He also didn't know how to program (hence why I spent forever learning and doing for him). Jim doesn't even need instructions manuals. They were hired by my property manager to add a deadbolt to a garage hinged side door above the…read moreexisting original doorknob/lock assembly that was to remain. I did not want this to be removed. The added deadbolt was to be installed above the original knob/lock. Kern instead did unauthorized actions. Kern completely violated the agreement and instruction, and stole my original doorknob/lock and will not return it to me, and will not even return my requests for a contact back, with these requests coming from both me and from the maintenance supervisor with the property management company. They must return my property to me that they never should have stolen, and another company will have to correct all of this as per my original instructions that never should have been violated. Update Oct 28 2025: This company refuses to return the stolen item, and is not addressing the other issues which include but are not limited to the fact that they "deviated" from the instructions and terms of the work order at their own whim, and did so without the required contact to the property manager for owner approval of any possible changes. Update Oct 29: KK continues to not explain why they discarded the perfectly working original doorknob after wrongfully removing it, all of which they did in defiance of the work order, and without authorization, why they stole the owner's property, why they did not follow the work order instructions and terms of contacting the management company supervisor as agreed if there were any issues or questions, and the solution offer has been declined for weeks and they do nothing to address the issues that they continue to ignore.
