Went to in n out this past week during the afternoon and all I have to say is Daniel is the top worker in that store. He immediately greeted me at the window with a smile and made time to get to ask about my day even with how busy they were! My food wasn't exactly how i ordered it so i was a little flustered because of my health, but Daniel immediately got on it to make the moment right for me. He apologized several times and seemed genuine ( hardly experience that these days) This is my in n out I go to often and hardly experience service like that . ( totally understandable since they are so busy ) But this was definitely a nice change in atmosphere. Whoever in management is reading this needs to give that boy a raise!! The fries are a little hit or miss, but when they're fresh, they're perfect. The staff is always friendly, and I like how fast it is to grab a meal when I'm in a hurry. I have to say, In-N-Out has to be my favorite burger. I always order the Double -double animal style with chopped chilies and I am never disappointed. The fries are always fresh and the servers are great. I also love the fact that they have a secret menu to build the burger the way you want it. I love in-n-out, just not this location's. I brought a lot of my friends from out-of-state and this was the nearest one to show them. I really wish I did my research because there wasn't an inside. The line was long, and the walk-in line that was outside isn't any better. They do have two car lanes but the pace isn't any faster. We waited about 45 min for our food and our order was messed up for one order. Redeem qualities are that it's in-n-out so I love the food and will always come back, just not this location. The staff is very helpful and friendly still. And, that's pretty much it. Any other in-n-out gets my good rating, but this specific location isn't it. read more

Writing this review is redundant. In n out burger is hands down the best burger joint in Southern California and now many more locations. This Upland location is set up well . They have 2 car lines, walk up order and someone outside taking orders to speed things up. We went at 1 pm on a Sunday and only waited 20 min or so. I love their double cheeseburger and animal style fries. Very messy and very good. If you are visiting from out of state, this is a definite place to check off your food bucket list. read more

This location is always super busy. But they are incredibly slow. I've waited for over 30 mins in the drive thru and at the walk up window. It doesn't make a difference. The food is hit or miss sometimes it's great and the fries are perfect. Other times the lettuce is old, the burgers are overcooked and the fries are cold. If you are craving for a burger that's inexpensive, I would highly recommend coming to this place. I would get the hamburger or cheeseburger, regular fries or animal style fries, and vanilla shake. The whole establishment is laid out very awkwardly. Tiny cooking area which makes it very slow to prep the food. Long waiting time for the food to be ready. Recently been coming to this location late at night because the lines are smaller here versus the one off the 10 freeway and Vineyard or the other two on Foothill going east. Service is fast here and the lines move quick. If I'm taking the 210 freeway east and need to stop at In-N-Out, I'll go here. It's drive-thru only and there are a few parking spots in the lot, but plenty of street parking if you want to eat there. Came here for a quick dinner. Unlike some In-N-Out restaurants, this location has 2 drive-thru lines going at the same time so it makes the wait feel shorter. The food is always good for me. What made me give 5 stars was the customer service. The person who took my order was very polite and even repeated my order back to me 100% accurately. The cashier was very lively and nice. I realized that I went into the wrong line when the cashier was to my far right. This is where the passenger would be the one paying the cashier. Oops. This has got to be the worst In N Out in the area. They are always messing up your order one way or the other. Light fries are not light. They're regular. Regularly cooked fries are burnt. Ok let me start by saying it saddens me to write this review. I grew up as a SoCal girl it was a special treat to visit In-N-Out at its original location in Baldwin Park. At the time there were only a handful of them around Southern California. I know many of you out are either all in or totally out on the greatness of their burgers. So it's all good. Honestly I've always enjoyed them but it wasn't until I moved away that I loved a little more. It wasn't because it was an over the top burger it was because it was home. It's a comfort taste. I have tried In-N-Out at various location and it's usually pretty good. I have tried them in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Texas and it's just made best in California. So it breaks my heart to give such a low rating. The service and staff were fantastic. Maybe a little slower than other locations but not bad. The location was clean and well maintained keeping to the company standards. My ice tea was great! My fries were piping hot and crispy. In fact they actually seemed under cooked and like they sat awhile. Which could explain my burger. It was an animal style cheeseburger. No grilled onions, one pickle, and the cheese had actually gotten hard. This doesn't mean I will not have them again but a bit disappointed. I hope it was just a bad day and not the norm read more

The line was really long which is normal for any in-n-out, but service was kinda fast and staff was really friendly. The place is really small and has the option to eat outside if you like too. I am not a fan of fast food or chains but I make the exception for In & Out. Especially in Upland when In & Out can easily be Top 5 restaurants!! I wish this was a joke, but our options are scarce out here. For good value and fresh superior quality ingredients, this In & Out constantly has a long wait despite having 2 drive thru lanes and a window to order. They even have their workers coming out to take the orders from the back of the line but the demand is incredible and the kitchen can never seem to keep up. The parking lot is small and the seating area is outdoors. Thankfully we are blessed with lovely southern California weather. Nevertheless I feel like it has always been quicker to go through the drive thru even if you decide to park and sit in their patio afterwards. When I was young, like a decide ago, I could handle that combo #3 double double animal style with animal style fried and substitute the drink with a neapolitan shake. These days I get the combo #2 with grilled onions on my cheeseburger and regular fries. I never finish the fries unless I have help. The animal style upgrade is saved for special occasions where I feel like I earned those extra calories with a pre work out. *sigh* I am getting old... Anyways, I love In & Out. The quality is always consistent and you can literally see how fresh it is down to the freshly peeled potatoes waiting to be chopped into those crispy fresh fries. I think the slight wait is worth the quality. Even my parents, who dread waiting, feel like In & Out is worth the hassle. I've asked for no salt before and still got salt. Everybody dont want HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE and they have the nerves to give you a pack of salt with your meal. So where do I begin? I have been a regular customer of this resturant for 4 years. After tonight's experience, I will not return. As I was driving thru the order taker walked up to the car in front of me and had his mask less face literally in their car window. Anticipating this was about to happen to me. I switched from my summer mask to my work place n-95 mask. Sure enough this kid was literally 12 inches from my face and I asked him to back up. This store has 10-12 kids working in very, very close proximity. The only young man wearing a mask was the cashier. The cooks were all maskless. When I inquired as to why no one had on a mask he said well I'm wearing one but the store no longer requires masks. I paid for my food parked my car and tossed the burger in the trash. To me it felt like the management and the workers don't care about each other's health or the health of their customers. Now I'm sure that there will be those that call me a Karen. I was not rude to anyone. I paid for my food. But I made the choice for my health to not eat the burger or fries. As I am writing this. I have my best friend in all the world sitting in the intensive care unit at the local hospital with COVID-19 or Delta or whatever you wanna call it. She was one of the first people to be vaccinated back in April. Covid is still around and it feels a bit like Russian roulette to not have a mask on. Esp. when you're working in a restaurant where are your coworkers are literally 2 to 3 feet away from you. And because of this lack of respect for your customers in and out. You have lost this one I will not be back. I typically went through your drive-through at least twice a month. I actually felt that your burgers are much better than any of the other in and out in the community. And I often look forward to getting my occasional burger with grilled onions and cheese at the spot. So sad to me that I am forced to make this choice to protect my health. Worst In n Out I've ever been to. I've been to many locations around Socal and never waited this long. It took one hour to get a burger and fries. Then I asked for a cup of water and was denied because they ran out of water cups. I asked for a soda cup instead and was told they'd have to charge me for it. So pissed off at these employees. No care for food allergy!! I asked for no SALT on the fries and they put SALT on the fries, dip the fries back in the oil, drain them again with more fucking SALT!!!! I asked for no SALT on burger and the burger taste SALTY as hell! I watched them put the burger on the grill and didn't clean it off, which SALT was still on the grill. Crazy!
