My first shop and I've been back so many times since

OBSESSED would be an understatement. My childhood came to life - transported in time and distance with the tastes of Asian snacks and goodies galore! Everything from my Want Want crackers, to my white rabbit milk candies, the kimchi and sour plums, the rice and bean noodles, the yogurt drinks, the seasoning packets, just everything delicious you could imagine. Thank you for giving me a taste of home! My driver even spoke Chinese to me.

    Soft opening now!

99 Ranch Market is our go-to for fresh fish, specifically Dover Sole/USA/Wild. Apparently my hubby and I are not the only customers to demand this fish as it's often sold out shortly after hitting the department. First task on my honey's honey do list is to source our finned fave on a weekly basis. After multiple disappointing trips, the fish monger suggested calling ahead, provided 99 Ranch Market's phone number. Today's quick call, even quicker connection to sea food department made for one of our quickest fitness walks to reel in tonight's dinner. Snagged one of two remaining pre-packaged fillets along with zucchini, asparagus, shallots and a lemon from 99 Ranch Market's expansive produce department to create tonight's diner: Dover Sole en Papillote with aforementioned veggies plus lemon garlic butter, dill sprig garnish. 99 Ranch Market's friendly, knowledgeable, customer service forward staff from grocery aisles to checkout is always nearby to assist!

This was my first time going to 99 Ranch Market and my expectations were super high since I love to shop at Asian Markets. Bakersfield needs a 99 Ranch Market then I wouldn't have to travel approximately 2hrs just to visit this place. I haven't been to other 99 Ranch Markets, but my expectations were super high since at this point I've been to Tokyo Central, HMart, and Seafood City and I feel like 99 Ranch Market was just an okay experience for me. The store has a variety of Asian supplies, food items and lots of Asian products, but I feel like I found more variety at the other places. I definitely want to visit another location to see if it's just this one, but it's super overpopulated and there's no where to park unless the locals can give us some tips. The place is not hard to find, but the outside parking is metered so good luck if you want to get lost inside. I don't know if I would go out of my way to visit this one again, but if I was in the neighborhood then I would love to come by again and pick up my essentials.

Always enjoy shopping at an eclectic diverse and unique market full of interesting products and groceries. I recommend giving yourself enough time to browse thoroughly cause every isle is packed with great items. Free parking structure attached.

Always find something new here! I love browsing the aisles. Came in close to store closing to pick up some essentials and left with a cart full of things! On the intercom they announced that the bakery breads in the glass casing is buy one get one free. I went over and the cashiers there told everyone it's buy two get one free. Not sure who made the mistake, the intercom person or the cashiers but I did buy 6 and only paid for 4 so that's still a good deal just not the deal I or anyone else that went over there were expecting.

Love this Westwood 99 ranch! Clean, cozy, aisles packed with delicious foods and organic, clean, consumer-oriented brands alongside childhood staples... Whoever is managing this 99 ranch market has a degree in business because they really know their westwood clientele-- As a longtime shopper of whole foods organics, I've shifted a good portion of my grocery list to 99 ranch because they carry good stuff and not just unhealthy foods-- Their wildcaught frozen smelt and organic mushrooms brings me in and their hotpot cuts of wagyu and other varieties keep me in the store for longer than I plan. Plus they accept ebt (great, if you're a student) and they have a very clean interior and an awesome food court upstairs with a cute dining area with plenty of tables and chairs for hangouts with friends.

I'm so glad 99 Ranch Market opened in Westwood. It's the closest location to my place and has quickly become my go-to spot. This place is pretty clean and well organized. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the store has everything I need, whether I'm picking up ingredients to make Asian food at home or just grabbing some of my favorite snacks. The prices are reasonable, and the whole shopping experience is super easy and convenient especially they have their own free parking garage on lower level. Highly recommend!

We went to try the food court on the second floor. There is only deli section open when we got there at 8pm. Most dishes are gone but we were pleasantly surprised to see a few bento boxes left with roast duck, bbq and Hainanese chicken options (with a side of pickled vegetables and rice at the bottom). The duck bento box sells for only $8.99 and has 4-5 big chunks of duck meat. The meat was quite juicy and fatty, exactly what you expect from Chinese roasted duck!

Until today didn't know Hello Kitty toilet paper existed.

Stopped at the 99 Ranch Market today on the way to UCLA Medical Center. Went to the bakery and got a Danish Red Bean Bar. It was very big and very good. Looked at all the bakery items. They are around half the price of baked goods at other bakeries in the area and are larger. Looking forward to stopping at the bakery at the 99 Ranch Market and trying something different the next time I am walking up to UCLA Medical Center.

Yay to 99 Ranch opening closer to home! There is tons of underground parking (it's tight though), everything is so well organized and super clean right now, and staff is surprisingly great. At checkout, our lady was so helpful! Even the security guard was friendly. They have some good sales going on, too, plus so many delicious things. This is right by UCLA so prepare for tons of cute, unsullied students on grocery trips. On my most recent trip, a few delicious things I had: Cookie Butter Egg Rolls $3.99 Turtle Corn Soup Chips $4.49 Taipei Sesame Crisps $2.49 Frozen flower pancake on sale for $3.98 (normally $6) Cheese Toast bread $3.99 Enoki Mushrooms 99 cents White Beech Mushrooms 89 cents And the infamous Tik Tok viral Great Forest Propitious Mango ice cream in the shape of a mango, as I got for $13.99 but they also have the OG peach and lemon. Bring your own bags or pay 10 cents for a reusable plastic bag. The food court upstairs has 3 spots open currently with more to come. There is a lot of seating up there and the staff is equally as friendly as in the market. The brewery guy brought us water to our table. We didn't even order from him, what a kind soul!

It was my first time here, and I'm so glad I discovered this place! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and we honestly enjoyed every dish we ordered. The highlight for me was definitely the oysters -- they were so good that I had to order a second round . Another standout was the steamed mussels in white wine and garlic sauce. The mussels were huge, juicy, and packed with flavor. I was also very impressed by the miso black cod. It came with mushrooms in a rich miso sauce that paired perfectly with rice. Everything tasted comforting and well-balanced. Our server was also very thoughtful and friendly. He split the clam chowder into four smaller portions for our group, which made it much easier to share. One thing to note: the seafood market opens early, but the restaurant itself opens at 11 AM. And if you end up loving the fish from your meal, you can actually buy the same fresh marinated fish directly from the market to take home. Such a cool concept!

After this first experience, this place is about a solid three stars for me. I may come back again if in Santa Monica... I am still a bit under the weather and drove here because I wanted some kind of seafood soup. They offer three different kinds of soups which I appreciated! There is NE clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder and a fish chowder. Since I dont always see fish chowder on the menu, I ordered a small bowl. I wanted a larger bowl and a place to sit down and eat it but the place was packed for lunch and I didnt feel like grabbing a spot at their bar as I needed to get back on the road, so just went with the small (and I am glad I did - read on to see why). They have a funny system here because you only order their menu items from a cashier in the back, but then take a number if you want fresh seafood. I wanted to try their Hawaiian style poke and cashier had me go and grab a number. I grabbed a number and it wasn't busy so I was served immediately. For a 1/4 lb of Hawaiian poke, it was about $9.50. Whats also strange is that I grabbed my soup (did not pay for it in the back), and my Hawaiian poke and then paid up front. Everything came close to $20. I sat in my car, (which thank goodness, this seafood market has its own parking lot, so that was greatly appreciated), and dug into my soup. Unfortunately, the soup was pretty bland and needed a bit more salt. But, I will say that the ingredients used in the fish chowder were all very fresh, and fish wasnt overcooked, but it needed to be seasoned more. Hawaiian poke was great, excellent taste. Overall, a so so experience, I would have liked better scenery to eat my food being I was very close to the beach and wished I had a more seasoned fish chowder. I could be convinced to come back and give it a second try, but I think I might prefer to visit Malibu Seafood which isnt too far from here and has great ocean views.

We were in the area for my son's doctor's appointment and discovered this place nearby. What a bonus! If you're anywhere close, it's absolutely worth a visit. The sushi here is next-level. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients--the freshness of the rice, the fish, and the attention to detail in every bite. I started with salmon and tuna nigiri, plus a salmon roll that was cut into small bite-sized pieces. Honestly, I was popping them into my mouth like candy. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. They also have a great selection of hot foods. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by freshly prepared unagi (eel), which looked amazing. They also offer katsu, and other ready-to-eat items. I grabbed a Spam musubi, and wow--it may be the best Spam musubi I've ever had, even better than some I've had in Hawaii. The Spam still had a slight crispiness, the egg added richness, and the seasoning brought everything together with an incredible umami flavor. What I love most is that the place reminds me of a Japanese convenience store (konbini)--but an upscale version. It's like Tsukigi market had a store in Ginza. You can buy fresh seafood, ingredients to make your own sushi at home, or simply grab a meal and enjoy it there. The quality throughout the store is outstanding. The atmosphere is great too. There's always a buzz of people shopping for sushi or enjoying their food outside in the seating area. It feels lively and authentic. One suggestion: try to get there early if you can. They had so many ready-made sushi trays, rolls, nigiri, and prepared foods available, but a lot of them were already nearly sold out by the time I got there. I noticed a sign saying items are made fresh regularly throughout the day, which is a great sign of how popular and fresh everything is. Still, if you want first pick of all the goodies, I'd recommend arriving earlier. My only real complaint is the parking. The lot is small, and during busy times you'll probably need some patience. I visited on a weekday during rush hour, but once I got my food, it was completely worth it. The drive back to Simi Valley flew by because I couldn't stop eating and thinking about how good everything was. I honestly can't wait to find another excuse to come back. This place is such a treat. If you're looking for high-quality sushi, fresh seafood, delicious prepared foods, and a taste of Japan without getting on a plane, this place delivers.

We have always made her food fresh every day, but one day she decided, this steak is not for me, burger, shove it. She even refused chicken. I went on line and talked to friends who said get her deer, and kangaroo. Okay, so I searched and found Wild Fork. I ordered on line because I had no idea they were down the street from me. We cooked it up and she is eating again. We then went there and had the best service you can imagine. Fila knew everything from fat content to calories. Venison burgers are great. I did not love the Kangaroo, but my husband did and the Elk is just so tasty. And all of it is healthy and you can freeze it for months or just defrost and cook. We can't wait to try their seafood and steaks, but right now it appears we are on the dog's diet. We could not be happier with this place and now go every week. Jose is very knowledgeable and tells you which fruit is in season and which is not. He is responsive over emails and text messages. I order from him the day before to get delivery the next morning.
