Not much brings me lunchtime joy like a good Indian buffet, and I had a great lunch experience here at India's Flame. The crowds were poppin so food was coming out frequently, hot, and fresh. I LOVED that they offer mango lassi - not every place does, and theirs tasted fantastic. Also loved the assortment of fresh chutneys. The garlic naan brought to the table was freshly baked and perfect. Service was great and my water was filled often! At first we were disappointed by the price and amount of food. Plus, we only got one container of rice for the two meals. Normally, you would expect two. However, the flavor of the Chicken Vindaloo and the Curry made us fans. So we will be trying some other dishes soon. read more

My fiancée and I were on one of our usual weekend excursions to run errands and were in the mood for something quick and satisfying for lunch. We had recently discovered another good Indian buffet (see our review of New India Gate on 4/2/19) and so we decided to give this one a try as it was more conveniently located on that particular afternoon. The staff were very friendly, prompt, an courteous and it was also obvious that some of the customers were regulars here as well. The buffet menu included a variety of popular Indian dishes, including Tandoori Chicken, Goat Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, and Green Bean and Potato Curry. Freshly made Garlic Naan was delivered to our table, which was included with the meal. The desserts included the standard Mango Custard and Gulab Jamun. Best of all, for me, was that, in addition to the self-serve Chai Tea dispenser, they also had Mango Lassi on the line. The food deserved three stars on its own, but add the economical price for their lunch buffet and the Mango Lassi and I believe they deserve four stars. read more

If you're looking for a solid Indian buffet, this place is 5 stars. The sign on the door says they do the buffet all day but I came here for lunch right and the price was $10.99. Right when you sit down, they ask if you want regular naan or garlic naan. I, of course, opted for garlic naan and it was incredible. It was very fresh as they don't give it to you until after you sit down. The selection at the buffet was better than any other Indian buffet restaurant I've been too and there wasn't anything I tried that I didn't want to get seconds of. I had the chicken curry, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala and the palak paneer. Everything was so fresh and had the best flavors. The chicken was tender and moist. Nothing felt like it had been sitting out too long. They also had a couple of drinks including Chai tea available as part of the buffet but I did not get a chance to try. I would be surprised if I found a better restaurant in this area. For the price and quality, it can't be beat. read more

Been to many an Indian restaurant & tried buffets from here to California - India Flame has skyrocketed immediately to top spots. Classy ambience, intimate but bright & modern. Bathrooms were clean-neat faucet. Buffet line fantastic & immaculate - I've never seen this many options out -including new ones not yet tasted: Flaky chunks of curried white fish and a mushroom-based masterpiece. Free naan delish -can have plain or garlic. Always do garlic. A sign of a good Indian buffet--are their tandoori & curries--both tender, juicy some of the best ever. Basmati rice was as good as most, would have preferred more buttery taste. They had two desserts. Rice pudding & sweet mango custard--and complimentary Indian hot tea. Service was excellent to boot. We have been struggling to find good Indian food in Phoenix. This place will defiantly be one of our go to places from now on. We didn't do the buffet, but it looked extremely good/popular. Ordered for the first time through Postmates and it was so good! Got an order of chicken biryani, tandoori chicken, and some garlic naan and all of it was AMAZING! The chicken in both dishes was so tender, not greasy, and full of flavor. The biryani was mildly spicy and so delicious. Prices were great for the portions too, I'm getting 2 meals out of my biryani and my hubby was stuffed after his tandoori chicken. We're very excited to try the buffet at some point too but in the meantime we'll definitely keep ordering takeout. read more

Really good buffet that isn't overpriced. The thing that sets India's Flame apart is the service, cleanliness, and quality of selection. Mango lassi and the best chai tea I've ever had (not exaggerating)! There are both meat and vegetarian options for entrees. I'm a meat eater, but honestly the vegetarian options were the best. Naan is served to the table. If I had any suggestions for improvement it would only relate to the spice of the food. It is pretty bland. Maybe provide a spicy option or chili paste to spice it up ourselves. The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon, so we obviously aren't the only people who love it. Another North Indian buffet with a few key differences. The flavors are more tame so my wife and kids like it here. There is a dinner buffet which is quite unique. I'm sure their menu items are just as good but my wife and I make it a point to align our day with eating at India's Flame when we are in that part of town. I can't say it's a gourmet delicacy, but I can say it's good tastin. Every time we go there, I stuff myself to the top. The buffet's food variety is decent. A little goat. A little vegetable dish. Some mango drink. Most of the time, they have the same items. So, when you visit the next time, you'll already know what's what. The wait staff is pleasant. Had dinner here last night with a friend who hadn't had East Indian food before.. the waiter made recommendations for her and described a couple different dishes so she could decide what to have. I have been moving all over the country the past couple years and it is always been important to find MY Indian fix. It's always hard to find a place that has good basmati rice, garlic naan, and chicken Tikka. It is so important to find the full package. Even one of those components being off can leave me feeling a bit sad. Not India's flame though! I think I have found my go to place for Indian food in the valley. I like to request my chicken tikka masala to be a spice lvl 7 and it is absolutely perfect. Leaves me feeling warm and comforted by the end of meal. I happened to be in the area and it was lunch time so I stopped at India's Flame. My first time there. They had a lunch buffet. I usually like these buffets at Indian restaurants. First, the positives. There was a reasonable variety of Vegetarian food, which was important to me. The Mango lassi and Hot tea were part of the buffet, which was great. The food was tasty And not very hot (spicy). The garlic naan was good. Now the negative. There was just one server and she was very unfriendly toward me. She could not smile or acknowledge me when I said thank you to her. After she had placed the water on my table, she acted like I was invisible. I noticed that she was friendly toward a couple who sat not far from me. So why couldn't she treat me in the same friendly manner? Was it because I went there alone? This restaurant did not provide separate spoons for the dessert. I had to use the spoon I had used for the spicy food, to eat the dessert, and I did not appreciate it. I wanted to ask the server for a fresh spoon for the dessert but she completely ignored me when she picked up my empty bowls and rushed away, so I couldn't ask her. I felt very offended. As a customer I expect to be treated well, whether I go there alone (as I did today) or with another person or with a large group of people. I will not go to this restaurant again and I cannot recommend this to others, based on my experience today. read more

This is my husband and I top choice about Indian restaurants, we love the atmosphere here. We usually come at lunch time, when they have buffet option, so we can eat everything, it's super duper delicious, to me. Especially its desserts, mango lassi and rice pudding are our favorite, I would have more than one if my stomach allows me, but my husband always gets triple times. Worst Indian restaurant that we've been to, I have no idea how this place has a rating above 2 stars. Been here twice, and both times the staff was beyond rude. We came back a second time to try their buffet, hoping the first time was just an isolated incident but were appalled by the staff, especially a waitress that wasn't even serving us, but stopped by to tell me I couldn't use their bowls for curries (unlike any other Indian restaurant). The food was below average and did not taste fresh. The naan came 15 minutes after we got our food from the buffet. Several items from the buffet were empty long before it was supposed to close. Judging by the other reviews, the naan and bowls issue seems to be common. My friends and I will never be back here. read more

My partner & I were starving after a few hours of shopping. We thought we'd indulge in something we don't have in Prescott: good Indian food. We waited patiently until they opened for dinner time and dragged ourselves in. We ordered some samosas & mushroom pakoras to start. Super delish. I'd like the mushrooms to have been a bit more crispy, but damn, those samosas were good. We decided to go the safe route of chicken tikka masala and chicken tandoori with rice, garlic naan & chili naan. Ahem. DELICIOUS. I have nothing else to say other than it's where we're heading when we make trips down to Phoenix. Already planning it in a few weeks. Mouth is watering just thinking about it.
