I figured wrong. There was a woman free at the counter so I went over and told her that I was looking for a specific pair of shoes and I just wanted to know if they had them in stock. I showed her the page with the information and she said that she didn't think they had any but she would look in the computer to double check. She couldn't find the item number on the page so I looked for it while she kind of sighed impatiently in the background. I finally found the item number and she let me know that they didn't have the shoes in stock but a nearby store did. I asked her to call and have them hold the shoes for me to make sure they weren't sold on my way over. Afterwards I asked for the address to the other store so that I could get the directions, not a very hard request if you ask me. She told me the general area it was in but not the address, I again asked if I could have the address so that I could put it in my GPS, she sighed unhappily again and reluctantly gave me the address to the other store. Let's just say that in the future I'm going to order my shoes online and wait for them to be shipped rather than be "helped" by someone who considers writing down an address difficult.

He literally went above and beyond for us and other customers all at the same time. I watched him as he helped us and greeted every customer that walked in..He didn't make us feel rushed, he had no problem running back and forth to get us different shoes and sizes. He gave us time to decide on what we wanted, he advertised the sale items. Took time to size my daughters foot, gave his opinion on colors and styles. The fitting process included a treadmill walking test and an insole fitting, which I appreciated and thought was helpful. However, the experience went downhill during the shoe selection. My normal shoe size is a 9, but the associate told me I needed an 11. I mentioned multiple times that an 11 felt way too big since I normally wear a 9 in running shoes. When I tried them on, they still felt too large, but I was told I could take them home, try them, and return them for a full cash refund if they didn't work out. After wearing them once to the gym, my feet were literally swimming in them--they were clearly the wrong size. When I returned to the store, I was told I could only receive store credit, not the cash refund I was told about during the purchase. As a customer, I should have trusted my instincts and stuck with my usual size. But as a sales representative, you also shouldn't mislead customers about return policies. That part of the experience was really disappointing. Because of that, I won't be returning to this location. 0/10 experience. Buckle's own policy only requires proof of purchase for in‑store returns, so I was uncomfortable being forced to give personal information that wasn't necessary. I provided it only because I was told the return couldn't be completed otherwise. I hope Buckle addresses this, because customers shouldn't be pressured to share private contact information for a basic return.
