Its open concept here now and it looks great, much better than the old layout (forgot what the restaurant was called before). Lots of screens with the soccer games on for the world cup. Nice drink specials, $25 bottomless mimosas and $40 for bottomless micheladas. The micheladas are good! We had the Birria eggs Benedict and Birria de Res plates. All good flavors! If you like spicy, ask for their spicy sauces, they got a secret habanero creamy salsa! Chips and salsa are $4 and the black bean dip is another $3. Worth it! My friends and I made reservations ahead of time for a party of 11, including our little ones. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated within about 10 minutes. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout our visit. The food arrived fairly quickly, which was appreciated for a large group. The only downside was the chilaquiles I ordered--they could have used a bit more flavor. The red and green sauces were mild, and I didn't really taste much from them. However, the tinga was delicious, and the drinks were excellent. They were definitely on the stronger side, but I'm not complaining! Overall, we had a great experience. This was my second time to visit Yoli, stopping by for Sunday brunch this time. We were greeted right away and found a table in the bar area. Our server was very friendly and got us hooked up with drinks and offered some chips. We didn't realize the chips weren't complimentary, but they were made fresh and better than most places. I had a great Spanish coffee and my friend had a michelada, and both were great! Food arrived in a timely manner, but another server brought our food. We'd overheard our server and another announce they were taking a break and stood at the bar while doing so. In the meantime, we had finished our food and drinks and were ready to go on with the rest of our day. We waited quite a while for the 2nd server to stop by and ask if we needed anything else and took our plates. It was an awkward "handoff" in our opinion, to no fault of the 2nd server. We recently tried a new Mexican restaurant in Kent's visiting from Seattle, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. We sampled a handful of dishes, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and totally worth the price. Pictured here are the Ceviche de Camarón, the Esquites with Salsa Macha, and the Rice and Beans--each one incredibly fresh and well-seasoned. The ceviche was bright and citrusy with perfectly tender shrimp, and the esquites had just the right kick thanks to the salsa macha. Even the rice and beans stood out with rich, comforting flavors. We also had the Flautas, which were crisp and delicious, and the Queso al Horno with Birria--a rich, cheesy dish that you absolutely must dip your tortillas in. Everything was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. (We ate it so fast I couldn't take a photo) I tried the Brisa Verde cocktail and it was amazing--refreshing, well-balanced, and the perfect pairing for the meal. (Drank it so quickly, I couldn't get a photo) What really stood out, though, was the phenomenal service. Jeremy, the owner/manager, made us feel incredibly welcome, and Ambrea behind the bar was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. The food is good and decently priced. Heard they have a happy hour if you want to eat with a discount. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean. The day we went the servers seemed a bit confused. I think they're still figuring things out with work flow. Overall, it's a good restaurant and nice addition to the area. Double check the prices before you go so there aren't any surprises, because some of the menu items were a couple dollars more expensive at the restaurant than what we saw online. Let me start by saying El Charro was probably the worst Mexican food I ever tasted. The place was always dark, dirty and empty. I was shocked the restaurant lasted as long as it did. When Yoli was announced about 18 months ago, I was hesitant, if it was the same ownership with a new name, I knew what to expect, but when I found out this was a new team, I decided to give them a shot. Still, issues remained, the website still isn't functional. I should never have to show up to find out what your menu is. I have no problem with prices being omitted, but if you are a restaurant, you need a full service website and it should have been live prior to open. Based on this places Facebook page, they promised flavor, heat and authentic flavors and I can tell you, they did not deliver. Everything we had needed salt. Nothing had any heat and when I asked about a spicier salsa, the girl attempted to hand me Tapatio. If your spicy sauce is a table sauce they serve at Denny's you are in trouble. I expected flavors with chilis and peppers, cumin and garlic and what I got was bland food that was beyond tangy and flat-out tart. These guys teased the h*ll out of this opening and it is not only not as advertised but anything but worth the wait. Let me also say on top of food that didn't impress. Every seat in the place was wood or laminate and the seats were uncomfortable, not a cushion in the house. $4 for chips and salsa and mind you, government subsidized housing is on both sides of the street. This is a place not in touch with the community, because when your zip code is low income, why are you nickel and diming your neighbors over something that should be free. And if you charge for chips and salsa, you should probably be downtown Seattle and both should taste like you should pay for them. This was horrible We ordered several items and didn't finish a one. It's not that the food was inedible, but it wasn't appetizing. It didn't taste like anything I would consider paying for. It tasted like what I would expect to get in a soup kitchen and since I'm not homeless or eating for free, I demand much more. We eat out 85% of the time, possibly more and in some cases I'll tell you that we weren't impressed, but we give them another try. This place is in our general region since we are south Seattle and I can tell you now, the meal could be free and you couldn't convince me to return. I couldn't have been more disappointed with this experience and feel completely mislead by all the promotion and conversation from their Facebook page. I don't know what kind of lease these guys signed, but if they are gone in a year, I would not be at all surprised. Do better or lock the door, 100% regrettable. Came here on a Saturday night after reading positive reviews. I'm not super critical of restaurants. I understand the difficulties operating a business. But here goes: The Good: The ambiance was nice. Restaurant was clean. Our server was decent. The Bad: Food, especially the carne, is super salty. This wasn't just a one dish thing. We ordered the carne fajitas, carne tacos, and a side of skirt steak. All three were overly salty. I personally don't mind saltiness but it was beyond even what I can handle. If you order fajitas, sour cream and guacamole is not included and an extra charge Kids meal- if you order the red bean, rice, and cheese burrito, be sure to tell them you don't want it spicy. Or you'll find whole chiles in the beans wrapped in the burrito. Doesn't really make sense that a kid's burrito is spicy and even less sense that they don't tell you before hand. Nice little surprise for the 7 year old biting into it.... Drinks- margaritas were strong which is great but definitely a pre-mix. Overall: I don't think I'll be back for another visit. It was fun to try but there are many other options in the area for Mexican food. I suggest Santa Fe in Renton or Tapatio in Newcastle. read more

Came in on a Thursday night with my boyfriend to watch the game & grab some dinner. It's nice that they have multiple Tv's so you could watch the game at any angle. Wasn't too busy, there were maybe 3 other groups that were there. We were greeted right away by the owner, he was super friendly! He was also running the front of the house by himself for a bit and even then, he still was very attentive and had great customer service! They have daily specials which is cool too. We ordered the Flautas with potato chorizo & those were delicious! We also ordered chips and salsa, a horchata & a taco board with 8 tacos. For all 4 items it was around $60ish which I feel like is a great price for all that food. I definitely feel like everything on their menu, even the cocktails are really reasonably priced. The taco board was way more than enough food for the both of us. They didn't skimp on the filling either in the tacos. Our favorite was the Shrimp tacos! First of all, the negative reviews are just a bunch of haters. I have been looking for a good Mexican food spot since I've moved here from Tucson, AZ and I've officially found it! I've also been looking for a restaurant with stylish decor and a lively atmosphere, and I've found it!! Not only are the prices crazy reasonable but the flavor is everything I've been needing. The first time we came here we ordered the Queso Al Horno for the appetizer, Chicken Enchiladas, and the Cochinita Pibil Tacos for dinner. I could probably eat my weight in that queso dish. The chicken in the enchiladas were extremely flavorful and the cochinita was sweet with a hint of spice, mmm! The second time we came here was for brunch and we got photo evidence this time. We ordered Chilaquiles with green salsa and cochinita and Huevos Rancheros with chorizo and bacon. The green salsa has the perfect amount of spice and where I'm not the biggest fan of beans, the pinto beans were so tasty! My fiance cleared his entire plate of the Huevos Rancheros and had zero complaints. The drinks are amazing and fresh, the corn tortillas are made in house and fluffy, they got tv's for the sports fans, their service is amazing and attentive, etc!! They have so many ideas for the future and while they are working out kinks and the menu is growing.....they absolutely delivered! We started off with some empanadas and nachos, then had tacos, pollo asado and cochinita pibil plate...... except they almost forgot our tacos (it came quite out late, after they realized it might have been for our table - they had to come ask us - so who knows how long it sat there). And they did forget the cochinita pibil, we had to ask about it 3 times, and it took so long to finally come out, we almost cancelled it. We asked for to-go boxes twice, we asked for a to-go bag twice, we asked for the bill - yes, twice. Granted, it was on taco Tuesday, and it was Cinco de Mayo to boot. And maybe it was because there were several servers helping us, we didn't really know who we were assigned to in order to call out to them specifically. But when you have so many misses in one sitting, the conventional wisdom is to see how you can make it up to your customers. Comp something, or take a % off, offer dessert. It doesn't matter at all what, just show some sincerity. We didn't get any of that, even when we nicely said that our service wasn't really good. Me and the wife have been trying to find an authentic Mexican restaurant for years. This is a fairly new business that used to be el charro mexican restaurant, which was trash! Now yoli is on point. What they did with space is very nice. The service was great. I think we met the owner, he was awesome. And most importantly the food was !!! I had the chilaquilles, my wife had the fajita mix filled enchiladas, and our daughter had the birria street tacos. All reasonably priced, hot n fresh to your table. Will be back again and again.
