I've been coming here for many years and it used to be one of my favorite stops, especially for the mango lassi. Kamal always created a welcoming atmosphere, and there was also a lady in the back who was excellent with customer service (I think she still answers the phone). Unfortunately, the experience has changed recently. The person currently at the front seems disengaged and lacks basic customer service. No greeting when you walk in, no acknowledgment after payment, and no effort to check if customers need anything like water or napkins. It's a noticeable drop from how things used to be. The food is still good, which is why I continue to come back, but even that seems a bit inconsistent now. The mango lassi I had today were more watery than usual. I'll likely still visit, but it's disappointing to see a place that was once so welcoming lose that touch. read more

I did online ordering for takeout. Estimated time to pick up is about 30 min. The food came out pretty hot and the flavors are good! I get my go to chicken tikka masala and chicken curry. You can definitely tell the difference in flavor between the curry and the tikka masala. I got them spicy and the curry was more spicy. It was right level of spice and the containers had a lot of chicken pieces. Price is reasonable and the entree includes basmati rice which is nice as some places charges extra for rice. I have ALWAYS recommended India House! Hubby and I would meet our adult kids here once a month as our family spot. Then Covid hit so it was to go only for a while and we moved to HB but we would still go because the food and service are beyond amazing. I stopped in today because I was craving saag paneer and was so surprised at the interior! They have indoor dining again! Happy to announce that my all-time favorite Indian restaurant has reopened for dine-in!!!! Best news of 2025 for sure :') I've been a loyal customer for years, and was so heartbroken when they switched to takeout only during the pandemic and a few years that followed. I called them like every other month to ask if their dining room was open again. So much that they even saved my phone number on their landline phone and know who I am when I reach out now. When they finally opened up their dining room again, I came in that same night, LOL. I'm not even joking when I tell you that India House Restaurant is the only thing that beats a Jet 2 Holiday. Their service is superb, parking is plentiful, and food is consistently exquisite. I always order their butter chicken, garlic naan, mango lassi, and recently tried their pani puri. One word: fiyaaaaah!!!!! I mean the literal spice level is tolerable (I usually opt for medium and it's perfect for me), but in a figurative sense, their cuisine is equal parts authentic and equal parts delicious. Given that I'm Vietnamese, I can only speak to just how authentic dishes are outside of my culture, but my Indian friends that I've introduced to this spot also really like the food. Oh and I should also mention that the restaurant owner, Kamal, is also hella PLUR. Where else can you sip on chai while jamming out to trance and house music? Talk about dinner and a show. We've been coming here for almost 8 years now. It's been a long time since we've been back, we now live about 20 mins away and after covid they only did togo orders. Well they remodeled their dining area! The food is still so delicious!! We ordered their samosas, chicken tika masala, butter chicken, mango lassi, and their plain naan. I've been to a couple Indian restaurants in my lifetime and India House is definitely one of the best I've ate at. Today I had the chicken tikka masala and it hit the spot with the basmati rice all mixed together in my favorite bowl at home. Ordered food for takeout. Initially tried to order via phone but it either kept ringing or going straight to voicemail. After a few tries, I eventually gave up and ordered online. This is a very unassuming restaurant in a shopping plaza. The interior design does not match how it looks from the outside at all - there were large televisions playing a sports game with a few tables and booths for indoor dining. When I arrived there was only one person serving tables and also managing the register, which he did with a cheery disposition. I ordered 3 types of curries and a garlic chili naan. I'm no Indian cuisine expert, but I was taken aback with how sweet the Chicken Tikka Masala was. Also, the garlic chili naan was predominantly garlic with barely any chili. The portions were relatively small for the price, but I tend to have a big appetite, so it may be reasonable for someone else. Also ordered some rice so we could it with as well but the items were rich in flavor and had that flavor where you couldn't stop yourself from eating!! If you're looking for authentic Punjabi food, this is your spot! I tried the butter chicken, rice, garlic naan and raita here and all of it was amazing. The customer service was exceptional. I was hesitant to ask about curry bases because a lot of places will get defensive but here, they were very welcoming! I got exactly what I hoped to get! The texture of the naan was fluffy and fresh just as it should be. They used fresh garlic which is hard to come around nowadays. The sauce on the butter chicken was full of flavor and didn't leave a raw cream taste in your mouth. It was cooked to perfection. The raita might have had sour cream in it which I didn't prefer but I didn't mind. If you're big on perfect raita, I'd skip this. Price point and cleanliness were exceptional. It's tough for me to rate this place three stars. They're super friendly, and it's very close for me to get here. But there's a few things that turn me off and will probably stop me from being a regular. The food is good. I don't have much in terms of complaints, but not a strong compliment either. I find the portion, the taste, the price okay. My favorite dish is Saag Paneer and I think this one is okay. The Naan tastes like Naan, the chutney they serve is good, the samosa's are excellent. My wife get's the lamb curry and she's not a fan. I'm not a fan of lamb in general so I can't say if it's good or bad but it's not my jam either. There's are places to sit while you wait for your food, and that's probably my main complaint. Each time I've gone the estimate has been off by a decent amount. Being told 30 minutes, then waiting 45. The extra 15 isn't a big deal, but it's twice I've sat inside for awhile waiting. Seeing they have lunch specials soon I'll probably revisit for that, but for dinner I think I'd pass. read more
