Our neighbor has ficus trees and tree of heavens that require a good trimming every one to two years to maintain a nice view from our south-facing windows. I contacted Inexpensive Tree Services through Yelp, and quickly arranged for a same-day estimate. They gave me a very reasonable quote and were able to schedule the work for a couple days later. The crew showed up on time, and began the work right away. I was really impressed with the skill it takes to safely climb the trees, which have to be over 20 ft tall growing from the hill below, and the amount of work it took to trim back all of the trees and do a great cleanup job not only at our house, but the two neighbors' homes as well. Overall I was very pleased with the job. They gave me a good price, they showed up when they said they would, did great work with the trimming and cleanup. What more can you ask for? If you're looking for a tree cutting service look no further, seriously. Hands down the BEST SERVICE ever!!!! There aren't enough words to give this company as much praise as it deserves. I called last week and next day, Ralph was at my house doing an inspection on which trees I needed trimmed (more like cut cause they were beyond overgrown). He was friendly & very professional and before he left he gave me a quote. I thought it over (took 5 mins to realize this is a no brainer) and then called the office to schedule an appointment. From there, I was able to have a crew scheduled to come out within a week. Let's just say the quote was 50% less than another company I had called for a quote. I appreciate the fact that they had someone come out to physically inspect the trees vs just sending pictures via text. The crew came out today to cut the trees and they were the nicest guys!!!! Also, Juan called to let me know the guys had arrived & next thing you know they're ringing my door bell. The little things I appreciate LOL. Literally 3 trucks and I would say 10 guys did the job. The were super efficient with their time (took about 2 hours), did an INCREDIBLE job and even asked for our opinion to make sure we liked the trees/we were happy. Made 2 appointments for estimates and both times they didn't show. ***in response to the owners reply to my review*** Owner/Juan was not the person who called me or answered my return phone call during the initial appointment on Thursday.....and if you are the one replying to these Yelp messages, you were advised before the appointment I could not be home that day, acknowledged that info, and stated someone would still stop by to provide the estimate. Your employee didn't know I wouldn't be home and said he would let the office know and have someone call me to set another appointment. No one called. As for returning the next day (which would have been a Friday), didn't happen. No one came and no estimate was emailed. I had to message you the Sunday after the initial missed appt. If you had already stopped by and given me the estimate there would've been no need to make an appointment for Monday. The only estimate ever provided to me was after my review, which was still $600+ more than any other 4 to 5 star business I called and showed up. read more

This company has some really earnest and enthusiastic reviews. I am going to add another one. We had a job done this morning to remove palm fronds and seeds from nine palm trees, remove a dead tree and stump and trim some other trees. They brought a crew of 10 people. The foreman's name was Albert, who is absolutely stellar along with everyone in the crew. It's very clear that they enjoy working together. They are extremely well coordinated and careful. They took a lot of care to protect the turf in the yard and the neighboring cars as well as my iron gate from the falling fronds. Albert was really helpful in updating me as the work progressed so that we could make adjustments as needed. The job was also reasonably quoted and the additional work that was needed stayed within the pricing. I checked with some other companies, and this one was definitely the strongest in terms of price. I can't imagine another company exceeding this quality of work. They took great care as well in cleaning up. Front office was very well organized and helpful. I will definitely be calling on them again going forward and cannot recommend any more highly. read more

When Inexpensive Tree Service trimmed the tall ficus hedge at my house on April 22 I thought they did a very good job, and that day I posted an excellent review on Yelp as they asked me to do. The following day my gardeners pointed out to me that they did NOT do a good job, as the hedge viewed from the side, which I had not done, was very uneven. I called the company immediately and requested that someone come to discuss the issue, and I sent photos. I was told they would get back to me. No response after a few days, called again, was told by the receptionist that she was waiting to hear from the crew. No response and a week after that I was then told no one was available to deal with this and the entire crew would be away from then until May 7, and someone would contact me then. No followup occurred. I have called repeatedly and left messages since May 8 and no calls have been answered and no messages returned. It is now May 21. My next communication will be with the Better Business Bureau. The service was not exactly "inexpensive" and their inadequate work and lack of communication makes me sorry I hired them. read more

Sent a request thru Yelp to help my parents get a free estimate to have numerous trees and brush removed from the hillside behind their house. It is a rather large area on a slope with almost two years worth of growth. An appointment was made days later and Mario came to survey the area and an estimate was given. Four other companies were also contacted to compare prices, but Inexpensive Tree Service ended up being just that..."inexpensive" compared to the others. Plus they are licensed and bonded. Once a date was set, Mario and four other workers came promptly @ 7am and finished at approximately 1:30 pm. All trees were cut down and shredded and the brush removed and hauled off. Other companies stated it would be a two day job, but I.T.S. completed it in less than a day.
