Awful customer service I called asking for buffet and was given a rude no , I then asked if they sold goat curry and was then yelled at no because she thought I asked if there is buffet again . Does it take so much to have a little bit of patience with a customer you misheard over the phone . Go if you want a desi breakfast only!! They excel at that but otherwise their food is pretty mediocre. I would say do take out because their utensils look unwashed, they refused to turn their AC on despite it being 90 degrees out and it was a full house. Everyone's eyes were burning because of the lack of ventilation in the kitchen while the barbecued food. The bathrooms were dirty. The location itself isn't that great. read more

Haven't had curry in a while, so I decided to get some chicken tikka masala, and chicken biryani. Also some rice. I placed the order on door dash and picked it up on my way home. It was ready early which was nice because I arrived sooner than expected. It looked like a mostly pickup spot but I just walked in and my food was ready. There was a woman in the kitchen and it seemed like she was doing everything. Since it's right down the road from my house the food was still piping hot when I unpacked it. I actually find a lot of Indian food too spicy for me but I love chicken tikka masala. Theirs was very delicious, a little spicy at first but it's not painfully spicy. I was surprised that the chicken in the chicken biryani wasn't boneless chunks. The flavor was great however, I probably didn't read the description correctly. Overall, I'd definitely come back, it's on northgate on my way home so it's convenient, and it's one of the only Indian/Pakistani places in the area. read more

We came here to sample the food, but I feel compelled to share my honest opinion in the hopes of attracting more customers for the owner. It's a self-service establishment, and I found myself questioning why we even decided to dine here. The process of ordering your food and constantly going back and forth to collect it was quite tedious. The fish pakora was disappointing, as only a small portion was served. The kharahi chicken was the worst I've ever tasted; it had a strong flavor of tomato paste and the portion size was incredibly small. The tandoori Roti was overcooked and tough, leaving my husband dissatisfied, especially considering the high price we paid for such subpar food. The staff were unfriendly, the lighting was inadequate, and the air conditioning was not even on. It was a complete waste of both time and money, as the place was practically empty. The presence of homeless individuals outside made entering and exiting the establishment quite unsettling. I have no intention of returning, and I believe the owner needs to address numerous issues in order to improve the overall experience. read more

One of our current go to spots is Desi Curry we have been there a few times now and have tried a variety of dishes from halwa puri, Nihari and desi breakfast items to the non-veg thali. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and homemade. The parathas, especially, are to die for so flaky, buttery, and full of flavor. Highly recommend! I came here after my sister recommended this spot. We are always on the lookout for good Pakistani food in Sacramento and the food here was so good! We got the brain masala, nihari, garlic and roghni nan, kheer and mango lassi. Everything was fresh and very flavorful, perfect spice level. They make the best chicken biryani in all of Sacramento. I know the service is slow but they are doing everything to support their business. I do what to share that for a little while they started do smaller portions but now they are regular size portion for the price and I am happy that the owners realized it ! We got the chicken cochi and the chicken tikka masala curries, with garlic naan, and I also got a falooda (vanilla ice cream sundae with vermicelli). Fantastic flavor in the curries and naan. This could have been a 5-star review, but they fell short on several things. The good: the food is fantastic. Absolutely excellent. Good-sized servings, wonderful flavors, it looked good and tasted really good. Bad: they told us there might be a 20 minute wait as there was only 1 person in the kitchen. 45 minutes later, we got our food. During this time, the owners (and parents) allowed a very cute 3-yr old boy to run around the restaurant constantly letting out ear-shattering shrieks (I am not kidding - I have kids, and they're not always well behaved, but this was insane), without a single word of reprimand. No care whatsoever for the appropriateness of this being in a public place or there being other families trying to eat. Jarring to say the least. We got our own water and instruments etc. as they seemed short-staffed. That's not a big deal. I might get takeout from them again, but most likely would not eat there. Again, the food is excellent and the staff very nice, just unbelievably slow. read more

We ordered a variety of curries and tandoori grilled meats and nan, everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked deliciously. The owner/operators are very friendly. The decor is not fancy at all, but is of no importance for a place like this, you come for the food. I would recommend the chicken kebabs, the ground meat mixed with spices is very satisfying, perfectly spicy, not too hot, not too mild. It's in a rougher area of town, but you won't feel too unsafe. We went to try this restaurant for the first time and we weren't expecting any 5-star food as all Pakistani restaurants are sub par in Sacramento area. We were served old food as it has been reheated and we could tell. The taste wasn't good either. Then the ambiance was like everything other Pakistani restaurant terrible. Her assistants, Kamaljeet and Mudusdr provided prompt and friendly service. Ms. Khan went out of her way to customize my Anda Paratha. All the ingredients were Fresh and Tasty. My husband went for the buffet which did not disappoint. He had the Goat Karahi and the Cholay Halwa Puri as well as some Naan. The breads were made fresh to order. He saw my Paratha and decided to have that as well. Everything was fresh and delicious. He said it was like eating his Mom's food. That, in my opinion, is a true compliment to the chef! I've ordered from this place twice. Both times the food was excellent but I found two long hairs in my second order. It's so disappointing because I was excited to continue buying from this place but now I'm scared I'll find more hair in future dishes I order. I read another review on GrubHub and that person also mentioned seeing hair, but I thought maybe it was a one time incident..
