We have been with this vet for a year or two. We have had one cat spayed and one cat neutered, along with all their check-ups and shots. The staff is very nice and so good with your pet. Our dog goes to another vet (original since adoption) but we are thinking about transferring him to Indian Creek. We originally found this place by calling around for spaying our rescue kitty that was fond at Lake Lowell by my daughter. Not wanting to overwhelm or wait for weeks for the low cost public clinics, I looked at reviews and got quotes from several Veterinary establishments. This place was very reasonable compared to other places. We took our rescue kitty and low-and-behold she was already pregnant. I guess Lake Lowell is the place to be. So they looked her over and said she was very healthy. After giving birth to a whole lotta absolutely adorable kittens, we got her spayed when she was ready. The cost of shots and the spay procedure was a lot cheaper than other places. After adopting out the litter, we kept one that was a boy. When the time was appropriate, we took him in to get neutered. In both instances of surgery and the other times we took our kitties in for booster shots, the staff was nothing but kind and professional. Not only did they put our furkids at ease, they put my wife and I at ease. I would not hesitate recommending this place for cats. I'll update if I choose to transfer my dog to Indian Creek. read more

We rescued two baby kittens that were about 10 days old and took them here for a check up. The staff were very nice and it was clear that they all love the pets they treat. W0W and I mean W0W!! We own Shar Pei's our last one had to be put down. We used Indian Creek as another vet recommend as our Shar Pei was dying. The gentleman were both up front. I kept my Shar Pei a few more months before putting him down. The kindness the warmth the caring they all gave the day we had to put him down was unreal and so welcomed. They even sent us a sympathy card. My wife cried. Fast forward 5 months later a new Vet (Doctor) was hired (I guess) when she found out that our dog was a Shar Pei puppy she had him muzzled before even seeing him. She had the nerve to give my puppy a rabies shot as "he's a Shar Pei". Then calls my wife telling her he is out of control and needs doggie school. She even sent out a pamphlet for it. Didn't have the nerve to come out and face my wife. "Called her" Yeah we found a NEW Vet that isn't about numbers but caring. Heed my warning your a number now. Your not a pet owner. We have been taking our two dogs here for their shots the last couple of years, and for the most part, they do a good job with that. However, two days ago we had to make the hard decision to put our oldest dog down because he had cancer. We scheduled an appointment, and My wife, our two young boys, and myself all went in the room to comfort him and say our goodbyes. Everything was going as well as it could given the circumstances, until the vet came in the room with us. Previously we had worked with Dr. Pilcher, who was always great and seemed to care a lot about us and our dogs. But I can't say the same about Dr. Ludwig. She came in the room and the first thing she asked us was why we were putting our dog down, and in a way that made it seem like we had to explain ourselves because she had no idea. As a vet do you not check the dogs file to learn a little bit about what is going on? This was the same vet clinic that diagnosed our dog with the cancer months ago, so that information was in there. After we explained this all to her, she had us muzzle him because he was really scared and she was worried of him biting at her, which of course is understandable. He was only a 25 pound dog, so not really that big. But we put the muzzle on him no problem. But after she gave him a sedative to help him relax and calm down, we thought we would have a least a minute or two to remove the muzzle, pet him and say goodbye until she administered the fatal shot. Nope, after about 15 seconds she said, "Let's get this over with" and gives him the shot. Look I am sorry if you are busy and if we are an inconvenience, but please learn some compassion and realize people are losing animals they love and took care of for years. After talking to friends and family about our experience we realized this was not how other vets handle situations like this, and it makes us feel even worse. I am sorry, but we will not be coming back to this place, and it will not be a business we recommend. read more

Dog needed emergency surgery to remove a mass. I called today to get her in for that emergency surgery and was told it won't be until the 28th. Which is 10 days away, I could lose my pet! This is against all care that's taught in school, obviously money means more than care! read more

Our 15 year old whippet has had tough couple of weeks. Last week there was a visit to the Emergency Pet Vet in Garden City and then what was suppose to be a followup and introductory visit to who we hoped to be our new vet in Star. Well Star Veterinary Clinic was a bust. All Dr Porter seemed to want to do was sell us meds we already had, for the one symptom that was no longer the problem, he ignored what concerned us (swollen neck glands) which would have been impossible to miss if he had done a proper exam. Then he started complaining about the problems with new people moving into the area. We were able to get Stella an appointment at Indian Creek Vet Clinic. A very thorough exam was made, blood tests were done, review of her previous med history, including tests and blood tests made. She now has several new meds to address her swollen neck glands and they trimmed her nails. Dr. Pilcher was outstanding, he was very professional and we felt that cared about his patients. My boyfriend brought his cat into Indian Creek Veterinary and after several tests and almost $200.00 later, was advised that she has the start of kidney disease which is common at 18 years old. My low rating is because he sat in the car for 45 minutes waiting to hear the results of some blood work. A technician blamed him for not answering his phone but they don't have his number. They were calling my phone but it was set to mute in error. When she came out to the car, she had a rude tone with her comments of advising they were very busy and she didn't have time to walk out. She took the cat back in so she would have had to walk out again. I later spoke with the vet who didn't believe my boyfriend, saying that the technician had many years with them and was a model employee. I've known my boyfriend for over 10 years and he has never lied. What happened to customer service?? My boyfriend never even received an apology for being chewed out. I've requested that all of my pets records be mailed to me so that I can find a vet who handles their clients more professionally, especially after spending over $800.00 including surgery the cat required. I wouldn't take your pets here if you feel the same way. read more

I had the most unfortunate experience at this place yesterday... I took my cocker spaniel and she had a growth in her ear... The doctor there D LaVelle, couldn't seem to make up his mind one way or the other whether it was cancerous or noncancerous very wishy-washy charged me $95 and did nothing leaving me completely confused... Today I took her to another vet who told me exactly what it was it was a wart it's not cancerous it can be removed.And it won't cost nearly the amount to have it removed that they gave me for an estimate of nearly $500. I took my puppy there yesterday for her first vet visit a wellness check up.I was not impressed to say the least.The Dr came in listened to puppys heart.looked at her teeth and,gave her some worm meds.she did not even take my puppys temp and,one of the girls weighed puppy.that was it and,I paid them 78.00 I felt like I was raped.I,m really thinking that I will not take puppy back there for her second shot as I asked about her second shot and,they told me it would be another 60.00 for one shot that she would need on the 21st of june did not even ask me if I wanted to make another visit for her second shot. and,the third one with rabies would be another 90.00 they are expensive.I,m just not very pleased with the place.I looked up what all I should have got in puppy wellness check and,she the Dr did not look at her eyes,nose,ears,feet,fur,and,genitalia area at all.Did not ask or talk to me about microchipping or spaying her. read more

More of 4.5 stars.When our dog Lola got sick last week we could not find any place that would take her. Everywhere was full. We finally found Indian Creek and they got her in quickly and we received good care. The only reason I did not give them a five star rating is because I do think they're slightly overpriced, but I don't know if any veterinarian would be priced too much differently. I have a hard time being in the medical field and then paying so much for an IV and the medicines. The service upfront was nice and actually my bill was lower than quoted. Again, great care but for me it's hard to pay almost $600 for dehydration. (She did have an x-ray, anti-nausea meds and a 2 day stay) bottom line, I would go there again if we couldn't get into our normal vet. read more

I remember when Dr Pilcher came on board and then when he took over and now is Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital. Dr Pilcher and everyone there are the best. We'd just recently moved here from out of state and needed a vet for a lump that was growing on our dog's leg. The facility was very clean and the staff all welcoming. The vet diagnosed the lump as a tumor and got him in to remove it right away (prices were awesome compared to other vets we've been to in the past!). Just had his stitches removed and they said he's healed up beautifully. I would definitely recommend this office! read more

This vet had in the past good service, but something happened to change their service, I used the in October 2020 and needed a prescription renewal and a new one for the same incident for my dog for pain, the office person said they would get them ready, I asked how would I know if it was done and they said just come in the next day but they would call if any problem. No one took care of it, nothing was done and I drove an hour round trip to pick these up and they then started with lies and attitude. they refuse to let me make a complaint or speak with the person in charge and then said I made demand and was rude. How unethical, we will make a BBB report and will never use them again as I don't know if it was the office person making lies or the vet not doing his job. I wrote a letter since the office manager and vet would not call me about the incident, but they refuse to answer me. In the past the vet was good but I can't use a place that is dishonest. read more

The old building was raised this year and re-placed by a state of the art facility. Dee, Gina, Erin, Niki (Vet techs).... meet you at the desk. The aquarium is the lobby is worth stopping by... Nemo and all is friends are there! The sense of responsibility and feelings for your pet(s) are very heartfelt. When it was time for one of our beloved dogs to go... Dr. P even made a house call... So she to go in a favorite place on the "farm" The next day there was a card in the mailbox from signed from Dr Bill and all the staff on how they would miss her too... That is service... 5 Stars! Horrible vet clinic. Our dog became very sick after surgery and after 4 visits died. He was healthy other than having a bad tooth and a tumor on his leg. He ended up dying a month later from what they say was unrelated to the surgery, but couldn't say what caused him to become so sick after surgery. read more

Our puppy was diagnosed with parvo a day after we bought him from a breeder, we went in to Dr. Pilcher's office to get him treated, after long 9 days he finally got released today. Dr Pilcher and his staff did everything to save him and they were successful. We called the office 3-4 times a day to check on him and they were always friendly and never bothered by our calls or questions. Dr Pilcher even went out of his way and didn't charge us for the last 2 days he was there. He helped us out tremendously and we are so happy he made our puppy healthy again. Thanks to the awesome staff for everything they did for us and our puppy!!! If you are looking for a great Vet, I can only recommend Indian Creek Hospital. read more

I had my dobermans ears cropped at Indian Creek Veterinary hospital a couple of months ago. I had been having them re-rack them and last month we missed a appointment to have them racked due to we couldn't get time together. Today I went in to get them checked, and when I asked Dr. Pilcher why her ears were uneven, he went off on me telling me that because I missed getting them re-racked they were messed up. I went to stand up and walk out when he grabbed my doberman around the neck and hung on tight. My daughter had a hold of my dogs leash and we were trying to get him to let go which turned into a yelling event. This is the worst veterinarian EVER and I would highly recommend that if you would like your pet not to be abused not to take them here. read more
