Apparently housekeeping is done every three days. So a two day stay means your room doesn't get cleaned at all. Trash cans not emptied, beds not made, etc. I was told this was "covid policy." That's a cop out excuse! I fresh towels myself downstairs at 10:15 at night. You needed lots of towels since the shower curtain is about 3 inches too short. Water everywhere on the small bathroom floor. Not worth the expense to get this level of service read more

We needed a place to stay since we were going to a party nearby. This hotel was recommended by the party hostess and Im so happy we listened. The location it's great since there are plenty of things around even walking distance like shopping and food. We were warmly greeted at check in and it was a breeze. Our room was perfect and it even had a microwave and mini fridge, we didn't get to use them but it's a nice to have them just in case. They also offered a complimentary breakfast which was pretty good, bagels, muffins, hot oatmeal, boiled eggs, cereal, waffles and biscuits. This was a very extensive meal and it was free which was awesome. They also had a crock pot at the lobby with complimentary chili which I thought it was a very sweet touch in this cold weather. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. read more

What a nice stay! Everything was clean! The front desk was helpful. What you would want out of a hotel. There were two flat screen tvs, a pull out couch, coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. This was an extremely unpleasant experience. In town for a surgical procedure, so booked a handicap room. It was filthy and every aspect of it was run down. We stayed one night, only because it was late and we were tired from a day of driving, and booked one of the neighboring hotels (for the same price, and top notch quality) Do not stay here. Staff is nice checking in. I asked for extra blankets. Had to retrieve.There was no water pressure in the sink or shower. There was no complimentary breakfast. They start at 7:30 we were there after 7:30am there was bread for toast. Two people trying to set up. No one at the front desk to check out. Ok the room was tiny but nice. The curtains need work. When I review a hotel, I like to take its value into consideration. Is this place as good as a top-of-the-line hotel chain? No. But it also costs a lot less than $400 a night, and I found the Inn at Wilmington to be a great value. So I'm giving this place five stars for the following reasons: - Without getting into any details, let's say that I was having a pretty bad day when I arrived. They had a cold water dispenser with oranges when you arrived, with a plate of soft cookies for their guests. And when those were gone, they were magically whisked away and replaced with multi-colored miniature cheesecakes. - The guy behind the counter was incredibly helpful. He told me that I could use the pool at the Marriott next door (the one time I didn't bring a bathing suit...) and that I could get a discount at TGI Friday's across the way. - The rooms are well-appointed, with cute papaya shampoos & soaps (I'm a sucker for hotel soaps!) - There was a Kuerig machine in the rooms, as well as a fridge, a microwave, a big flat screen, and a cute little couch. Let's just say that after settling in to the free wi-fi, using their gym to get my endorphins going, taking a nice, warm bath, and snuggling under their squishy covers, I felt a whole lot better. I hope the breakfast tomorrow morning doesn't disappoint. read more

To be honest, we just stayed here in Wilmington so that we could say we "did" Delaware while on a mini-vacay along the East Coast. While we really didn't do anything in the area, the hotel was great for the night. PROs: + Cheap. + Ample free parking. + Free WiFi in the room. + Free breakfast. It was your basic hotel breakfast (bagels, waffle iron, etc). Nothing special, but nice to have. + No bed bugs! The room and the hotel in general seemed clean. + By far the fastest, easiest check-in/check-out I've ever had, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels. THAT'S how you do it! + Hotel is close to all things suburbia. Lots of chain restaurants, Walgreens, etc. + Easy highway access if you're just passing through. CONs: - You're in Wilmington (sorry)! This was a nice, clean, basic hotel and we had an enjoyable stay. read more

It's not the Ritz, but it's much cheaper. And for what I was using it for (sleeping) it did the trick. The staff was courteous and helpful. The free breakfast was more than offered most other places. The rooms have refridgerators, microwaves, coffee makers and free internet. I was there for two weeks and never got iritated by anyone there. read more

This is a nice hotel and we have stayed there in our past visits to Delaware; however, as I needed to book a couple dates in July around a visit to Delaware, we were hit with two unexpected fees of $14.99 for each booking through the Inn at Wilmington's online booking service (www.reservations.com). This was not properly disclosed on the Inn at Wilmington's website, so be aware BEFORE you book any travel with this hotel. (Note: as I could not address my discontent through this website and the Inn at Wilmington uses them, I am writing my lack of unhappiness here.) read more

I thought this was a great hotel for the value in the area. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and made our visit quick and easy. The room its self was nice and comfortable and i had no complaints about it. The rest of the hotel is decent although i did not explore much, the breakfast buffet is a basic free breakfast although the tables were all full when i was there so we had to take our food back to the room. If you are stopping in town i think this is a decent place to stay. read more

Hotel itself is pretty comfortable; the rooms are not spacious but mine was clean and everything works fine. BUT on what planet can you advertise "wireless" and offer a horrible system that kicks you off repeatedly, is horribly slow, and DOES NOT WORK WITH APPLE PRODUCTS? I mean, that's insane. I've gotten my laptop to work, but the system keeps kicking me out. Don't expect to get any work done if you are using a Mac! Their own systems seem to need an upgrade, too; the woman checking people in was very nice, but the system required her to type everything (credit card info, etc.) in separately (even when I had reserved and pre-paid) so check-in took much longer than it should have to. Hotel is fine, but they desperately need a technology upgrade--stat. read more

I recently stayed here during a wedding and was very pleased with my stay. I did feel like I paid a little too much for the room, about $120/night, which I felt was a little steep, but the rooms were clean and well furnished, staff were pleasant and helpful and the free breakfast was quite generous. It wasn't a gourmet meal, and I was told to avoid the Jimmy Deen microwavable breakfast sandwiches which were apparently quite nasty. But I had the hard boiled eggs, yogurt and mini-bagels which were all good. There was even a waffle maker, which seemed to be having technical difficulties as I saw a couple prying out bits of the waffle the woman had tried to make but got stuck on the iron like cement. read more

This place needs an overhaul . The room had stains on the floors, walls and tub. The air conditioner barely worked and just needed a good general cleaning . There are a lot of restaurants in the area as well as other hotels . Maybe I just stayed on a bad day but I would try to stay somewhere else next time I'm in the area . read more

Nice hotel, features your run of the mill creature comforts like wifi, breakfast and newspaper delivery. Rooms are decently equipped with flat screen TV, microwave, fridge and ironing board. Would stay again for a weekend getaway. Nice perk to get 15% off of the local TGI Fridays restaurant for being a guest at the hotel. Would recommend to any traveler of the area. This stay was a nice surprise, so we will be back. Not perfect, but it's a good location and a very clean, comfortable room. We were surprised at the spaciousness of the room in particular, and I especially appreciated the comfortable mattress. My one negative comment was that the room lacked an amenity that I guess I've come to take for granted. Most hotels have a nice little notebook with information about both the accommodation and the area. For us, it the way we usually figure out where we want to go to eat. This hotel lacked any such information in the room. We got a list at the desk, along with some helpful recommendations, but it's surprising how much more confusing choosing a restaurant seemed in this way. Staff was variable -- when we first arrived, there was a very helpful receptionist. The next two days, the staff at the desk seemed much less interested in being helpful. A small niggling point, perhaps, but something that the management might work on to make a good stay even better. read more

After losing power during a storm, we were stuck and lucked out finding the INN. Neighboring hotels did not have availability that was going to work for us so we decided to book a night on Saturday, and ended up having to extend our stay because the power hadn't come back on. They gave us a good rate on a junior suite, meaning two double beds and a small sitting room with a couch, second flatscreen and the fridge. Worked out ideally for us. The staff was super nice, and very attentive. The complimentary breakfast was totally adequate - fruit salad, biscuits and gravy with oatmeal and cereal and waffles one morning, sausage and egg patties, oatmeal, cereal and waffles, all the breads and bagels and whatever the next. Rooms were comfortable, quiet and clean. Location is walking distance to restaurants, bars, the Concord Mall and other shopping. Also right near grocery stores, pharmacies, anything and everything. While no one likes losing power at the house, being able to get a few days and be made to feel at home is a very nice thing. Thanks for a wonderful respite from a stressful time. read more

Nice hotel, much better than the Courtyard next door and $50 per night less (check out the AAA rate for an extra discount). The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, you get free breakfast and wireless internet (although it doesn't always work well), and the staff has been extremely courteous on every interaction. Each room also has a refrigerator and microwave which may be helpful and with the extremely high cost of hotels in Wilmington I find this hotel to be one of the best deals around. The main drawback for me is not getting Starwood or Marriott points but ultimately I'd rather stay here than up at the Philadelphia Airport or next door at the Courtyard (and I won't consider the nearby Homewood Suites due to an extreme dislike of Hilton). The workout room is definitely small for my taste but similar to the Courtyard - that's my largest suggestion for improvement so far at this property. read more

This is a very modern and charming hotel. What I love about these non-huge chains is you feel you'll get a little extra and you certainly do. Free breakfast, free wifi, free USA today free parking, free business center, free gym. Stayed there for 3 nights on a business trip to Wilmington area. It is directly across the street from Concord mall and next to a few restaurants. The rooms were very modern in design with a nice plasma TV. The beds were very comfortable with down comforters. Everything has a clean, modern feel to it. My only complaint about the room is that is feels small. But I was a single traveler so it didn't make a big difference to me. Free breakfast is included which has assortments of fruits, pastries and a waffle maker. They have a small workout area but lacks a pool which is fine. I'm essentially in agreement with sammy z, except that I don't see the "charming" so much. The hotel was pretty nice- nothing over the top, but on the surface it "looks nice". The rooms are modern and have flat screen tv's. The only downsides: toilet did not flush, there was no hairdryer in the room, there was no "visitor's guide" and worst of all...the sheets felt like paper! Very rough and not soft at all. Bed was ok- covers were not very "fluffy". For one night, it was a nice stay and not that expensive. Breakfast was ok too--cold cereal, fruit, yogurt/granola,coffee,waffles, make your own breakfast sandwich (already cooked bacon and egg circles). read more

I'm not sure what is going on with some of the reviews, or if we got lucky? No one staying there seemed upset or disappointed. Beds were comfortable, frig and microwave so that's always good. Our air conditioner made a little sound - it was noticeable to me but I didn't mention it to my son so he didn't notice and I didn't want it to bother him because I pointed it out. There's only 1 elevator, but it wasn't a problem. Staff was nice and hotel next to at least 4 places to eat. No laundry facility but the hotel right behind it lets you use theirs (1 washer/1 dryer) for free! It's pet friendly, not sure if they go by floor. I only saw 1 dog and there was no problem with noise from a pet, guest, or traffic. Breakfast was simple. We went the first morning early, about 7:30 and just waffles, cereal, muffins/bagels, oatmeal. The second morning we went later at 9:30 and same, but I think I saw a couple people with the little eggs and some bacon, but there weren't any we could find, maybe they were going to refill but we didn't stick around. WiFi worked well. Shower pressure not great, but no leaking or anything. read more

The hotel appears to have been renovated cheeply...poor paint job, peeling wall paper, dingy carpets, and dirty bathrooms. when you take a shower for longer than 10 minutes the water leaks out into the main room through the carpet and makes your carpet completely soaked. this happened in 3 rooms so now we are just leaving. terrible staff; there are maybe 2 nice people here. the wifi doesn't work either. we got a price rate before we came here, they gave us that rate that was verified and now they are charging us $60 more because the rate changed.... was told that this building is being demolished in August so hopefully that is true so they can fix their trashy rooms and maybe they'll get new staff who actually do their jobs. read more

WiFi - poor. Rooms - semi-clean, found a cigarette in the pull out bed. After three attempts the manager came in to clean it and give the linens i requested. I wonder how clean the rest of my room is? Workout room is small but useable. Location is great, a large number of restaurants, shopping and other amenities are close. Back door does not lock. Stayed here for a wedding this past weekend. Room was impossible to get a comfortable temperature. There were no drapes/curtains behind the sheers so the sun blasted into our room at 6am. Stopper inside toilet was corroded and toilet would not flush causing it to run all night. Went down for the complimentary breakfast at 10:40 and they were starting to clean it up and literally took food away as we were making plates and turned off juice/water dispenser. Ice makers on 2 of the 4 floors were broken. Bed was super comfy and there is a nice, large fridge in the room...but that's about it. Location is pretty convenient too. read more

Our stay at the Inn was excellent. Caitlin Lysle at the desk went out of her way to provide extra service and attention. She gets an A+ for service with a smile, and is quite knowledgeable about advice on tourist directions and activities. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the beds are just the right balance of firmness and softness. The breakfast exceeded expectations. They even have a dedicated hot water urn for tea. If this is your first time to find your way here, be aware the county has not put a Rocky Run Parkway sign that is visible from Rte 202, Concord Pike. read more

Four nights! Never again. First, the good: friendly staff; clean, comfortable beds. The bad: credit card fraud; promised a year's monitoring, but no follow up after 3 calls; inedible cheap breakfast; lots of damaged old furniture, chipped paint; broken lamp shade; bathtub with glued on mat hiding who knows what underneath; loose drawer pulls; computer down and couldn't get receipt; and no workable wifi--had to use LTE and went into an up charge; staff not well trained; reflective if poor overall management. No explanation if anything. Had to ask. Believe the critical comments. No way is this a four star hotel. read more
