Mixed plate with chicken tibs, beef tibs, lentils, greens, and salad served family style.

We love coming to Industry Cafe and Jazz! The live music is always fun and creates such a great vibe. Eritrean food is absolutely delicious--my favorites are the sambus appetizer, the doro wat chicken dish, and the spicy lentils. They are generous with their wine pours, and the imported Eritrean beer is definitely worth a try. And it's all so reasonably priced! The owner is awesome about offering recommendations if you're new to this style of food, and the staff is always so warm and welcoming when we bring our kids. Our younger two have sensory issues and no one bats an eye or hesitates to accommodate their needs, which is refreshing. Between the food, the drinks, and the live jazz, it's one of our favorite spots to spend an evening.

Incredible flavors accompanied by peaceful jazz. Came on a Thursday night where there was a live pianist playing a mixture of holiday songs and other popular tunes. Paired with the screen fireplace and incense burning it made for a perfect cozy ambience on a rainy day. The food was fantastic with tender meats and lots of flavor packed dishes. The lamb was our favorite and is a must try! The service was great with our server explaining the different foods and sides since it was our first time trying Ethiopian food.

This is a hidden gem! We found free street parking about a block away. If you have never had ethiopian food, this is a must. Walked in with my friend and they immediately serviced us. They usually play good jazz music in the background and on weekends they have live jazz music! We were walked through the menu to make sure we had a good understanding of the food. We ended up getting the Vegetarian Platter and the Doro Wat. They put it all together on the platter for us. This came with Injera bread, which is soft, rolled up, and has a slightly sour taste, similar to sourdough. They offered more to us later too! The flavors are so good! Lots a delicious seasoning. My favorite was the Doro Wat, which is a chicken dish. The chicken was SOOOO tender and teh sauce on it was delicious! At the end of the meal, they checked in and asked how we liked it. They were really friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try some other dishes here. I'd love to try the lamb next time!

This place rocks! The food is incredible, super lowkey and welcoming energy, and the Jazz is lovely. I should have taken a picture of the veggie platter and wings but I ate both too fast it was that good. Will for sure be coming back for jazz and injera

I came to listen to Jazz/Dennis Micheltree Quartet, that plays there once a month. Dennis is a multi talented sax player who plays at many big band (including Bill Holmam Big Band!) and this quartet futures his own composition. The vibe is like I am in a small club in New York or San Francisco! I ate the special veggies and chicken dish with a glass of Cab. I love to come here because of the staff members' warm welcoming manners and really relaxed laid-back atmosphere to enjoy music with no pressure!

When we got the bill, I was shocked to see that he had charged us for four (4) entrees !!!-- an extra $54 to add tofu to our plates! When we brought this up to the waiter, he didn't apologize or act as if anything was wrong, so I spoke to the owner, Genet -- and she was equally unapologetic! Her solution was for us to throw away one of the two containers of leftovers. I felt as if the waiter had been intentionally deceitful -- and when Genet backed him up, it seemed as if she was in on it, too.. (Apart from that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?) The food was good and the atmosphere was good -- Just be careful if they ask if you want to add tofu to your plate.

Great service and willing to assist, as all items appear to be out of regular dining options. Trust their recommendations! We had the vegetarian platter, a great way to sample all the side-mixing and matching. Our go/to is the dorowaht , similar to Mexican mole with a delicious taste profile. Tried the ribeye beef but it all honesty, the stars are the veggies.

My first time having Ethiopian food, and it was fantastic!…read more We ordered the vegan combo, doro wat, and beef awaze tibs. The vegan combo came with a bunch of flavorful things like stewed red lentils, stewed yellow split peas, Ethiopian salad, et cetera. I'm not vegan, but I would have been more than satisfied with just the vegan combo as it was delicious and filling. The doro wat - spicy braised chicken with a hard-boiled egg - was tender and tasty. I thought the beef dish was even better. The beef pieces practically melted in my mouth. And everything went great with the injera, which had a spongy texture that I found absolutely pleasing. The service was also wonderful. Before our meal, our server performed a hand-washing ceremony with rose water. And after we finished eating, we were presented with wet towels to clean our hands. Throughout lunch, our server kept our glasses of water filled. This place is a small intimate spot with very few tables, so reservations are strongly recommended.

Very very refreshing. We opted for the Vegan Sampler and the off menu, ribeye tibs. It was honestly perfect! The only thing we noticed was the portions on the sample platter were a bit small. Delicious with a wide verity, but we had to order two à la cart lentil dishes to balance it all out. Not a deal breaker by any means. We were glad to bring leftovers home. The prices were comprable to other Ethiopian restaurants we've been to, so no concerns there. Only thing I won't be ordering is the 12 dollar Pellegrino. That seemed excessively marked up considering the same bottle is $2.69 at Target or $3.50 at 7/11. We will definitely be back because the food and service were THAT good.
