We bought a car from Craig a year and a half ago. It was a great experience. The car needed a new headlight, which he was upfront about and even showed us links to good deals. He knew a lot about the car (Infiniti SUV). It was an easy transaction and we still love our car. I just got back on his site to see what other inventory he had since we are looking for another car for me this time, and thought I'd leave a review, even though I hate these reviews and believe a lot of people use them to crush small businesses when they don't get their way. I have worked in the Used Car/Auto repair Industry, in Carmel, for the last 15 years. The Owner of Indy Auto Source has experience, and a moral compass. He does his due diligence having cars checked out and Repaired and still recommends purchase of an extended warranty. All used cars are used cars because the previous owner was tired of them for some reason. Finding these things out some times takes driving the car under all different circumstances. That being said Craig at Indy Auto Source is your go to source for a used automobile. Buy the car, Buy the Extended Warranty, Drive it every day and try everything out. I guess my point is, do your due diligence, and your used vehicle purchase will be better than most. read more

Naught a 2002 Nissan Altima from Indy Auto Source, and ever since I naught the vehicle I have had nothing but constant issues with the car. It now is in a shop being related with $1100 worth of damage that took place before I naught the car. You receive a 30 day warranty along with any vehicle you buy from Indy Auto Source. When I sent my car back after purchase to Indy Auto with a list of things I found wrong with the car, they only fixed the tail light and it took over a week to fix! They gave me a $30 gift card because they couldn't fix the other 3 things wrong with the car. Later on I found out my AC compressor was bad and the pulley eventually was shot when I mentioned my AC was acting up in my warranty. Also my speedometer is off by 12 mph. $11000 I'm stuck with a piece of shit car they sold with a million and one issues. read more

We have purchased not 1 BUT 3 CARS from Indy Auto Source and have had exceptional service. After 1 week of buying the 1st car, my husband slid on some ice and it was totaled. They helped us work with the insurance company and found us another quality Honda. Won't drive anything else. Their cars are clean and the shop goes over them well to ensure all maintenance is up to date, or you are aware of what might need to be done. Highly recommend! read more

We moved to the area in 2014 and needed to find a trust worthy, reliable, local professional for our cars. I bought a car from this place back in July. Ive owned this car for only two months and now have an oil leak that is an estimated $1000-$1400 fix. I bought a car from a dealer expecting to not have to deal with these kinds of issues. I did not buy the warranty (because im a broke college student) because the lady I talked to said the car checked out, I TRUSTED this family run lot. I understand that they will not help pay for the fix but the fact remains that they sold me a bar car two months ago that I now have to dump more money into. DO NOT, I REPEAT, BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE, because you're probably getting a bad car. read more

As part of the process, I've been to this location of CarMax twice to explore vehicles I found on their website. My needs, because of my disability, are very specific. Unless I try to go to a van (which I considered), I'm mostly looking for a 2-door automatic with enough space that I can slide my wheelchair into the backseat. Simple? Not so much. Coupes aren't trendy these days, and the coupes that are around are either older, high mileage, or way too small for the wheelchair need. If you know this CarMax, you know it's a rather large lot right off the corner of 96th and Gray Road. As you likely know, East 96th Street has several car dealers and it's a great place to start if looking for a car from a Hyundai to a Bentley. CarMax does one of these things I despise, first of all. You can't actually access the lot without sales support. I got the feeling that most people contact them prior to arrival, but I tend to be a "show up" person - that's especially true right now since I'm dependent on a ride and never know when that will happen. When it does, I go. Both times I've been here, I've had specific cars in mind. However, I've also explained my needs. While I accept that wheelchair using drivers are somewhat in the minority, I am always a little baffled when a sales associate can't comprehend the idea of a 2-door automatic. They do exist. When I come on your lot with specific vehicles in mind, simply let me see the vehicles. I got the vibe they felt I was wasting their time. Was this a bad experience? Not really. Was it a good experience? Not really. It was just sort of "meh." Despite a couple visits, I've sort of scratched CarMax off my list. Maybe if I were buying exclusively online, it would be idea. But, as a driver with a wheelchair I just have to know the wheelchair will work. So, I have to show up in person. Once I did that, this place really lost me. I know there are people who swear by CarMax. More power to them, but as someone who needs a little extra in the buying experience this is definitely not a place that seemed to want my business.

Also, if you are looking to get a big part, or a bunch of parts, they have wheelbarrows you can use, or golf carts you can rent for $5/hr ($20 deposit). The $2 yard entry fee was interesting...not sure why they'd charge me to look, but it's only $2. Also if you sign up for their free vip program you get two free entries and $1 entries after that.

Purchased a 2013 Honda Odyssey that was listed online. I called for additional information on the vehicle - i.e. scratches, dents, etc that might not show in the pictures etc. Craig was very honest about everything. There was apparently a scratch on one of the doors that indeed did not show in the images and he had it repaired and sent images of the repairs before we arrived to see the van. The remote for the entertainment system was found to be missing when we arrived on the lot. Craig ordered a replacement and had it sent to our home after we purchased. There was no haggling, no doc fees - just a straight forward, honest purchase. I don't expect perfection from a used car or for there to be no mistakes or misunderstandings with a deal. I do expect to be treated fairly and honestly and that is definitely what Craig and his family did. Despite being a 2 hour drive, I will definitely look to purchase from them again the next time we are shopping for a vehicle. We bought a 2007 Ford Edge from Craig at Indy Auto Source a month ago. Best decision we ever made. This is not a typical car dealer. Craig cares about his customers and his reputation as a fantastic dealer! He responds to your emails, tells you anything he did to the cars, points out any flaws which are few if any.
