Super casual, clean, vegan spot. We had the carne asada burger that was flavorful. The lions mane Nuggets that were flavorful but mushy inside. Tomato basil soba noodle bowl that had a good mix of fresh vegetables and a blast of flavor. We drove 45 mins to check this place out and we were happy with the food and ambience. However, staff could have been more attentive when we walked in and were reviewing the menu. They did not acknowledge us until we appear to be ready to order.

Super friendly service. Really appreciated we could bring the dogs in on this super hot day. The restaurant was clean and cool. Wanted to love the food, but it was middle of the road for us. Banh Mi Burger had raw topping and not very flavorful. The bolognese had a lack of depth of flavor. No umami. Very raw tomato tasting. The charred broccoli was mostly raw with that fake liquid smoke taste. Fries good hard to not be good. The Maha Mushrooms another deep fried item so they were crispy and good. The corn ribs were fibrous, dry, tough, no real flavor, hugely disappointing. The Village of Om around the corner was excellent. Not sure we'd come back here.

I feel like I'm middle of the road for Buddha, partially because I got a salad and my husband's burger was much better. Ha! They are vegan which is nice (we're trying to limit how much meat we eat). Their fries were awesome and as I mentioned, I highly recommend the burger over the salad (based on the bite I had). They are pricey, but all the ingredients felt fresh. I'll be back for a burger!

Vegan restaurant here in town and the food is fantastic! It's full of unique dishes with fresh and healthy ingredients! We love the okra and mushroom tempura with its perfectly light transparent batter for the crunch with the chewiness of the ouster mushroom and fibrous okra inside. Lions mane nuggets was also well battered and full of crunch and the sauce very tasty. While it doesn't have the firmness of traditional nuggets, the lions mane is healthy and tasty. I am a sucker for anything with oyster mushrooms so I ordered the tomato basil soba noodle dish. The kids and I love the freshness and I personally like to add a little be more salt and flavor to mine. Sunshine bowl has very healthy ingredients and good texture but also needed more flavor for my Indian wife who craves strong flavors. The hand crafted passion fruit with chia seeds is the chill we needed to cool down on a hot summer day! As a BONUS! We happened upon their first ever kids painting event possibly happening on Saturdays and Tuesdays in the future. The kids had so much fun getting to color on their personal easel to take home. It also gave us parents time to relax. I even got to writeem this review without interruption! Owner mentioned entertaining other arts and craft ideas and we love it!

Took my kids for the first time here lunch. We got the All American Burger, Carne Asasa Burger and Baby buddha burgers. All were fantastic. Staff was friendly and we were able to get a seat quickly. Dining area is spacious and clean. Overall was the one of the best vegan burgers we've had in Sac.

WHY WE WENT HERE: - dinner THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located on the corner of S St and 19th St - street parking available and walk over THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - industrial modern - order at the register, obtain a number, seat yourself, and your order is brought to you when it's ready THE MENU: - avocado toast - small bites - buddha bowls & salads - today's specials - burgers - soups - lemonade - crafted juice - plant shake - fresh pressed juice - hand crafted bubbles - coffee & hot tea WHAT WE ORDERED: - Buddha Fries - Charred Broccoli - Carne Asada Burger - Corn Ribs - Maha Mushrooms - Okra - Spaghetti Bolognese THE TASTE: - favorites for sure were the Maha Mushrooms, Charred Broccoli, and Okra - Carne Asada Burgers were misleading in the sense that it wasn't Carne Asada, but a regular patty - Spaghetti was great, I personally love when my pasta is saucy and the ingredients aren't overpowered or outnumbered by the pasta itself - Buddha fries were good with the sauce - corn ribs were refreshing CUSTOMER SERVICE: - cashier was very mellow and welcoming

First time going, first time loving a a vegan menu! The food is soooo good, love their corn ribs! Service was quick and efficient, such a friendly staff. Andy, the owner, he's so great! The interior is so fall-core, very toasty inside and I love how minimal it is. Almost all seatings are next to a huge window, view of city life while enjoying a meal. Bathrooms are squeaky clean, tables were spotless. Definitely will be coming back!

Spaghetti was okay. For those who suffers from acid I suggest you don't attempt but the vegetarian protein was good.

Preparing my fellow foodies a wonderful food experience is what I am for and expect nothing less from others review as well. Let me say that parking already is bad due to it being located on the busy corner of S and 19th next to the well known location of Massage Envy. Customer service is 5/5 patiently taking orders without making customers feel rushed Ambiance is 5/5 is so relaxing with the music playing softly in the background so you don't all have to converse by yelling at one another Food is 5/5 Bathroom 5/5 2 stalls, smells amazing and very roomy

Love this place but prices are rising
    Jacinda C.

5/5 for service, food quality, and menu options. 2/5 for price, as it is now becoming way overpriced. I've come here many times as I love the food, ambience, and multiple menu options. My absolute favorite items to order are the maha mushrooms with the sauce and golden milk latte. The flavors are impeccable, but I have been disappointed with the increase in price lately. When I purchased both, the total to go price came out to be $24, and I was told it was because the owner is trying to open other restaurants. Considering it was an appetizer and drink for the cost, it may prevent be from coming back as often in the future.

First time at this establishment, and I must say I enjoyed the experience. The music playing, suggestions from the staff Alex. He was so kind and helpful. Go Alex , absolutely the best! The food was delicious oh my. I had spicy garlic edamame,Zen burger, blueberry lemon drink, budda fries, my friend had another burger. I'm still in awe of the taste, it was so delicious. I'm definitely coming back to this place whenever in town.

Really yummy food! I don't think I'd think twice about the burger being vegetarian. The corn ribs were also super fun and unique! Well seasoned I'd say. The Buddha fries were delicious, I do wish there was more sauce on them though to cover all the fries and layers :) i ordered through DoorDash but would love to go in person soon :)

Saturday 11-3 kids get to paint and play with blocks while mom and dad enjoy their meal. We forgot to take photos of the food but it was delicious. We will be back! - lions burger - American classic - fries - mango black tea (this had lychee and chia seeds)

This is my favorite spot to eat in Sacramento. The food is yummy and will always fuel my run. The mushrooms are always prepared really well and tasty.

I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

And they are still there after almost 12 years! Both Bruce and I are very picky when we go somewhere to have what we think is going to be a 'freshly made, and high quality beef hamburger.......'; BUT when it ACTUALLY is, and it is such HIGH quality in the entire meal (the burger, the bun, the REAL ice cream shake, and the freshly cut batter dipped, and very crispy and HOT fries) falls into this category, then I am going to be very honest with my review! This quaint, but very good sized Burger Drive In is FLAWLESS in everything!!!! The decor, food, owner/and staff, and the prices is PERFECT! The meal was so large and good, that I could not eat it all. Then when Patricia gave us 2 of each of their specially fresh made dipping sauces.......well, I could not have been more happy! BUT what set this into the 'Winners Cup' arean for me, they had REAL Reese's Peanut Butter and she even made it possible for me to have it on my FRESH and very high standard double cheese burger!!!! PERFECTLY Perfect as Mary Poppins would say. HIGHLY recommend this secret gem right almost next to the world famous Gunther's Ice Cream on Franklin Blvd. Thanks SO much for the experience; Patricia!! We will be back very soon, as I cannot wait to have the FRESH Fruit Blackberry Shake! ** Bruce had the Barq's Root Beer shake and he loved it!

I'm saying 5 stars in terms of Fast-ish food. If you are comparing it to a fast food restaurant…read morelike Mc Donald's or Wendy's it's definitely better. If you're comparing it to In-N-Out or Five Guys it can hold its own. But these stars aren't putting it against a sit down with a server taking your order type of restaurant. First off, the service was stellar. I was wearing a veteran shirt and as I was ordering the person asked if I was a vet and proceeded to give me a discount for my service. She said this is normal and you can show your ID etc for it. There was no reason for her to do that so it surprised me. I also had a guy ask me if my table was clean enough as he was walking around cleaning up. Then later after I was on my way out he asked if I was happy with everything I had. The staff definitely made me feel welcome and happy I spent my money there. I got the double Mushroom Swiss, fries, and a soda. The first bite into the burger I was pleasantly surprised. I read some reviews about the burger being bland. Idk what they were thinking. It was a good burger. I'm not telling everyone I know they have to go there for their next meal, but it was a good burger. The fries were good. The serving was ample. I bought the Hot Mess spicy Ketchup. It was unclear that I could just get ketchup so I thought you had to order the dipping sauce. If you like spicy it definitely had some kick. I think I was expecting a lighter spice. Either way, it was good. Next time I'll probably just get regular ketchup. I wish they had malt vinegar. That would have really made me stoked. Inside the decor was nice and clean. Parking was super easy as well. If you live in Sac you know that sometimes that's really the most painful part of going somewhere. They have a huge parking lot. Overall I was happy with the experience. I'd definitely go again. I really wanted to try one of the shakes. They looked good. I had heard from a bunch of people that it was a good burger and overall I wasn't let down. Like I said at the beginning you can't compare it to a regular sit down restaurant but for what it is, it's definitely worth stopping in and grabbing a fast-ish meal!
