Complementary hot sauce carrier that comes with your order
    Reagan N.

This was pretty good. If I hadn't eaten at cornbread cafe (Eugene) recently I might have liked it better. The waffle was the best thing we ordered. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of greens. Sadly the greens were too salty to eat. The biscuits were hard and crumbly, not soft and while the gravy was good, there wasn't much of it and not nearly enough to soak into the hard biscuits. The tofu scramble was weird. It was minced tofu and. It crumbled, flavorless and extremely oily. I didn't know you could do tofu scramble wrong. The chickpea sausages were too burnt/fried to have much flavor. My husband also ordered the breakfast sandwich which he thought would have been better on an English muffin instead of 2 hard biscuits that broke apart the second he took a bite. I did love the hot sauce carrier they brought over! The sauces were all great. The do a good Bloody Mary as well. We would stop here again, probably. I did think the staff was awesome.

I was not sure what to expect when my son chose The Space for his birthday meal. I was above impressed. The food is absolutely AMAZING! We both had the smothered tators (only I did not have the tators, hollendaise or gravy on mine) I'm almost speechless at the deliciousness of this dish. The kale was cooked to perfection with a very great flavor to it. The tofu was full of flavor and the salsa was exceptional. My son had the gravy and hollandaise on his with the tators and he said his had a bit of a spicy kick to it and he really loved it! The vibe was kicked back and chill. I felt like I could really relax there The service was top notch. I will be back. I think we found our new Sunday brunch spot!

Vegan coffee creamer in adorable pitcher

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING: I live in Portland and have been following The Space on Instagram. In addition to their exceptional late night music scene, their weekend brunches always look so inventive and amazing. I had to make the drive JUST to try it. I was absolutely blown away! I ordered the Smother Plate (because it has a little of everything and I HAD to try EVERYTHING). I was so excited when my plate came, filled to the brim with vegan delights! It's so rad to have a full brunch as a gluten-free vegan! Even my meaty compadres were satisfied. I'd definitely make the trip again JUST for this brunch. Their chefs are always developing new specials and I can't wait for my next meal here! Oh, and the COFFEE was PERFECTION. The server even asked us which TYPE of vegan creamer we preferred (mind blowing) and delivered it in this adorable little pitcher! The Space is a rare and precious gem! Can't wait for the next time!

This place is so cool! No shows happening right now, but they still have take out and trust me, it's worth it! We got their rad donuts and it was a fun experience considering the lobby/to-go area was so cool and fun to wait it. Their donuts are amazing! The service was also super good too. I want to hangout here all the time now and stuff my face with donuts. I can't wait until they can bring back shows again. I'm always excited to try their other food soon too! These donuts are so fresh, warm, and fluffy. I can't wait to try other new donuts they have! My favorite so far is the Irish Cream one! Mmm!

Side salad. The agave mustard dressing was really good.

We spent an overnight in Salem and had both dinner and brunch here. Our favorite things were the donuts (actually the best I've had in a while) cauliflower wings with liquid sauce, classic burger with bean patty and tofu rancheros. The bean patty was surprisingly tasty, with a crispy exterior that gave a nice crunch to my burger, just the way I like it. The burrito could have used some veggies or perhaps more beans, though it was tasty. Takeout was in compostable containers. Service was a bit slow at night as they were quite busy, but they have very nice staff and a chill ambiance. We'd stop here again.

Been waiting for this location to open since 2020! The merging of two locations into one local Salem hub, is genuinely so exciting. The new spot for comedy and music, if you're a performer or a prospective audience member - you'll really dig The Infinity Room. Vegan menu, huge selection of drinks, and quality comics and musicians! They have weekly events too, so plenty of time to get in there. Pack the house!

There's normal tables, taller stools for window seating, and a few couch chairs too. The person that helped me at the counter was super helpful. There are lots of options with desserts, pastries, toast, bagels, sandwiches, soups, parfaits, and whole meals like biscuits and gravy. They have a good amount of vegan and gluten then friendly alternatives too. The prices were a steal for the portions I got -especially the toast and chia pudding. The coffee was also pretty good, nothing to write home about. I'll have to come back to try some of their bagels next time.

The primary problem was that they were out of many menu items by 6pm. The dining room is cool with a nice vibe, super friendly waiter and food came from the kitchen pretty quickly. Pimento cheese appetizer was delicious, one of the better versions I've had. Unfortunately the Pierogi were pretty bland and nothing special, and for the high price, just not worth it. Weird arrangement with the coffee shop located in the restaurant as well. Restaurant was out of desserts and coffee, but could not serve any of the desserts from the coffee shop case, as those were part of the coffee shop. Despite that, we will be back next time we visit Salem, and I'm sure they will figure out how to manage supply of food items better so they are not sold out before 6pm. Lots of potential here for a small neighborhood restaurant.

A noticeable decline at Marco Polo Global Restaurant…read more It is with genuine disappointment that I share how significantly Marco Polo Global Restaurant has changed--and not for the better. Having been a loyal patron for years, I was unaware that the restaurant had undergone an ownership change approximately one year ago. Unfortunately, the shift in management has been accompanied by a marked decline in both service and food quality. Service Concerns Table service fell well below expectations. Our server did not introduce herself, nor did she demonstrate any gestures of hospitality throughout the meal. Twice, plates were handed to us stacked, leaving the guests to distribute them ourselves--an approach inconsistent with professional table service. Water glasses were never refilled, and there was a general lack of attentiveness to our table. Menu Changes The menu has been reduced to a simple two‑sided laminated sheet, a stark departure from the former Marco Polo menu that once offered an impressive variety of thoughtfully curated dishes. Food Quality The food, regrettably, did not meet even basic standards: Singapore Noodles: The most disappointing dish of the evening. I shared my feedback with the server, who later reported that the cook had not seasoned it properly and offered to remake it. We declined. Salad Rolls: Flavorless, with a peanut sauce that was thin, cold, and lacking depth. Broccoli with Tofu: The broccoli was overcooked, wilted, and visually unappealing. The dish was marginal at best. Green Beans with Garlic: Cooked adequately, but lacking seasoning and overall flavor. Vegan Pot-stickers: The one bright spot--excellent texture, well‑prepared, and accompanied by a flavorful sauce. Overall Atmosphere The ambiance felt tired, and the restaurant appears to have lost the vitality and care that once made it a thriving local favorite. Based on our experience, it seems clear that both the kitchen and front‑of‑house staff would benefit from renewed training and leadership. Our server confirmed that the business changed hands about a year ago, and unfortunately, the decline is evident in nearly every aspect of the dining experience. We will not be returning, and it saddens me to say so--Marco Polo was once a beloved establishment in the community.
