Really glad I found Morning Crane. This was honestly one of those places I didn't even realize I…read morehad been looking for until I experienced it. It's in a cute upstairs space in downtown Willow Glen, and the second you walk in it just feels peaceful. It has a calming atmosphere that makes you slow down for a minute. I went in for an evaluation because I've been dealing with some pretty intense foot and ankle pain. Christine spent time asking questions and really trying to understand what my body has been through instead of jumping straight into treatment. I appreciated that she looked at everything as a whole rather than just focusing on where it hurt. She scanned my body and also performed fire cupping where it made sense. I left feeling so much better than when I walked in. I also know this probably isn't a one-visit fix, and I actually appreciated that there weren't any unrealistic promises--just a plan to help my body continue healing. If you're looking for a more holistic approach to caring for your body, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. I'll absolutely be back.

It was my first time seeing Christine, and she was kind about me being tardy. We did an intake session and then she used the short time we had left (due to me being late) for a massage. Christine first focused on my shoulders and neck where I hold pain. She incorporated stretches into the deep tissue massage. I had a heat lamp on my feet to warm them and relaxing music played overhead. I relaxed in no time. Next she massaged my face and jawline, reminding me occasionally to breathe deeply. It felt wonderful. I had a mild migraine when we started and it was gone when we were done. Christine is very personable and well educated in holistic healing practices. I'm looking forward to returning and also plan to look into her qigong classes.

When I decided to see if qi gong would enhance the initial stirrings of chi from these other martial arts, I started taking classes at the Longevity center. I have to say that Arnold Tayim is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He has enormous knowledge, is highly articulate, and perhaps what distinguishes him the most is his eagerness to share that knowledge. Many of the traditional martial arts teachers, especially from Asia, have a semi macho tendency to dole out learnings slowly, insisting that students pay their dues for long periods before getting another snippet of learning. Arnold unabashedly draws from a huge array of information, from many teachers and disciplines, and communicates them very clearly, patiently, and always taking time throughout class to pause for questions (which students freely raise, allowing for a highly interactive discussion.). He even encourages students to record his verbal walkthrough of qi gong exercises so we have his guiding voice when we practice at home. I look forward to years of learning from such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor.

It's amazing to experience first hand how one can create, scatter, gather, and manipulate energy, for one's betterment. Sifu Arnold is an excellent and very clear instructor who really makes sure that students are imbibing the concepts and the practice itself. He shares handouts, reviews the previous weeks' practices and slowly builds into more complex practices. He is patient, engaging and also fosters a sense of community. This class is great for anyone in the healing field who seeks to learn how to manage energy on a very minute level, as well as anyone seeking to understand how to leverage his/her energy in its optimal form.

Partnering with Shanti has been a game changing experience for me and I couldn't be more thankful…read morefor our partnership. She is a true healer in every sense of the word. Not only is she an endlessly kind, patient, and compassionate human being, but in determining your care plan she is endlessly thoughtful and judicious in her approach. She takes the time to gain a clear understanding of your health history and couples that with her deep knowledge and experience to create a customized treatment plan. Once Shanti sets up a strong foundation for your care plan, she continues to adjust based upon your evolving needs. Each session she starts with an assessment of symptoms and how they have changed since your last session with her. Based on the information you provide she expertly determines a treatment plan for the day - all of which is clearly communicated with you to ensure you are 100% comfortable and aligned. In putting forth a treatment plan, Shanti is able to draw from a number of modalities that she is trained in. I have personally benefited from her arsenal of treatment modalities across acupuncture, Chinese massage, cranial sacral therapy, and herbal supplement recommendations. She truly is the best holistic health care practitioner I have ever come across and what genuinely sets her apart is how deeply she cares for her patients. I have never worked with anyone so vested in my well being and healing and I couldn't tell you how grateful I am to her. She an integral part of my care team and I couldn't recommend her enough. Book her - she is sensational!

Through talking with her and the treatment I feel like I gained a better understanding of how I hold stress in my body. While receiving the treatment I had a memory of my father from childhood and a way that he held his body when he was concentrating that my sister and I used to laugh about. I realized, in that moment that I had the exact same stress holding patterns as my father. I think that after this treatment I have had better access to noticing when these neuro pathways are activated and being able to "hit the reset button " which usually involves slowing down and taking some deep breaths. Shanti has an online class called vagas nerve deep dive that I have started that is amazing so far. This class includes exercises that give you access to the parasympathetic nervous system. While some other trainers I worked with encouraged me to do workouts that injured me, Mark has only helped me. About 2 years ago, I had persistent back pain. One day while climbing the stairs in my house my right leg suddenly gave out and I could not support myself on my right leg. I had to use a cane to walk. The problem was created by compression of my right sided spinal nerves. Mark designed a program of exercises and stretches to get me to be able to walk again. Within 3 weeks, I no longer needed a cane. I work with Mark on Zoom. For the hour that I am with him, he is totally focused on helping me do the exercises correctly. I benefit from how careful, deliberate, and attentive he is with me. During my work with him I progressed so that most of the time I walk with correct posture rather than walking with my right foot extending off to the side. Not only do I walk normally again, but my back pain is gone. At age 82, I now routinely walk 5 miles per day. One day last week I even walked 9.5 miles without any trouble. None of this would have been possible for me without Mark's careful attention to the program that he created for me. If you are having back or leg problems I enthusiastically recommend Mark Thibert.
