I visited the new location on UTSA Blvd! They were very welcoming and awesome even though they hadn't officially opened yet. The new site is such a gorgeous venue! The UTSA students are so lucky to have amazing, tasty coffee nearby. I live a bit further away... So it's quite a trek for me. I was a regular at their coffee truck when it was on Huebner and Vance Jackson. When I saw the Gallito food truck there instead, I was terribly sad not to have my cortado. Starbucks opened there on the opposite corner, but they just don't have what I crave (Indy's cortados). So I drove on. I love the ambience of this place. It may get packed during the week at times, but on the weekend early mornings, it's so nice and the courtyard is quiet. Had read some pretty good reviews about this place and the reviews are legit. My daughter had the green tea mocha and I had my favorite coffee drink Cappuccino. The cappuccino was excellent and I haven't had a good cup of cappuccino like this for very long time and my daughter liked her green tea mocha too. Tons of college students here since it's very close to UTSA (Go RoadRunners) and I am pretty sure there is free WI FI I didn't care to check cause I was more interested in the coffee and having some good conversation with my daughter. The place is kinda of small and seating is limited,but there is some seating outside too if you don't mind the UTSA Blvd traffic. The service here was great and the place has a cool vibe and it's relaxing here,anyways I will be back to try the recommended Dirty Brown by my CockTail Queen LOL. read more

Their house coffee is always just right and the food is delicious. The regular weekday bites are so flavorful; love the greek yogurt and granola combo and the biscuits for their sandwiches are perfectly fluffy and buttery. I noticed they serve brunch this past weekend and the hash, although a rather meek offering, is soooo yummy and completely foodie. Great study place with excellent drinks! I would recommend the tropical green tea. It's sweet even without sweetener! They have a wide selection of coffees as well. Plenty of outlets, and there is an outdoor patio area as well for studying outside. The only bummer is most of the chairs don't have backs to go with the industrial feel. Indy coffee my favorite coffee shop in San Antonio by far! If I could I would go everyday. The espresso drinks are so delicious I never have to add sugar. The coffee/espresso beans they use are the best compliments to Parlor! It's natural sweet substance creates a prefect balance of flavor on the tongues palette. The atmosphere has a hipster feel to it but in a subtle way. I love the retail items they sell as well I can spend a lot of money here. Have not tried the food but I heard good things. It is home to local college students of UTSA Roadrunners and a lot of students stop by for studying and a coffee rush. The more the merrier! First off I would like to thank Indy Coffee for using lactose-free milk for all of their drinks! It's always such a pain being charged extra whenever I have to substitute for coconut milk since I'm lactose intolerant. I love the chill atmosphere and their simple decor. My favorite drink of all time from them is their iced matcha latte. I have yet to find another coffee shop that tops their version. It's delicious with the perfect amount of milk and authentic matcha. I know its a popular choice with their customers since there's been a couple times when they ran out of matcha powder. In those times I would pick up their dirty brown which is another delicious choice whenever I want coffee instead of matcha. Overall a great place to pick up a drink before heading to classes! The only complaint that I would have is that their prices are not presented clearly on the wall, which is their menu. read more

how did the hipster burn his tongue? he drank his coffee before it was cool. vibe: hipster. perfect if you'd like to escape san antonio for an afternoon and pretend you're in austin. :] volume: loud. pretty heavy rock-ish music that you kinda have to almost-yell to talk over. definitely need to step outside if you need to take a phone call. not ideal if you prefer quieter study environments. i'd say this is more of a hang out or causally get some busywork done kind of place vs. a hardcore cramming for finals type of coffeeshop. temperature: unfortunately, freeeezing cold. :[ even with a fleece jacket. this + volume are probably the main reasons i can't really study here. otherwise, i'd probably visit a lot more! internet: slow-ish. might have been bc there were a ton of people there when i visited. and it kept kicking me off the network-- maybe every 15-30 min (and would take multiple attempts to reconnect). seating: limited, especially during exam weeks. i got lucky and walked in just as someone was leaving-- otherwise, i would have had to get my drink to go and head home bc literally every other chair was taken! soo popular. outlets: good amount near the tables but not in the couch area. there are outlets in the bookshelf area, so if you're sitting on the couch, you can keep an eye on your stuff as it charges, but can't really use your laptop while it charges. drinks: coco loco (vanilla latte + coconut oil) was definitely good-- smooth espresso with a subtle and unique flavor profile and not overbearingly sweet. i was trying to enjoy it but i guess i didn't down it quick enough bc the oil soon separated out and looked super gross, and then hardened bc it was so cold inside the coffeeshop... (also bc the drink wasn't all that hot to begin with, but i didn't mind bc i like getting my drinks at a temp that is immediately drinkable!) they offer a good number of other unique-sounding drinks that i'd like to eventually try. wish their menu would explain their drinks a little more though, so i wouldn't have to ask what half of them were haha. i also asked about any specials but they didn't have any that day. latte art: yup! price: $$$$ (especially given that the drinks are fairly small) so not super student-friendly, but hey, nobody said the cool factor was free. oh and no prices on the menu, so not so ideal if you're on a budget. location/parking: kinda weird that it's located sorta in an apt complex, but upside is plenty of parking in the garage out back. would love it if they opened a location in the med center! overall: a welcome addition to the sa coffee scene! not quite a good place to study, but the espresso drinks are definitely unique and on par with the best coffeeshops in town. read more

Man this place is awesome! I'm not usually a huge fan of coffee but I tried some from this place and it was really good. I tried both the Coco Loco and the Fruity Pebble Cappuccino. Both were great. The fruity pebble cappuccino is made from milk that is steeped in fruity pebbles for 24 hours and i could really taste the fruity pebbles. It was great. The atmosphere of this place was also awesome. The bar area is definitely the centerpiece of the place and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making it look that way. I'm from Austin so I've been to my fair share of coffee shops and Indy definitely is on par with some of the best ones I've been to. Definitely recommend this place! read more

This is a review based on two separate visits; one on a weekday and one on a weekend. I'm not much of a coffee fan, so much of my impression is based mostly on the food. The first time I went, I had the avocado toast which I enjoyed. I also had an iced latte which tasted like pretty much every other iced latte I'd ever had. The second time I went because I wanted to try their brunch options. I had the affogato pancakes. They were priced at $11 which seemed fair until the plate actually came out and I realized how small the pancakes were. There were 3 pancakes about 3 inches in diameter each. Compared to most other brunch places in SA, this is like half the portion for the same price that you would pay for 3 huge pancakes plus sides. There was a small scoop of ice cream on top and the waiter poured a shot of espresso on the pancake when he brought it to table. I also ordered an ice tea, but had I realized a regular glass of iced tea was going to be $3, I would've thought twice. It would be nice if they put prices next to the drinks on the menu so people know what they are signing up for. All in all the food is decent, but definitely not worth the prices that they charge for it. read more

Great house coffee. Very low acidity, so you know they're taking their time to brew it. Avocado toast was a great breakfast. Solid homemade bread, the whole slice covered in mashed avocado, then grape tomatoes, red pepper flakes and queso fresco, topped with a sous vide egg. read more
