I stopped by here for a quick bite in between errands. The gentlemen were very kind and helpful. I got the mango lassi which was pre-packaged so came out very quickly. They were out of the chicken pakora so I got the fish pakora instead and the flavor was pretty good. They had a decent amount of seating. Overall a good experience.

Another time, same yummy taste! It is my small guilty pleasure And I have a new favorite too. Rose petal burfi is just so yum! It is mildly sweet and has that delicate rose flavor

    Pani Puri shots

Gurtej and his team did a phenomenal job catering our wedding! Every single sweet and pastry we ordered throughout the day was a massive hit with our guests. The Pani Puri shots were a huge crowd favorite, while the Moong Dal Halwa, Chum Chum, and divine Gulab Jamun were absolute highlights for me. Outstanding customer service from start to finish--we couldn't be happier!

They have a wide variety of indian sweets. Like many other similar stores, you can mix and match different kinds of sweets. I would put Bangladeshi sweets on top, but these are not bad either. The staffs were also welcoming.

Recently visited Kabila Sweets before Diwali, and I could very much tell that it's one of the more popular sweet shops in the bay. That parking lot was mobbed and people were scrambling for their diwali sweets! I half expected their supply to be sparce the day before Diwali but it was the opposite! Anticipating the demand. They had 4 long tables with trays of fresh sweets to choose from. You could put together your own box and thankfully they enforce wearing gloves. It was easy to walk in, grab a box and some gloves, pick what I want, pay and go. Will definitely be back the next time I have a mithai craving. The standouts for me was their gulab jamun and their paan sweet (dont know the name). Every single piece was delicious though :) and the sweets didnt dry in the fridge.

North Indian Heaven! 5/5 Stars Kabila Santa Clara is a small but mighty spot delivering some of the best North Indian flavors around. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are consistently amazing. The Hits: My personal favorites include the perfect Chole Bhatoore, creamy Malai Kofta, rich Saag Paneer, and classic Butter Chicken. Don't forget their great assortment of sweets! Big Bonus: They also offer fantastic catering , we trust them completely and always order their food for our office Diwali party! A must try spot for great food and reliable service.

It's been about 2 years since my last visit, and I'm so glad I came back. I reviewed Kabila 7 years ago, and it's great to see how well it's held up -- even better now with the renovations! This visit, I ordered the Chole Bhatura and Mix Paratha. Both were flavorful and comforting -- exactly what you want from authentic Panjabi food. The service continues to be excellent. Special thanks to Gurwinder Singh, who brings so much warmth to the place. His smile and hospitality truly reflect the spirit of Punjab. Great to see familiar faces and a familiar place still going strong. Will definitely be back again! Mention this review for extra free smiles and amazing hospitality

    Needle in a chicken Samosa

We found what appeared to be a sewing needle inside a chicken samosa from this restaurant. On May 25 around 3:30 PM, we ordered food to-go. When we got home, my wife bit into a chicken samosa and immediately felt something hard and sharp while chewing. She pulled what looked like a sharp sewing needle out of her mouth and understandably panicked. We immediately contacted the restaurant. The employee we spoke with was polite and offered to refund the samosa, but honestly, that misses the point entirely. A refund does not address the seriousness of what could have happened here. If my wife had swallowed that needle, this could have resulted in severe internal injury or internal bleeding. This was not a small piece of bone or food debris -- it was a sharp metal object. What concerns me most is the complete lack of urgency and ownership from management. We asked to speak with the owner and were told they were unavailable. We called back again on 5/26 hoping to discuss the situation further, and still have not heard from the owner. For something this serious, that response is incredibly disappointing. The bigger issue is this: how does something like this even make it into a customer's food in the first place, and what safeguards are being put in place to ensure it never happens again? That is what customers deserve to know. We are extremely grateful this did not end in a medical emergency, but this situation was absolutely unacceptable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but people should be aware of this incident, and ownership should take it seriously enough to address it directly with their kitchen staff and operational processes.

This review is based on my overall experience with Kabila over the years. Most of my visits have been to pick up Indian sweets from them, mainly during Indian events and festivals like Diwali, Holi, etc. Their Indian sweets are probably among the best and most authentic you can buy in the Bay Area. Our family loves their Pedhas, Rasgullas, and Gulab Jamuns! Even their snack items, like samosas, are made fresh and are pretty good. We've been meaning to try their regular lunch/dinner food and finally got the chance yesterday (Doordash pickup). We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Punjabi, and Shrimp Pepper Masala. The chicken and lamb were good. The Shrimp Pepper Masala was a complete miss. It was made with the same base sauce as the chicken dish and was nowhere close to what Shrimp Pepper Masala should taste like. I'll stick with the usual familiar North Indian dishes next time. Overall, though, happy to give a four star rating...

We're so glad we came across this amazing Indian restaurant on our way back to Sacramento from the Bay! We ordered papad, chicken and fish as our app and then naan, a chicken entree and Raita. OMG it was all delicious! I'll let the photos speak for themselves. My 3 year old LOVED the food and honestly we could not have been happier with the customer service. The staff were polite, attentive, friendly and made excellent recommendations. We also got a mango shake and some chai for the long drive ahead. We will be coming back every time we're in the area. The aesthetic is a plus and the ambiance was very welcoming!

Would you be able to cater at a private event (at someone's residence) including delivering/setting the food at the residence?

One of the items was an item i was going to order separately, but decided to switch it out when I heard it was going to be in the special. The employee helpfully offered some popular alternatives. The food was absolutely delicious! A good amount of spice and not like some of the places more local to me. (I'm from Sac.) We ordered the following: Special Lunch Thali, Pav Bhaji, and Puranpoli. The only time I could've done without was the Puranpoli. I didn't care for the flavor of the spice/sweetness, but that's just me personally. We devoured it Sabudana Vada - Crispy outside, soft inside, and just the right size. Didn't care much for the chutney though. Sabudana Khichdi - This one didn't work for me; it leaned a bit too sweet. Ukadiche Modak & Puranpoli - The stars of the meal! Highly recommend both. The modak was soft, pillowy, and melt-in-your-mouth with a great dough-to-filling balance. The Puranpoli was super soft, ultra-thin dough, and perfectly flavored stuffing--excellent in both taste and quantity Sol Kadhi - Just okay for me; not something I'd return specifically for. Kokam Sharbat - Loved it! Overall, a wonderful spot for authentic Maharashtrian flavors with warm, welcoming staff. I'd definitely come back!

I ordered the egg biryani, butter chicken, and their friday curry flight that came with the choice of 3 curries, a salad, raita, and naan. The biryani was super flavorful and not dry, and the egg paired with it well. All the curries were spicy and delicious, honestly not much more to say about it. I will say their raita is not my favorite, its just thick plain yogurt. I ordered online and I had to wait a little when I got there but that was okay. Local Pakistani artwork adorning the walls. Delicious grilled meat smells wafting around as well. ***FOOD: we got chicken 65, naan and samosa chaat sans yogurt. *chicken 65-3/5- this was almost beetroot red in color. In my naivety I hoped it was some natural food color using beetroot. But I later learnt from them that it was not. It left me appalled at the liberal use of such toxic artificial colors. Colors aside, the chicken itself was delicious. But I will make sure to ask them beforehand next time and order something that doesn't have colors. *naan-5/5- this was amazing. Hot from the tandoor. It wasn't charred at the bottom. It was light and large. It was clear that it was made by someone who knew their craft. I will come back here just for the naan. *samosa chaat-3/5- this made me sick, I had an upset tummy for a few days after. It was hot day so I m assuming they had problems with their chutney or maybe it was the samosa with the potato filling. Upset tummy aside, the chaat flavors were decent, not the best of the lot but decent nonetheless.

First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM. The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes. Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. If you're looking for reliable and delicious Indian catering, Delhicacies should be at the top of your list! Give them a chance and thank me later. You are welcome!!!

There's a waitlist you can join when you arrive, and it wasn't too bad with our party of 7. Again, we really didn't know what to order beyond the dosas. We did look up a few and asked the server as well. But we were pretty much going in blind again. On this visit, I did notice that someone would go around with refills on the chutneys and what not. The restrooms are accessible outside the restaurant, which is a bit of a pain. And there is signage everywhere to monitor your car as break-ins happen often, so that's not the most comforting.
