I've been coming to Inner Movement for almost a year and I think I've seen most practitioners here- both chiros, their acupuncturist, and 3 masseurs. My husband also comes here and Dr Heidi treats my 1 year old too. I love the fact that she works on both the emotional and physical well-being and collaborates with other practitioners. When I first started coming I could hardly move my neck and had constant back pain. I've seen a wonderful improvement in that respect and I've been able to get back into yoga- with some maintenance. Lately I've been seeing Gary to fix other issues that were probably triggered by a C-section and he knows so many techniques to work on difficult spots -like scars- I feel his treatment has a very deep effect on my nervous system. This review is long over due. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I have been going to Inner Movement for over eight years. My OB first sent me here when one of my babies dislocated my pelvis making it difficult and extremely painful To walk. I was reluctant to go because I had tried a chiropractor once in the past and had a terrible experience but I trusted my OB and had no choice in my Condition so I went. Dr. Heidi is know for adjusting pregnant women. Now I'm so glad I did because Dr. Heidi and her team are amazing. She has adjusted me through three of my pregnancies in between and after. She is extremely gentle thorough and knowledgeable. She has really helped fix me through the years. I have seen Dr. Pete A couple times since he joined the team and he is excellent as well. I noticed I was developing a curve in my upper back from slouching over and holding my baby and I was not able to stand straight without a lot of pain. He gave me appropriate exercises and explained as he adjusted me what he was doing and was very gentle. He was very thorough and I left feeling like a different person. Dr. Heidi is truly amazing. She accomplished so much during my initial consultation. She knew just by listening to my vibrations that I "live through other people," and she knew that I had "viruses." She even knew what supplements would work or not work for me just by whooshing them across my stomach while she held my wrist. I don't know too many doctors who can do that. Plus, she told me that she "cleared my viruses" by the end of the session. Apparently what she did is talk to my body and let it know the viruses were there, so my immune system could take care of them. That's pretty impressive that she can do that! I left the office with no idea what might be wrong with my neck, if anything. But I don't really expect her to use anything as barbaric as an x-ray machine to find out. Anyway, why use an x-ray machine when you can just ask the body itself what's wrong with it? Also: she adjusted my neck which really hurt, which I thought was unwise considering she HADN"T done an x-ray and had no idea if she would be hurting me or not. The next day I saw her again in the waiting room (waiting for an acupuncture treatment), and I told her I was't comfortable with the adjustment. She got very defensive, almost angry, and started talking about how there are few insurance claims with chiropractics. I mean, I wasn't trying to sue her, I was merely trying to talk to my doctor about what I was and was not comfortable with, partly because it hurt so much and partly because her reviews all paint her as such a kind and caring person. But the mask really slipped off at that point. Also: I told her I had an inner ear disorder, and she looked it up in a book to see what to do and then pulled my ears as hard as she could. She told me I had a kink in my eustachian tubes and that she'd straightened them out. Well I looked it up, and there's no such thing as a kink in the eustachian tube! There IS a such a thing as ear pulling, but it's done with children who have a MIDDLE ear infection, and it's done by pulling down GENTLY on the earlobe, not by trying to pull someone's ears off. There is no way that you are supposed to pull the ear as hard as you can! The only place I found the practice of pulling ears hard in an internet search was in cases of child abuse. NO doctor ever does that to the delicate ears! And especially not to the ears of someone with viral labyrinthitis! And last, she told me I had a dowager's hump. Well I looked it up, and a dowager's hump is what old ladies get who are suffering from advanced osteoarthritis and have a hunchback. I'm not old, I don't have osteoarthritis, and I'm not a hunchback. Maybe she meant "thoracic hump." But I dance and do yoga, and looking in the mirror I it's clear that I definitely don't have that either. Anyway, it was a pretty ludicrous visit. I was hoping to get some information and adjustment to my neck and cervical spine, which is apparently often the cause of inner ear disorders. Many chiropractors know about this but apparently she didn't. Oh well. read more

Victoria is an amazing masseuse! Also Heidi is amazing chiropractor!!! They helped me with my chronic migraines. I love this place it is so clean and peaceful. He is a new young doctor and he was so detailed in his questions and one could really see he was interested in me as the patient and how he could assist me in my pain. I started seeing Dr. Neha when I was pregnant and I am so happy to have found her! She is most knowledgeable about prenatal chiropractic care, is friendly and caring. She helped me get relief for my lower back pain and without her treatments I would have not been able to function from my lower back pain. My pain improved at each visit with Dr. Neha! Really love the massage and treatments here. Usually I do more massages than chiropractic treatments, but combination of them really relieve my muscle tensions. I know my posture while walking, sitting is often poor. Dr Heidi also spends her time to discuss her practices and never pressures me on any specific schedule of treatments. My 14 year old daughter fell off a horse and landed flat on her back. My sister recommended chiropractic treatment, and a friend of mine had been to Inner Movement and raved about Dr. Heidi Fennell. The office is very convenient off the 134 freeway. Plenty of parking in their private lot right at the entrance. The office was relaxing and comfortable and we felt very welcomed. I was dreading the appointment because my daughter does not like going to the doctor; but Dr. Heidi made her feel at ease. She explained how the spine and nerves work, and how the adjustments work. She explained what she was doing every step of the way and was patient and kind. After the very first adjustment my daughter was all smiles! Doctor's visits & prescribed meds didn't help my stomach so I decided to try chiropractic care at the suggestion of a good friend of mine. I came to Dr Neha towards the end of my pregnancy in hopes of using chiropractic care to help flip my baby into a better position for birth. I came twice a week until I gave birth. Dr Neha was fabulous. coming to the office was such a relaxing time, I looked forward to it all week! :) she was able to flip my boy and manipulate my muscles and joints and give me lots of great tips to help facilitate a smooth delivery. When it came time for our boy to come into the world, I had a beautiful quick 6 hour labor (my first baby!) and I truly believe it was due to her care and expertise. Dr. Heidi is great at what she does. She adjusted my back during both of my pregnancies, and post partum too. When I started getting lower back pain that wouldn't go away after many adjustments, she didn't try to just milk my insurance but rather setup tests to find the root cause, which was muscle and nerve. So at that point I went to massage only and it did wonders for my sciatica. She is super sweet ,the staff is awesome, and the location is very convenient and tranquil. I have never had a better chiropractor. I feel so safe and at ease whenever I see Dr. Heidi or any of her other practice partners. She takes a holistic approach to resolving your body's structural problems, be it dietary and nutrition, stretching, general exercise or mental and spiritual health. So much of our daily activities are tied into our pain. Do you slouch in front of a computer all day? Are you stressed from relationship problems? Our bodies hold on to these patterns and they can cause misalignment and back pain, arm pain, leg pain, etc. I trust Dr. Heidi. She holds herself and her colleagues to high and ethical standards. She's constantly taking courses to improve and expand her techniques. When needed she and the other practitioners work together as a team to treat a problem. I had back surgery at 18 and now I have a desk job which aggravates my sciatic nerve from time to time. I'll sometimes go for acupuncture to calm the nerves and that also helps to hold the chiropractic adjustment. Most of all, when you go see Dr. Heidi or Dr. Brousin, they'll work with you to make a plan so that you are not a "chronic chiropractor user". They want you to get better, because they find satisfaction in helping others. I initially found Dr. Heidi through yelp, and she has truly changed my life. I've long suffered from severe lower back pain and tried numerous other types of treatments--physical therapy, spinal injections, acupuncture, etc). Nothing worked. When I met Dr. Heidi, she gave me hope. She told me that we would find a solution and get me out of pain. And she did! In addition, she helped me stay pain free through two pregnancies. But beyond the back treatments, and more importantly, is the fact that I feel like Dr. Heidi and her entire staff genuinely care about my well being. It's not just a business. I've been going to Innermovement Chiropractic for about two months now and I'm constantly surprised with how happy I am with every aspect of the business. I went in for lingering shoulder and back pain as a result of a sports injury and was extremely skeptical as far as what a chiropractor could do for me.
