Going to this market is a unique experience. It's filled with authentic food, spices, and cookware from Indian. There's also a great little cafe tucked in back where you can buy Indian food. I've eaten at the cafe twice and enjoyed it both times. It's very traditional. I'll be honest, I can't pronounce the names of most of the dishes on the menu, so I usually ask for help. The employees are always great about explaining the menu, and how I butcher the names of the food. During my last visit, I had a Big Thali for $17.99. In American, it means big lunch combo... The rice, naan bread, and main course (don't ask me to spell it) were delicious. Everything was fresh, arrived hot, and loaded with spice, like I like my girls. Get it, Spice Girls... Stopped here recently with my mom, we got papri chaat, fried vegetable momo and Amritsari kulcha. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The sitting space is limited but the food is so worth it. Amritsari kulcha was one of the best I have had in recent times, very flavorful and included the essential imli and onion chutney. I've noticed this new Indian market finally I stopped in today out of curiosity. They have a fresh bakery in the front and cooked vegetarian dishes cooked to order in the back. It's also a grocery store that has so many spices and options. I tried the samosa, puff pastry (stuffed) and Indian flatbread since I had this pesto sauce at home that I wanted to pair it. It was ALL fresh and delicious-I put it in air fryer when I got home-it was all flavorful, fresh and delicious. They said everything is vegetarian next time I'll try more...they also have naan and garlic naan. read more

So excited to see a great super market with everything we need on our way to Redding. The gentleman working the front desk in the supermarket were so pleasant and helpful. The best surprise was the kitchen with all home made vegetarian dishes. We order the Mix Parantha, Chole Poori and Kahdi Pakoda to go. The flavors of the dishes were incredible, absolutely delicious. Very hit or miss for the restaurant. The photos of food are also not accurate. For example, I ordered the pani puri and all the stuffing was completely mixed in the tamarind chutney which I did not like at all and was not what was pictured. I previously had the vada pav which is actually really good. Some of their daily Thali curries can be very sweet and bland. The pav bhaji was just okay. As for the grocery store, I like that it has more options than others nearby. The produce can also be hit or miss, some days they're fresh and great and others days they are wilted and spoiled. If they could improve that to be consistent that would be great. read more

Unwelcoming Experience - Will not return! My daughter and I visited this Indian Supermarket in Sacramento hoping to explore and try some new food. Unfortunately, the experience was far from welcoming. From the moment we walked in, not a single employee greeted us, smiled, or even acknowledged our presence. They simply stared at us without saying a word, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and uninviting. We weren't expecting anyone to follow us around, but a simple "hello" or "let us know if you need help" would have gone a long way--especially since we were the only customers in the store at the time. It wasn't busy, so the lack of basic courtesy felt even more unacceptable. Customer service matters, and first impressions count. Sadly, we left without buying anything because the atmosphere made us feel out of place. Nice and clean supermarket with lots of stuff. Came in for lunch and enjoyed their Thali with side of kofta and dal mukhani. My significant other got their spinach, aloo paratha, and makki roti. I also tried the Amritsari kulcha , which was fresh with amazing spices, paired with the chole . Lastly, I tried the momos, both fried and steamed dumplings. My personal favorites were the steamed ones--fresh, mouth watering and delicious, with a unique taste that made for a delightful first-time experience. I discovered this market on Instagram. It's huge and really well organized. I looked around and although I did not purchase anything from the market prices were comparable to other Indian markets. What I did purchase was the hot food. They have an all vegetarian menu that rotates daily. I got the 3 item so that I could try all of the entrees. It also came with rice, yoghurt sauce, desert and you choice of bread. I went with the garlic naan. Everything was absolutely delicious. I was concerned everything would be mild since you don't pick a spice level but I was happy each entree was a medium spice level. I will be back to shop and try the different menus. read more

This is a new Indian grocery store & food stall that recently opened near Dominoes & KidsPark in natomas. The aunties who make the food are LEGIT. The fresh food in the back corner of the store is soooo good! You must try it! It's all vegetarian and a fairly small menu but literally everything I've tried has been delicious. The store itself is stocked with various products all the way up to the ceiling. And it can be really overwhelming. Knocked off a star because the veggies have been wilted & on the verge of spoiling every visit I've made and the sweets have been stale every time I've gotten them. Don't get the sweets in the huge display because they're not fresh. But love everything else about this new addition to Natomas. read more

Finally made it back to Indian Supermarket delicious kitchen menu for takeout food on a Wednesday. If you're looking for a lunch, an individual/corporate work lunch or a grab and go microwavable safe Thali to go is a great option. I ordered the Thali take out tray with plain parantha (bread). The tray: Mali Kofta (vegetables with besan flour-upper left in tray), Punjabi Kadhi (garbanzo beans). The pickled onion garnish was spicy (for me) so the added yogurt cools the tongue. It comes with rice and a phenomenal tasting little dessert (Gulab Jamun). You'll see the photos - whenever I take food out-I arrange and plate it so I can appreciate all the work and flavors that go into the cooking to then appreciate. Full disclosure, the wreath, candy, canes, and the wine are not a part of what I purchased! $11.99 with the two entrée tray. I picked up a large container of freshly made chana today. It is absolutely the best I've ever had! Can't wait to go back from the thalis. The woman running the food counter was a sweetheart. There are so many varieties of frozen food, fresh vegetables, spices and they even have a kitchen that makes fresh Indian dishes! We got the Samosas and oh my goodness. They are incredible. I've never had samosas served like these and I never want to eat anyone else's again. They are so tasty and sweet but spicy. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love this market and want to go back every day to try something new. The inside is spotless and everything is beautifully organized and so easy to find.
