Came here Monday night for dinner with some friends. I had the veggie chow mein and spring rolls with water. The service was decent. When you arrive at the restaurant, you order at the front then you pay them find a seat. When your food is ready, they bring it to you. I didn't have any issues but a friend found a spoon in her soup and asked for no boba in her tea. So she ended up getting a refund. Other than that, we had a good time. We stayed until the restaurant closed. The ambiance is okay small, can eat and or take to go. The food was good as I throughly enjoyed my meal and I'm not vegan lol.

If you're plant based and miss Chinese food, Vegan Deadly Sins is the place to be! They have an extensive menu & the chicken chow mein & the Kung Pao Vegan Chicken were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised that the portions are extremely generous, so one plate can definitely feed two people & top it off the boba, phenomenal! The seating is order and sit down versus having a server, which we didn't mind since the service is fast and overall the staff is friendly but not overly, which we didn't mind. Quick note: We stopped in with some non-vegan friends & family, to accommodate our dietary restrictions but still enjoy a meal together, and they shared they couldn't tell the difference. So we definitely recommend!

Thai fried rice with vegan shrimp

I was excited to try a new Vegan restaurant that as a bonus, serves boba teas and smoothies. There are a nice variety drinks which are made with Oat Milk by default. I ordered the Thai iced tea smoothie with Boba at 50% sweetness, which was refreshing but I think would have been better at 75 to 100% sweetness. The Boba had a great chewy texture. I appreciated that the menu listed if peanuts were in a dish and the staff were diligent about noting food allergies. The General Tso's "chicken" had a great crispness but was a little bit too tangy for our taste. The Thai fried rice with vegan shrimp was very tasty. It was not particularly spicy, the pineapple was undercooked and the green beans in the dish were a little overcooked but I still would order this dish again. The seating area is fairly casual and ice water is self serve. There is one gender neutral bathroom. The food came out quickly, making it a good option to get a quick meal before a Broadway Sacramento show.

A VEGAN gem in the heart of downtown/midtown SAC... This review is for the restaurant that shares location with the bubble tea bar E tea. Food: Fried pumpkin - 5/5 - a straight forward snack Fried taro - 5/5 - a straight forward snack Spicy wontons - 5/5 - pretty good flavor Walnut vegan prawns 5/5- nice; I'd get it again Satay beef chow mein - 3.5/5 - good but not impressed Orange vegan chicken - 4/5 - pretty good but it doesn't resemble Panda Express' version Satay taro pumpkin and vegan spareribs - 4/5 - pretty good but not sure I'd get again Bangkok fried rice - 5/5 - a favorite! Flavorful! I would get it again. Singapore vermicelli - 5/5 - pretty good vegan version of the original Ambience: Decent dining area. Standard design. Service: Only did take out, but no complaints!

Still delicious vegan food and Ben at the counter was so nice and knowledgeable. Best vegan wings and dumplings. Just yum! Noodle dishes are outstanding. All the flavor in every dish. Boba teas are 100% vegan and I love getting a Thai tea from here.

I ordered the vegan Kung Pow and it was excellent! Also had an iced tea/coffee with no boba and almond milk. I can tell you now that the options here are great! -Michelle

A very late review as we were there early August. Not being a Vegan the food was surprisingly excellent, we couldn't tell with some of the dishes that they weren't meat! The pumpkin and eggplant were especially yummy! Service was fantastic and Ben was so kind as we kept ordering more dishes for the 8 of us! The Mango boba was Amazing!

Very tasty food with a lot of options! The price was very reasonable for the quantity.

I stopped into Vegan Deadly Sins a little by accident. I was staying nearby for business and walked right by it. Vegan? Deadly Sins? Did I read that right? Sounds like the place for me. I stopped in my tracks and then went inside. The interior is nice and well lit. They have some menus overhead and some portable ones as well. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the kind service. The helpful employee asked me if I had any questions and if I needed help just speak up. At that point there were few people in the restaurant as I was kind of between lunch and dinner service. I ordered the General Tso's vegan chicken bowl and some spicu Ma Pao tofu, both for carryout. My order came out quickly, I'd say 5-10 minutes later. I really enjoyed the General Tso's bowl. The flavors were spot on, the vegan chicken texture was delicious and all the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The ma pao tofu could have used some more spice but it was tasty as well. I certainly will return given the chance.

    Curry Udon Soup

I've stopped into Vegan Deadly Sins a few times now and each time I've tried to order different items. On my latest visit I stopped in to grab takeout They're located on the corner of 15th and I, and there's plenty of street parking. Vegan Deadly Sins and E Tea are in the same building and use the same cashier as well as online ordering platform. It makes me think they market them separately so they can highlight that they're a full restaurant AND offer different fruit and milk teas. As far as I saw everything offered is vegan. On my latest visit I ordered the Curry Tofu Udon Soup ($13.99), and then ordered a Passionfruit tea ($5.50) and a Winnie the Pooh tea without the added toppings ($5.50) from E Tea. The staff was friendly and made sure my order was correct before putting it in, especially since I opted for no toppings in my drinks. I received a buzzer and found a seat in the restaurant to wait for my order. There is a good amount of seating and they have some cute decorations, including a little neon sign of a cow getting abducted by aliens. I had stopped in just after 2pm so it wasn't too busy. My food and drinks came out together and I took everything home to enjoy. When I unpacked everything I noticed my soup had spilled a bit during the drive- luckily they put it in a bag so it kept a mess from being made. The udon noodles were packed separately from the broth with veggies and tofu as well. I also found a bag with two sesame balls that were a little bonus- I've received these each time I've ordered food from them so it seems like this is a fun extra they offer to guests. The soup was tasty and the veggies were fresh and plentiful. Personally I would have liked my curry soup a bit thicker and the flavor more concentrated to be a hearty soup. As is it's light and healthy tasting and the broth allows the flavors of the veggies to shine through by not being over powering. I'm still working my way through the menu to find my favorites. This is definitely a solid spot for vegans and vegetarians. As an omnivore I have enjoyed my meals here too.

    Bugs in my food!

This place left me traumatized! I got takeout and my food had DEAD BUGS in it!! I couldn't believe my eyes because of the reviews but I had the proof. I had to walk back to return the food and get a refund. They really should check their containers and do a quality check before sending out food. But ultimately, there should be NO bugs anywhere in the kitchen! Overall bad experience from the wait time, to the bland taste and of course the bugs!

My meal! Plus two teas, brown sugar and mango.

It's good, but the flavors are not true to authentic Chinese cuisine. While some of the dishes (Veggie Fried Rice) have that authentic flavor, the others (Fried Chicken) are just not good or done right. In fact, don't get the Fried Chicken. As for the pies, the Banana Cream Pie was awesome. Actually, it was borderline Epic. The Chocolate Cream Pie was a miss. Too much cream and the chocolate didn't go well with the crust, which was too salty. While the banana pie hide the bad crust, the chocolate wasn't able to. The service was excellent. Prompt, attentive, and done well. The restaurant itself mimicked a very narrow club/ bar with some tables and dining behind. Felt like a darker and more expensive P.F. Chang's. I'd only go back for a slice of the Banana Cream Pie ($10), to go.

The good - my order was prepared quickly, and the amount of fish was very generous. The fish was tasty and spicy. The house chow mein that I also ordered had decent (read below) flavor. The bad - the salt and pepper fish had a great batter, but I feel they're battered too much, and the actual fish piece inside is tiny. My house chow mein didn't have a single shrimp in it. Lots of beef, which was good, but the char smell from the beef was the only thing you could taste on the noodles. It's almost like the chef cooked the noodles on whatever the beef was cooked on. The noodles we had ordered from here a month ago had very good flavor, but not a one note beef flavor. There was a lot of beef and chicken in the house chow mein, but zero shrimp means the cook either forgot or they didn't have them and thought it would be ok to add more beef. Either way, I paid extra for my selection, and didn't get it. Am I Pissy? Yes. Am I honest? Also a Yes. 3 stars this trip, probably my last.

Its been so bad the past decade that we decided to give it another chance. Different management, different chefs, different everything basically. The fried flounder was so fried that I could not separate the bones, not only that, you could barely get any meat out of it. Our table had nine people and they only provided 6 buns with our peking duck. I thought they didn't have enough steamer space and was going to bring more but nope. The shrimp in their salted egg pumpkin and shrimp dishes was overcooked and their deep fried pig intestines were extremely stinky. Their portion sizes downsized like crazy and it's so bad that we didn't even finish any of the dishes. The best dish was a stir fry cauliflower dish that I could make at home. It was supposed to come with pork, but I only saw itty bitty pieces of meat. The service was also super bad and slow. I was eating their fried rice and bit on a piece of broken yellow plastic with multiple sharp points. Prior to that, I was feeding my toddler the rice so THANKFULLY it didn't go to him. When we told the server, which was an older lady with glasses and bangs, she's like oh... then she took it to the kitchen and pretended that nothing had ever happened when she came back out. Shes been there for years, and I remember seeing her when we were regulars. I wasn't expecting anything, except for some accountability. I used to love this place so it's pretty sad to see how much it went downhill.... This business needs to be scrapped. The current 3 stars is giving them too much credit and it must have been due to when they used to be good, in the past.
