ITR's newest space atop The Vast building downtown is like a brief escape to a big city, with the convenience of being up the street. The decor is tasteful and modern, with views of downtown Tulsa from nearly any seat. The outside patio is ample space and overlooks OneOK Field and the Blue Dome and Arts Districts. All this with ITR's menu favorites and some special cocktails specific to the new location, aptly named Vu. I recommend this as a great place for a date night, cocktails and a small plate before going out on the town, special events, or just a quick drink and a view. The appetizers were ok. They give a small portion for the price, it's not a shareable portion by any means. When the sushi came out the rolls (yes some with fish) were pungent smelling. I have never had this be the case as it's supposed to be fresh. I have never had a great experience here. Their other locations are far more superior than this one. Stopped in for some sushi on a Thursday evening, we were informed that without a reservation it would be quite a wait unless we would like to set at the bar which we didn't object to. The service was quick and we had water and menus almost immediately. After ordering our appetizers were delivered quickly and they were the star of the meal, fried dumplings and miso soup. I ordered nigiri and my date ordered a combo of a few spicy rolls. Needless to say the sushi was ok but it was warm. I'm not a fan of warm raw fish ever. Not sure if it had just sat on the counter to long before delivered or if the fish was warm in general when being prepared. Would rather have went to Yokozuna or sushi fork in my opinion. We got there at 6:30 without a reservation and the wait was 3-3 1/2 hours, but the bar (21+) is first come first serve, so we sat there and ate. The sushi was amazing!! We got the high roller combo and all three rolls I would order again. I loved the atmosphere and the view. Service was great and definitely will be back!!! read more

This review is based solely on customer service. We were visiting family in town and my sister-in-law made a reservation via text on Thursday for Saturday. Texted the number with the party details, again two days prior. She never received a response and we made the faulty assumption all was taken care of. Showed up Saturday at 5:30 for our reservation to be informed there was not one. My SIL confirmed the process and showed the text with the correct contact. A sorry was given for the fact that no one confirmed the reservation and they informed us no table would be available until 9:30. They then stood there and provided mo further apologies or appreciation that their error was keeping our family from enjoying our evening as planned. The hostesses need to have more training in customer service as we felt off put by their mistake and zero effort was made to correct the situation. read more

We went to the Vu twice in one weekend (2 different birthday dinners) and the experience was great both times! We had larger parties both nights and our food always came out at the same time and we didn't feel like we had to wait too long. The service is awful. As a service industry employee...this service is terrible. Super shit. The bussers were amazing for alerting the staff that we still had menus 30 minutes after being seated. FIX YOUR SERVICE. Watching 4 employees laugh at phone videos at the host stand is not tip worthy. When a party of 4 orders $80 of sake you should provide drinking vessels. Thanks again to the bussers for bringing sake glasses. Hopefully they got 80% tip share because a 45 minute meal took almost 3 hours. For uncooked food. read more

The atmosphere and miso soup was nice, but thats as far as my patience lasted. I put in the Miso order, it came out, I finished it and never saw the waiter again to put in a food order. Awful service. Better sushi can be found all over town. They definitely believe the 'hype'. They think theta rep above standard service. The were servers, literally, sitting with their feet up around the smaller sushi bar. Obnoxious bartenders. It's a train wreck. our waitress Kam was amazing and so knowledgeable about the menu! we ordered sake bombs and had no clue how to take them and she helped us get it set up! the food was amazing we ordered gyoza, the dunwell roll, and the keaton roll! we also ordered drinks and they were delicious! the blue berry lemon drop is my favorite! everything came out at the perfect time and we had an amazing experience! the environment at in the raw is amazing because you have a beautiful view of downtown and the music is so good! thank you in the raw & thank you Kam!! read more

alright, first and foremost, i've gotta say if you're wanting dinner with a view (hence the name) this is your spot. the waiter we had was extremely confused and neglectful. the drinks were... drinks. nothing special about them. food was good! it was standard sushi. there's a new sushi restaurant with the same quality of fish at 3530 S Sheridan Rd that just opened up. i got three times the amount of food for 1/6th of the price that this place charged. again, it's more of the experience of being able to see tulsa. would i recommend it overall? um, no. not unless i was trying to show my out of town friends tulsa, but there's other places downtown that can do that. read more

I'm giving one star because I liked my food but the entire experience was lackluster. Please understand that when your costumers choose your place of business over other businesses is because we're betting you will provide at least a decent experience. Sure, your location is optimal for a good impression. We were there Sunday evening for my friend's birthday. We reserved an outside/balcony seating which was confirmed availability, yet when we arrived, we were shown to an indoor seating- my friends did not want to fuss and were okay with that. Fine. Let's talk about service, when our server arrived 10mins after we were seated, she was nice but did not come back to check up on us after we've ordered. I had to ask three times for a drink refill, it's an iced-tea for my one of my friends, it's not complicated and the restaurant was only 1/3 filled. I wonder if our original server sensed our frustration and had sent other runners to us for our checks. I'd like to say she was busy but I could see her hanging out by the kitchen and seemed to be laughing/talking and unbothered. Please, train your servers and do better. read more

So the restaurant was only half full & it was a Wednesday evening. It took 20 mins to be acknowledged by our server who then took 10 mins to bring us our water & lemonade. Our appetizer took 35 mins to get to us aka, like an hour after we arrived. Because of the poor and slow service we received, we ended up taking our food to go (we got it about 20-25 mins after our appetizer). The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because of how good the food was. I got the spicy noodle bowl and my friend got the chicken fried rice. I was expecting the spicy noodle bowl to be ramen like but it was actually dry like yakisoba. Totally unexpected but was literally amaaazing. I think they put cinnamon or something in the gyoza/potsticker sauce.. I personally didn't like it. I'd probably go back but only to pick up my food to go. read more

Pitiful service. In The Raw in general is always good food. This location has the expected food quality & the view is great BUT the service is the worst of all three locations. I have been to all three, but I was a regular at the Broken Arrow location (1-2 times a week) when I lived in BA. The bartenders there would customize my Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini for me to make it less sweet (they would omit the simple syrup & instead use a little water & a Splenda packet), but when I asked for it to be less sweet at this location they told me "the way that is made, it is not possible"....I'm not sure if they assume customers are idiots, but yeah, I have a bar at my house & I make martinis & I've worked in the restaurant industry for years, at one point I owned a restaurant, so I know full well that was a LAZY employee excuse; most people who don't have the knowledge I do would even know that was a lame, lazy, cop-out of an excuse as well. The service at this location is consistently very slow (the only reason we went back is because we were guests of neighbors of ours); the service was very slow this night as well which we expected & we weren't in a rush, so we didn't mind UNTIL the hostess approached us & told us our 2 hour limit was almost up (which we didn't know anything about) & that they would need the table for another reservation (it was 8:36 when she told us that & she said they needed the table by 8:45, so she wanted us gone 9 minutes later)....we weren't done with our meals, no plates had been cleared & we didn't have a check....so how was this OUR PROBLEM??? After she left the table, it was another 15 min before the server came to clear plates & drop off the check then another 10 minutes for her to bring the check back to be signed.....it was actually comical, although still very rude!!! I will never give another dollar to this ITR location (I can get great sushi & service with maybe not as good a view at plenty other places.) read more

If you're looking for a nice spot with a view to have some drinks and apps, I totally recommend, but the sushi, time and time again, has been terrible. Wait staff has been good every time I've gone. I'd hardly call it a sushi restaurant since they don't have nigiri or sashimi. Rolls only, and they're not even good. The fish is mediocre quality and the preparation is pretty dismal, ie soggy tempura. If you're looking for a great atmosphere to start the night off or get together with friends, it's great, but as for actual dinner, I do not recommend. read more

I visited the restaurant on a Friday night with 6:30pm dinner reservations. I was seated first in my party and after twenty minutes and no one coming to my table I went back to the hostess and asked if they could assist in getting some service. Unfortunately this sub standard service was the trend all evening. The music is far too loud. When we did order, the waiter had to bend down on knees so we could speak right into his ear to place the order, having any conversation was impossible. Overall a disappointing experience. read more

First of all the ambiance is fun inside and outside. I have been here only twice but I am excited to visit all this summer. The calamari is thinly slice, perfectly crispy and seasoned so well. My friend got the yellowtail sashimi as an appetizer and it was so good & we continued to the use the sauce to dip the rest of our appetizers. The sushi is 10/10 (I do only get simple rolls like spicy tuna but I am sure their fancier rolls are good too). I tried one of their drinks containing gin and it was so cute, crispy & refreshing, made me excited to try more of their drinks in near future . read more

It's very rare that I find a place with both an excellent view and solid food. In the Raw Vu has a similar menu to the other In the Raw locations and is just as good. Can't wait to go back! read more
