Amy was fantastic! Food was great as always but the server/bartender made the night! Perfect way to finish a day out on the water.

Coming back from Homer in Mid September and most places were closed after tourist season is over .. decided to give this place a try after reading the reviews. Definitely a mom and pop old school nothing fancy no frills, but great positive vibe and great food. My father in law and I had the same thing (he copied me) BLT with avacado on sour dough with clam chowder, it was excellent. Hubby had a hamburger and said it was good and mother in law chicken strips. Soda in a can was odd, waiter was very laid back and friendly and overall 5*. I don't care for the food but they have a bar and I have heard people like it! Im pretty sure they only offer food because they are a bar. So I would say just go have a beer and ask the locals for the fishing spots!! read more

The food is soooo good. We made it just in time for breakfast and it was amazing. Our server was super sweet too.

Never judge a book by its cover nor this restaurant by the exterior. Wonderful chowder, worth the rainy day stop.

I've been past here many times and did not stop. This weekend we are Camping at anglers RV park and it's in walking distance and decided to stop in. Very friendly staff. We started with fried mushrooms, which were great. I had the chicken fried steak and my better half had the chicken strip basket. Both were delicious, beer on tap was cold and fresh. Enjoyed lunch here on the way to Homer. The chicken salad was delicious and fresh. The black bean salad was as well. The restaurant was clean and so was the women's room. Prices were reasonable. I would stop again. read more

Oh dear. Go somewhere else if you value good food and a clean place to eat. If you are female, the women's toilet is so small and close to the floor you have trouble getting to your feet. No grab bar, either. Give it a miss unless you are starving and don't care about dirt. read more

What an odd spot. First thing I noticed: NICOTINE. I was blasted with the smell of cigarette-smoked cigarette smoke. My jacket smelled like smoke for hours afterwards, and I was only in here for about 5 minutes. How has no one else mentioned this? I went into the liquor store side. You can't touch the alcohol until you buy it. You have to browse and point from the safety of a counter. Why? Who knows. I asked the attendant, she had no idea either. Is it a Ninilchik law? It's definitely not an Alaska law. Selection of beer was mediocre. Prices were decent. read more

We stopped here for breakfast in the morning on the way to go dipnetting. The biscuits and gravy were pretty gross. They were definitely can biscuits, but they had some kind of weird herbed butter on them. The flour-flavored gravy was smothered all over the biscuits. Very disappointing. The omelette we had was a little better. Not sure about the dinner or lunch quality, but we will not be returning for breakfast at any point. read more

My partner and I were on a weeklong vacation in Alaska and spent most of our mealtimes at the Inlet View. First, as the name suggests, the Inlet view from the restaurant was BREATHTAKING. Coming from the south, we don't see terrain like that. Every meal came compliments of the view. As for the meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner we're all spot on. Like a traditional, small town diner, or cozy restaurant would have. I can see why the locals flock to this spot. The employees were very welcoming and attentive. We were there during there off season, but you wouldn't know by the service. Attentive, thorough, and on point. The food was great, and generous, especially for the price point. A couple of times we went next door to the bar, and were greeted by Mike, where he was quick with a drink and a story about the locals. I can't wait to go back during the peak season in the summer. read more

The Inlet is a small bar and cafe that is better than it looks like it would be. If you're sensitive to smoke, definitely go to the cafe side, you can still orders drinks there. The food is actually pretty good, the Halibut bites appetizer is way worth it. Honest to goodness solid bar food. Not the place to go for a full dining experience, but a great place to refuel after lots of fishing. read more

1 star was being generous. The food is crap! I got food poisoning twice! Yes, I was stupid enough to go back. The toilets are side by side in the bathroom with no wall in between. The drinks are at rip off prices that seem to change depending on someones mood. The owners don't seem to treat to their employees very well. It is a bar. They serve alcohol. Avoid the food, even fried, at all costs. Try the Arctic Tracks down the road for a good bite to eat in Ninilchik. Otherwise, hold off until Anchor Point or Homer for food & fun! read more

Good restaurant food. Way to much smoke in the bar but restaurant side smoke free. Breakfast was excellent. Try the fishermans breakfast

They actually have really good food here. Best so far on the kenai peninsula. I would have given the food 5 stars but the building is fairly run down and they can smoke at the bar so I took a star off for that. read more

I've been there a few times now and each time the food has been great. The location is great, with a beautiful view. The service was good and the clam chowder is superb. I'd definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a bite to eat and a nice place to sit down in Ninilchik. read more

I used to eat here 30 years ago when I worked at the seafood plant here. The last 10 years we swing by here to grab a burger after fishing. Burgers are good. They always taste good because we are usually starved. The negative reviews though spaced years apart seem like overkill. it's not fine dining, but I've never had any issues here. read more

I probably shouldn't expect much from such a small town, but this was truly bad. I ordered (can't remember exactly) something like a turkey & bacon sandwich... I even asked if the sandwich was a decent size. From the very unenthusiastic waitress, the response was "yes". It boldly was not. I paid $14 (FOURTEEN dollars) for a sandwich I could have made for $2 at home. To be fair, they did give me a side of fries however. Environment is okay (view of the Inlet is always a plus), but for goodness sakes man... for a sandwich I could have EASILY made at home, with standard size bread slices that you buy at any local grocery store, that was a complete rip. A little class would be nice inside as well. They could atleast buy some new utensils - spots all over them and very cheap. Food was good, but nothing special. Comon' guys. Show some TLC and justify your prices better, and you'll have people flowing in. People don't forget that, especially in such a small town. 1.5 stars read more
