Inday is a fast casual dining option of Indian food. They have pre-made bowl options or they have an option to make your own bowl. If you aren't well versed in your Indian food vocabulary, it might be hard to decide what to choose like I did. But I feel like you really can't go wrong with anything. I opted to make my own bowl and chose a bunch of things together not knowing if the flavors fused well together, but it was delicious nonetheless! The bowl in general is super filling! I was glad that I opted for half & half option because I literally would have died trying to finish a bowl with all rice underneath with a load of toppings on top. Because I chose more veggie options, I was able to finish it all. I also appreciate the fact that they have water & cups readily available to use for free. Overall, I really did enjoy my dining experience here. The price of the food is also quite fair considering most food spots are way more pricey nearby, so I would definitely choose Inday again. read more

I ordered delivery for lunch. The Karma bowl was great. Perfect portion size. They have lots of options to customize the base including rice, mixed greens, and quinoa with lentils. You can also combine two bases. The paneer was firm. The daal and chickpea curry were flavorful. I got a side of the habanero hot sauce. It wasn't overly spicy, but added a satisfying kick. You order at a kiosk and grab any open seats - it was refreshing to see a fast casual place with such a huge, clean seating space. I'm skeptical of Indian fusion places (especially in NYC) but Inday is legit. The portions aren't super filling (I was particularly hungry) and I ended up getting a second full entree for myself. Our group of five stumbled upon this place after an active afternoon. Inday is a combination platter of restaurant and gourmet fast food. You walk in and place and pay for your order on a tablet up front. You take a numbered placard and the waiter delivers your order. They have plain and lemon infused water available at no cost. Stopped by during weekday for take out lunch. The restaurant was clean and pretty, as it always looks. I put in the order for Tamarind glazed Salmon bowl at the counter with a friendly employee. The order came out within 5 minutes or so. The Salmon bowl looked very appetizing with beautifully cooked filet topped with picked vegetables. There was plenty of rice at the bottom. Food - I ordered out the chicken tikka bowl. The flavor was on point but I did have some issues. The base I got was rice. There was waaaaay too much rice and there were some undercooked bites and some overcooked bites. Not sure how this happens unless they are two different batches of rice. I think what we're fried shallots on top made for great texture. The chicken was somewhat overcooked. I would try it again but maybe not get the rice base. read more

Was craving a burger and fries with some wine today and stumbled on this spot. Figured I would get my fix with some Indian flair. I had the sweet and spicy Cauliflower bites with the lamb burger and mandala fries and a glass of prosecco. The bites were more like Buffalo than sweet and spicy. But I did like the spicy sauce. Wasn't overwhelming. The fries were nicely seasoned and I loved the sauce it came with; sweet and tangy; maybe a type of chutney? The burger wasn't really doing it for me as it was more bread and cheese than meat. I have been to Inday when I have worked in the area but, I recently decide to stop by here for lunch as it's been a few years. I did an online order for a chicken tikka bowl. The restaurant was spacious and well lit. They have machines available to order your food to your liking and then a pick up window available. Since I did an online order I went straight to the pick up window. My food was there and waiting for me. I am not sure how long it was sitting but the sauce already thickened but the plate was hot. Personally I wished they coated the chicken with the sauce instead of just dropping it on top of the chicken. I felt that there wasn't much sauce and not enough to coat the rice. The chicken was a bit dry and so was the rice. They only included a bit of pickled onions. The sauce had flavorful but it was mild in terms of spice and heat. I feel like this is geared towards people who might be more spice averse. It's not bad for a fast casual Indian restaurant but it's not for those craving more spicy and flavorful Indian curries and food. read more

Over the years the quality of the flavors and the dishes has changed a lot, and the latest iteration is its best yet. Instead of a salad building station, the place is treated more as a takeout window, with all the dishes being prepared behind the scenes in the kitchen. Their tamarind glazed salmon bowl with spring vegetables, avocado, and mint is my favorite bowl-- the salmon is sizeable and cooked to tender perfection. My boyfriend and I come here pretty often and it's usually one of our favorite neighborhood spots. We have noticed them change the menu every so often but the last visit we had might be our last due to this change just falling flat. We usually order a chicken tikka masala and up to "family style size". This means they give you a bigger portion and the curry and rice are separate. They got rid of this option so we got 2 chicken tikka masala. Each plate came with an overwhelming amount of rice and a maybe 4 chunks of dry chicken. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the price. Again we're regulars here and we noticed the chicken wasn't as tender and the masala was not as flavor. We also ordered iced chais and they tasted very watered down. Not how it usually takes at all. Seems like the quality has gone down. This place also is now understaffed. There usually is 2 waiters even during low peaks but this time there was only 1 despite it being very busy. I felt bad for our server who was in charge of all tables (indoor + outdoor) and was also the barista which included making drinks for people who dropped in only for drinks. Very unfortunate we had our first bad interaction with this place but too many changes happened that made our experience inadequate. I would recommend to pass on this place. read more

Gotta say this place packs a punch in flavors for a salad! Used to work in an office space above here so it was an obvious choice for a lunch. There are a lot of options, so glad there are many flavor profiles and diverse ingredients instead of some average cobb or caesar salad. The only miss for me in my experience was that it was overdressed so put on the side for you light-dressing- salad eaters like myself out there. One major plus for me that gave it the 4th star on this review was that they actually had a decent spicy sauce!!
