Hell yeah I'm glad we have an Indian food mart in the culver palms area. It's in a very walkable area of the neighborhood with other businesses and restaurants around. It's small but has a great selection of produce, spices, sweets, snacks, and frozen foods. The prices are great and the owner was helpful.

I love Indian stores decide to walk in here because my daughter loves Hannah so I'm always trying to make henna tattoos on her hands so they didn't have only one Hannah they had a lot of different brands of henna I Love chai tea But I don't like the process of making net so they had little powder package makes my life easier just put in a cup and its ready to drink they have all kinds of different Brands definitely coming back friendly staff I felt very welcome.

I decided to try my hand at cooking some of my favorite Indian dishes at home to save some money, so I headed over to India Food Mart which I found on Yelp. At first, I wandered around a bit, not quite sure where to start, but then Arun came to the rescue. I showed him photos from Yelp of the dishes I love, and he walked me through the aisles, helping me find everything I needed. He even gave me tips on how to cook the dishes! I picked up some frozen garlic naan and all the ingredients I needed, and the prices were fantastic. Overall, it was a great experience, and thanks to Arun, I'm ready to cook up some delicious meals at home. Check out the photos I took his place really has everything you need! read more

### 2023 review 42/100 ### Long overdue review. Many moons ago, I was tossing the idea of getting an indian spice box aka Masala Dabba but really wanted to be able to touch and get a feel of it as the Amazon reviews are all over the place. This is one of the instances where the convenience of Amazon doesn't matter + the online prices are 2-4x pricier! I finally got around to call around. And I lucked out big time on my very 1st call. Arun the owner was super nice and after confirming I'm looking for the Masala Dabba, he told me he has a lot usually but only one left. I asked that he please keep it for me to pick up in 2 days, to which he kindly said yes. And since then I've been enjoying my masala dabba and happily cooking away! read more

Arun, the manager, is exceptional. He cares about his customers. He will walk back in the store when I ask him about food items or cookware. The store is neat, clean, and well-organized. Decided to learn how to cook some Indian dishes so headed here based on reviews. Definitely didn't disappoint! The person working there (owner?) was incredibly helpful and walked us through the store and helped us pick out all of the recipe ingredients on our list and even took the time to explain how to use some of them as well. It's a small shop, but we ended up finding everything we needed for three different dishes including produce, without needing to go to any other grocery store. All of the ingredients that we purchased were fairly priced, fresh, and most importantly good quality. Will definitely come back again. read more

The balloons outside were a sign there was something festive happening on Venice Blvd. I noticed "Indian Food Market," which isn't something we don't have yet in this area, but it's always good to check out new places. There's paid parking on Venice Blvd, but Indian Food Market has a parking lot with ample customer parking. Today was their opening day. I love Indian stores and food, so I'll grab every chance to take a look. Everything looked spotless, products were meticulously displayed and priced. Your every-day Indian groceries and fresh produce is for sale in this price. Pleasantly surprised they sell my favorite Bird's Custard powder for only $3.99 Speaking of prices: I noticed their prices are very reasonable. Staff wears their red Indian Food Market poloshirts, very friendly and helpful. Manager Alka is a friendly young woman. (I really hope I remembered her name correctly, if not: my apologies!) This new store is worth checking out! The only thing I miss is food... but who knows, this might follow. Other than that: I'll be back and buy my Indian mixes and spices here. There are a lot of Indian restaurants in the area, but not too many grocers. This one has all the essentials for Pakistani and the various styles of Indian cooking, and then some (as well as the usual selection of South Asian frozen foods) Very good prices-- especially on spices. I love this place. I go in to pick up spices, dal, and paneer whenever I visit the Hare Krishna ISKCON temple down the road. The woman who works the counter is always friendly and helpful and the store is always clean and tidy. I like the prices too. Whenever I ask for her opinion on spices or something she is always honest with me and does not just show me the most expensive brand they sell and often recommends a cheaper brand. I appreciate that as I am very cheap! read more

Had to get lunch items in a rush and forgot my card for payment. Alka was very helpful. I really appreciate their trust with customers. It was so hot and I was dreading having to go home and come back. Will definitely be picking up all my Indian favorites here again. Highly recommend this store for your International favorites. After this shop was opened 3 years back, I only go here for my groceries. Lovely people, the owner, his wife and the business partner all are very kind. I have never seen such a good shop owners in LA. The prices of the same brand products are much cheaper in India food mart than the other three indian groceries stores located two blocks away. This place is fantastic. Their stuff is incredibly cheap and they have a wide variety of foods - fresh veggies, frozen foods, ice cream, rice, spices, and a lot of other things. The owners are also incredibly friendly and nice. We asked if they had coconut milk one time, which they didn't. The next time we went in they had coconut milk! Absolutely love this place. read more

In the past few years Bahay Natin has had a big refresh under the ownership of Ate Ellen. Wow what a turn around the store made with its modern and clean look. I am so grateful that she took on this challenge to keep the only Filipino market in West LA alive. There's always plenty of inventory to have the taste of the Philippines at home. I always get my loose leaf tea here, and it's consistently fresh. They also carry a good selection of Indian chutneys and pantry staples. Luckily after a few hours it went away but I've been left with some nasty after effects. This was around the time the cyclospora outbreak was announced on the news. I asked the produce guy and another lady if any of the lettuce or fruit had been recalled and they had no idea what I was talking about. The guy did take a look off my phone regarding it but didn't seem to know anything. I felt like an HR rep and not a grocery shopper. So that was awkward. Ironically the bag I showed them was Taylor Farms which is now weirdly being traced to this parasite. My dad bought these 2 bags of lettuce from this brand at this store and after reading on social media that it was linked to this brand I told him to toss it out. So is what I got cyclospora from the food bar? probably not I hope! I definitely did not feel well after I ate here. I hadn't eaten anything that day either and felt totally fine. So it was definitely something to look into. I had fried rice, chow mein, and chicken. My dad had the same thing minus the chow mein. The rice and chow mein tasted stale. The chicken was fresh. I'm assuming it could've been the chow mein. I'd also recommend keeping employees up to date on the news and nation wide outbreaks. Also some of your cashiers and workers have really bad energy. I get it's a "miserable job" but it's not our problem as the customer to take it out on. I get bad anxiety as is in grocery stores but everytime I go to this store and go to the check out line area I feel judged or like I'm in trouble. Also be careful of the parking lot. A few months back some elderly lady left her shopping cart and it hit someone's car and left a dent. She saw it and drove off very fast.
