and a bit savory, not too heavy on the mayo, and they use cilantro in it (?!?!) -- which I've never seen done before, but it was actually so good. The herbaceous flavor of the cilantro complimented the coleslaw perfectly. Next time I make coleslaw myself, I'm taking a page out of their book and adding cilantro. I also had an oyster. It was very fresh, briny, and slightly sweet, all of the things you look for in a good oyster. I enjoyed the mignonette and the fresh horseradish that came with it as well. I only ordered one, but it was honestly pretty small. I know that smaller is usually better in the oyster world, but this was about the size of a half dollar. Hopefully they source some slightly bigger ones in the future. Overall, I'm appreciative of the concept and another spot in town trying to serve interesting cocktails, oysters, and entrees, but hoping quality will improve in a few areas. I will be back!

Had a great experience at Miramonte . The food was delicious. The service was excellent! Highly recommend the artichokes. We also got a couple orders of fish and chips, which were fantastic. I can't wait to come back here. I can't stop thinking about the artichokes.

What a solid experience from start to finish! It makes such a difference--especially when dealing with food allergies--when the waitress knows every ingredient in each dish without having to run back to the kitchen. That level of knowledge and confidence immediately put us at ease. Service was excellent all around. The cast iron cornbread is an absolute must. It's incredible--but be warned, you'll want at least four people to help tackle it! I may have gone a little overboard because by the time our fish and chips arrived, I was nearly full. The fish was light, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The fries came out slightly cold, but they happily replaced them with a fresh, hot batch right away. My wife really enjoyed the coleslaw (not usually my thing), and even though we were stuffed, we couldn't resist ordering the Baked Alaska. That toasted marshmallow exterior over ice cream and sponge cake was the perfect sweet finish--delicious and beautifully done. Huge portions, great prices, a beautiful atmosphere, comfortable seating, and drinks, appetizers, entrées, and dessert all for under $100. I honestly can't say enough good things about this dinner. Definitely a must-stop spot!

I made a reservation online ahead of time and it was a good thing I did. Seems to be a popular restaurant. Due to some health issues I asked if we could possibly be seated away from lots of people. When we got there, they sat us up front toward a corner with some little tables put together for us. The manager checked with us to be sure it was satisfactory. I was very impressed with how they handled my request. Our server was great, very attentive. The menu had several delicious sounding choices. We started with the kale salad--very yummy. They divided it into two separate portions for us. Our companions ordered onion rings--a big pile of huge rings is what they got! We ordered the chicken under a brick meals. It came with a large portion of chicken over mashed potatoes with a delightfully cooked side of kale. Our friends ordered the salmon meal and fish n chips. They both enjoyed theirs as well. My only small complaint is that it is noisy, but part of that is due to being such a popular dining spot. They do have patio seating, but it was too hot that evening for anyone to dine outdoors.

A generous cut of key lime pie. Recommended.

Pro tip: You can use your Amex Platinum or Gold Resy benefit, which will automatically apply even if you did not make a reservation on Resy. Food: 10/10. I had the pan seared salmon with capers on a bed of spinach and mashed potato. Perfectly done and a nice thick cut of salmon. For dessert, I had their signature Key Lime pie, which did not disappoint. Service: Excellent. Ambiance: classy. Last note: I am truly flummoxed by the sub-4 stars on Yelp. This restaurant has a much higher rating on the Resy app, and I would absolutely eat here again. The place was busy and had a lot of well dressed people in it. Very vibey spot.

A coworker recommended this place and I'm glad I listened. Nice clean modern designs in a prime location. Make reservations because this place fills up fast! I ordered the onion rings, cornbread and filet. Trust me don't leave here without trying the cornbread! Hatch green Chile with jack cheese and sweet corn topped with honey butter in a cast iron. My southern heart and taste buds were pleased. Filet was cooked to temp. Medium paired nicely with the blue cheese topping and whipped mashed potatoes. My service Karly was awesome. Truly attentive, personable and kind. Next time I'll ask to be sested by the fire place or on their beautiful patio

Miramonte is a stylish, dressed-up spot that serves casual food prepared really well. I stopped in with friends on a Saturday night to catch the end of the UofA game and grabbed a drink. They have a solid selection of drinks good beer, wine, and spirits. And if the onion rings were any indication of the rest of the menu, the food is going to be excellent. The breading was flavorful and fried perfectly. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had a good experience with the staff. Definitely worth checking out.

From when I arrived to when I left it was a wonderful experience. I don't remember our waiter's name, but he was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the menu, fun and made our experience even better. My friend had been there before, and loved the salmon so much, she ordered it again and wasn't disappointed. I tried the mustard-caper beurre-blanc sauce and it was delicious. I had the Chicken Under a Brick. The chicken was moist and so flavorful. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the kale was bright, perfectly cooked and so good. We finished off birthday our double birthday celebration with amazingly delicious key lime pie. I'll be back!

I wanted to love this place, particularly after quickly learning their patio is pup friendly. But similar to others, we had what I believe was a not so great server. Hostess, super friendly and welcoming - seated us right away. The restaurant has a very cool industrial and open vibe and I loved the aesthetic. We chose the patio as it was still pretty mild in terms of warmth and I could quickly tell that our server was not the best in comparison to the other two ladies with tables on the patio. Without getting into a complete diatribe (I could write paragraphs) about what happened - I will simply say our server did not have a good grasp in ensuring his assigned tables were taken care of. After being there 50 minutes, we made the decision to leave after only receiving our shrimp cocktail appetizer early on and never seeing our two sandwiches. We had no idea where our server was (he did not come outside often) so I just went up to the front to settle the bill and the manager was with the hostess up there. We will just say that within a minute of the manager being looped in - our food magically appeared (albeit not very warm) and our server clueless that he had literally told us 30 minutes prior that our "food will be right out". He ended up blaming it entirely on the kitchen to us (I do not believe him - I saw other servers quickly and efficiently bringing food to their tables) The manager was kind enough to comp both sandwiches. My husband said the French Dip was very good. My sandwich could have been good if not great except the bottom bun was soaked through, maybe from sitting somewhere too long. The menu has some really great items and while our experience was not so great from an overall perspective I would maybe come back given the pup friendly patio and as long as I did not have the same server we had this first visit.

Food was ok too expensive for the soggy fries and ribs were overpowered by the sauce and the very spiced coleslaw that burned your taste buds.

A beautiful modern space for lunch or dinner. I like the vibes and decor of the place but the echos of all the chatter were loud and distracting. I'm hoping the acoustics can somehow be fixed because I came before it was busy and I can't imagine how it would be during peak. I noticed that the hostess took calls outside. Our server was great and attentive. Food was enjoyable and the drink menu is extensive. I got the elderflower mocktail and it tasted fresh and lovely. For food, I started with the ahi tuna tartare and had the pan seared salmon. Everything was tasty. One minor thing was that the beurre blanc had the consistency and look of melted butter (looks like the butter separated) and it pooled around the potatoes. I ended up eating around it.

The Responsible Refresher mocktail tasted just like a shandy

Our party of seven had a blast last night at Miramonte, with tasty cocktails and mocktails, the phenomenal cornbread (talk about eating dessert first!), great food and an awesome nightlife vibe. The bar is absolutely beautiful. I do have to agree with other reviews about the noise factor, but it will not stop me from returning! Excellent service, and of course the best of company rounded out a great night...and weekend leftovers.

Love the vibe. Love the staff. Most of the food and menu is wonderful. Had the steak tartar. The tartar was excellent. The bread served with it was a total fail. Made no sense how it was cooked and sliced. Neither worked. But the tartare was great. The oysters and how they were served was very satisfying. The fish and chips were a winner. Nice cocktails and nice choices.

However, I have to give 3 stars for the overall execution of my meal. I had a half of a Hammer sandwich which was about $8. It's ham, soppressata, cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, dijon, vinegar, oil, garlic sauce. Unfortunately, I felt that my sandwich came with skimpy toppings. I got a pretty thinly stacked layer of ham and 2 little ovals of soppressata. The cheese was barely present. I also would have loved more tomato. I got a good amount of lettuce and banana peppers, though! Unfortunately, I just couldn't taste the meat and cheese toppings super well due to their being not much of them on the sandwich. The flavor of all the other ingredients were good, though. My friend got the Scramwich on Foccacia for $14. Looking at it, I could also tell it had not much proscuitto. Upon further inspection opening one of the halves of the sandwich... it was definitely only a few little smaller pieces of proscuitto. (The other toppings were on the other piece of bread, don't worry, those were fine) Sorry for the ugly photo - hard to really capture it without dissecting the thing. I also just noticed while looking at the photo again that one of the pieces of arugula also had black spots on it... Definitely not very fresh. My friend still enjoyed the foccacia, sundried tomatoes, and other toppings, but also felt there wasn't enough proscuitto. For the price, I would hope for a sufficient amount of meat. Heard a lot of hype about Quisty's and I see great potential in their quality and concepts! With better execution I'd definitely consider coming back. It's just hard to justify paying as much as we did for sandwiches that were skimpy on arguably one of the most important toppings!

This place is located in an artsy / entertainment district close to downtown. When we went, there was road construction nearby that made getting here more challenging. Once we located it, the next challenge was parking. We visited around noon on a Saturday. There are no large parking lots, so you have to find something on-street. We ventured a couple of blocks off the main street and found something. However, the signage wasn't really clear on whether you had to pay on weekends or not. We accessed the parking app via a QR code, but it told us that our space 'was not available', despite the fact that we were in the space. A guy leaving the space next to us confirmed that parking *was* free on weekends, so we trusted that and walked to the restaurant. In retrospect, I think the app meant that we did not need to pay, but 'not available' seems a bit vague for that... The restaurant is located on a strip of old storefronts that now house restaurants, record shops, etc. There was a lot of pedestrian traffic out front, including a homeless guy asking for change. The atmosphere was sort of a loud, slightly cramped dive bar. I don't mean that in a bad way, but that was the vibe. The music was loud - none of it was familiar but I didn't hate it. I guess my point is that if you are looking for a quiet spot for lunch, this is probably not it. We initially were offered a table on their covered patio. We left one person there while sorting out parking, but when we came back they had a booth inside so we grabbed that instead. The patio seemed shaded and semi-comfortable, other than a loud barking dog. We browsed the menus and ordered our food. We all got half-and-half combos (soup/salad or sandwich/soup). The only issue was that the soups came in a bread bowl. I was able to finish my soup, but felt bad about not eating more of the bowl. If I'd had the option, I would have gotten a plastic bowl. The salad was pretty big, despite being only half. I finished most of it. We ended up having sufficient leftovers from others such that we took them back to our hotel (a relatively short drive) and finished them the next evening. All the food was tasty. This wasn't what I was expecting, but I'd consider eating here again given the right circumstances / group.
