Some of the best Peruvian food I've ever had, and I spent years living in South America. Visiting Staten Island doing consulting work, a group of nine of us decided to check this place out. They brought the food out family style, and we were all impressed. The seafood was as fresh as it gets, and tasted incredible. The chicken was undoubtedly organic, and cooked to perfection. We were very excited to try Inca, since we had never had Peruvian before. We started with the special appetizer that had ceviche, mashed potato with octopus and calamari. It was absolutely delicious and probably the best octopus we've ever had! My husband ordered the rotisserie chicken and I ordered a trout special. When the trout came out I was surprised to see it breaded (which was a problem for me since I am gluten free). Even though it was my mistake for not being clear about my dietary restrictions, the chef quickly replaced my fish with a chicken dish a no extra charge. We loved our meal and the service. Worst ordering experience ever, and the service even worse. Ordered through yelp, after hour and fourth five minutes I called them the guy picked up and said the driver is on the way will be there in less than 10 minutes, 15 minuted past I called them they started ignoring my phone calls. For the next 30 minutes I literally called them at least 30 times and they kept on ignoring. The delivery showed up 2 and half hours later at which point I refused the delivery. I will be filing a chargeback and a report them with the BBB. The management still has not reached out or made any attempts to make anything better while not refunding us. Our third time dining here with a large group of friends. Food is always on par; never had a dish that we didn't enjoy; crab cakes, ceviche, octopus, lamb shank, steak, etc. I think we pretty much order everything on the menu:) staff is super attentive and professional. We should have read the reviews before going. They definitely have some sort of scam working of overcharging and overpricing. We ordered 2 pieces of rotisserie chicken which each come with fries or rice (on menu listed as $13). My husband asked for rice and beans and a side of tostones. Obviously knew we'd pay for the tostones, no problem. Mine came regular. We ordered one appetizer which was very small ($8), 2 seltzers and an apple juice for my daughter. The bill comes...and it's almost $70. They charged us $15 for my husband's chicken plus $6 for rice, plus $5 for beans. How? Then they added a 20% (!!!!) gratuity which in my opinion is outrageous. What ever happened to customers being able to tip according to service? We shouldn't be told how to tip. Then it made sense they charged it because after that they get to charge a service fee on top for a debit card. So because they charge the tip in and service fee after, they make more money off the tip. We felt taken. Will not be going again. A basic dinner for 2 for $70, no thanks. read more

The first time here, everything was excellent. The second time was a bit disappointing. The sangria was watery and we waited well over an hour for the food. Our first time here. We were greeted warmly! The staff took the time to answers any questions we had. The mango sangria was delicious and strong. The Pisco sour was strong and yummy. We had ceviche that was fresh and delicious. We also had the rotisserie chicken. The chicken was tender and so flavorful. The garlic rice goes along with it perfectly! The food was amazing. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The ceviche was beyond words. The "Peruvian paella" so yummy with a great grill flavor on the seafood. Absolutely delicious! I have been here several times and have called in an order another few times and have never been disappointed. To the person that said "the owner prefers not to cater to Peruvians but to a more American crowd" I don't see this as true at all. I may not be Peruvian but Am hispanic and the owner always greets us when we come in. I mostly see a loyal hispanic/Latino crown here. Regardless, I always see the owner greet everyone the same and everyone with respect. I will always give my money to establishments like this. The food is constantly outstanding as well. These guys deserve all the praise they are getting! They also have me free cake because it was my birthday! read more

Excellent service, delicious food and sangria. We shared between two their Ceviche mixto with a side of tostones and seafood Chaufa with side of maduros. It was deliciously prepared. We tried this restaurant after reading all the positive reviews. We arrived at 2pm on a Saturday and was immediately greeted by the server and then the owner. We were immediately impressed. My boyfriend and I decided to go out for Monday night dinner for a change of pace. It turned out to be a great decision! The restaurant was empty when we first arrived, but it's to be expected of many restaurants on the island on a Monday night. The owner & server were very attentive and provided wonderful service. They even placed a candle on the table to give us a more romantic experience. Now, the food -- absolutely delicious! We started with some pisco sours. For appetizers, we had the Ceviche Martini & Papas ala Huancaina. The ceviche was tart, spicy, & exactly what you look for in a ceviche. The potatoes were a good balance to the spiciness of the ceviche. For entrees, my boyfriend had the lamb shank, white rice, & beans. The lamb was roasted perfectly and very tender. I had the fried, whole red snapper, white rice, & salad -- crispy exterior & flaky interior. Also, delicious. For dessert, we shared a bowl of half rice pudding half blue corn pudding topped with whipped cream. The dessert had a good level of sweetness. It wasn't overly sweet & the flavors complemented each other well. We will definitely be returning along with some of our family members. I was originally apprehensive about dining here because it's in the middle of "nowhere". I accidentally passed the restaurant twice. In fact, the only reason this place does not receive five stars from me is because of the location. Parking is limited, and if you blink, you will miss the restaurant. Everything else about this place was a pleasant surprise. I arrived before 7pm when the restaurant was empty. I had a great conversation with the owner. He was gregarious and welcoming as he talked about the origins of the restaurant and his experiences in Peru. The waitress was equally pleasant. By 7:30pm, the restaurant was alive with happy patrons. The ambiance was perfect for conversation and the food was amazing! I will be a return customer. read more

We also had the chicken special with green rice and red onion both dishes were great and had a completely different good flavor. Place is deceptively nice inside. Food was pretty good. Paella was phenomenal and is packed with flavor. The chef came out personally to speak with us about the dishes which is always a plus in my book. Makes the restaurant more personable and gives it a better feel. I had the mahi mahi which was a bit dry. My wife had the paella which I really wished I had ordered because it was amazing. We ordered appetizers chef special I believe it was. They were great as well. The waitresses left much to be desired. The tall one was the rudest and will eventually hurt this restaurant if she is not dealt with. The smaller waitress did not want to switch our dish to the correct order so I had to get the owner involved which he made the change immediately without hesitation. I spent over 200 bucks here, if they get the order wrong, they should change it immediately and not get our party upset. It was my mother's bday, and she wasn't happy with the way we were treated by the waitresses. Overall, the place is a good spot to eat, they just need to fix their issues quickly before people begin to shy away. read more

On Friday evening, met a friend here who knows Peruvian food and had recommended it. It's a small restaurant and had no other customers when we first arrived, at 7 p.m. Business picked up starting at about 8 p.m. The servers were attentive (for the most part), asked us many times if we enjoyed it, as did another man I assume is the owner. All of the food was tasty, and the portions were huge and reasonably priced. I had the red sangria, ceviche with fish and shrimp, an entree with marinated, grilled beef with rice and also potato fries (yes, it was a starch overload), and some great dessert, I didn't catch the name, but it was some kind of layered cake with a rum crust (they brought it out flambe) and ice cream and whipped cream on top. ... It's not subtle food by any means, but it was tasty, and I enjoyed the restaurant. I would go back and try another entree, like chicken or fish. read more

What a great find! We we looking for somewhere to have a dinner and preferably close to the train so we could leave the car home. I read the reviews on this place and already a fan of Peruvian food we decided to try it out. We were greeted like family and made to feel at home as soon as walked in. We ordered a delicious mango sangria and a beer and were told the specials of the day. We didn't even need to look at the menu after that. We ordered the mixed special that had ceviche, fried calamari and grilled octopus and also the crab cakes. So much food and all of it delicious. My husband not normally a ceviche or a crab cake fan even loved those. For our main we both had the lamb shank which had been coked for hours and was done to perfection. So tender. That came with rice and beans and the beans were just delicious! After a good rest and one more sangria we split the cheesecake which is made with their national fruit and that too was just so good! The staff were great and the owner chef Cesar came out and helped bring food out or came by to make sure everything was good and also took time to explain the dish or how he cooked it. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend the place but make a reservation as it does get busy. We will be back there is so much more I want to try! read more

I had no idea this place existed until I walked passed it a few weeks ago. Turns out it has been here for two years.Being that I like to try new local restaurants, especially ones that are not your typical Staten Island restaurant I decided to try this place ASAP. I was pleasantly surprised with this place and have been telling everyone I know that they must check it out! I came here on a Friday night ( 11/6/15). There was a decent enough crowd already at the other tables, the atmosphere was very nice, something I'd expect in the city, lighting was nice, decor was nice, traditional music...... To start with I had their special which was a trio of ceviche, a mashed cold potato (??) topped with grilled octopus, which was the BEST grilled octopus I have ever had and lastly fried calamari. For the entrees I had the whole fish special with was served in a tomato sauce and clams. My companion had the swordfish special which was served with a delicious rice. I had the peach sangria with my dinner which was very good. The staff was impeccable and I am assuming what was the owner/chef brought over a complimentary piece of cake at the end of dinner. I really wish I could have remember the names of the dishes we ate, everything was fantastic and I look forward to having dinner there again! It really is a hidden treasure!
