If you buy appliances from Lowe's!!! Be aware! Everyone needs to be aware that this is the same company your local Lowe's uses, if you buy their Extended Warranty! It is a joke! This is how it works! Lowe's sells you an Extended Warranty to cover appliances you buy. When you buy Lowe's warranty, the warranty is thru Assurant! However, if you need a repair, Assurant sends the repair order to Yota Appliance Repair who should cover the repair!!! They are both a joke and don't care! Assurant and Yota Appliance Repair is a joke!!! This is not fake news!! Seriously!! Buyer Beware! It's a total scam! Believe the reviews! They are true! There is no Supervisor you can call! Zero stars would be too good a review. I wish I had read these reviews before allowing my home warranty company to assign them to my appliance repair. Yota may have an owner or general manager but don't think you will ever talk to them if they mess up placing or mismanaging a parts order. Rather than accept the responsibility and correct the error they will refuse your calls to customer service and avoid the accountability. It took me two weeks of explaining, and confirming with photographs, Yota's order error before any action was taken. I feel sorry for anyone stuck with this company for a repair: management team is non-existent, parts not ordered or incorrect when delivered, then force a customer to take their mismatched parts or else nothing. WORST POSSIBLE SERVICE! I truly don't believe it gets any worse than this company. Customer Service is under serviced. Technicians are dispatched without adequate equipment or man power. We had to allow them to use our shop vac because they did not have one. Next technician schedules for Friday 3-6pm (you already know what happened). Their excuse was the technician's car broke down, was reported and towed away within a 30min timeframe in Houston Tx on a Friday evening (come on now). Getting a manager on the phone or calling you back is refused because apparently they get off in the middle of the day. This company needs a lump of coal. I blame First American for picking this company for home repairs. Customer service is absolutely pathetic and non-existent. Their telephone operators are rude and one lied profusely about the delay time and why all of a sudden the technician couldn't show up. No phone calls, no text messages, no nothing. Had I not called, one hour after the 3-hour window, I wouldn't have known the technician was late. The rep told me bluntly, "well we can just reschedule you!" Another hour goes by and I get a text message stating the parts were defective and they'll reorder and reschedule another appointment. The absolute worst! This company is a sham! We have never in 20+ years of being homeowners had a service provider this bad. They have been out twice with no tools to actually fix the appliance and then the third scheduled time they didn't show. When you call they tell you they have no numbers to reach their actual repairman and that we just have to wait for them to check in. I asked several times for a manager to call me but that hasn't happened. Today I tried to call and they have blocked my number lol. PLEASE BEWARE! He checked a plug by my countertop & blamed my dishwasher on bad electrical. He told me I had to call & electrician to repair before he could work on my dishwasher. The young man arrived and toll me he will have to order parts. Two weeks later he returned and told me he has has to order more parts because he needed extra ones. I had an appointment with him today, I was at home waiting when I received a text message telling me they don't have the correct parts but they will get back to me. Overall experience was exceptionally negative. These guys were subcontracted for a repair by Frigidaire and I've done everything I can to let Frigidaire know that they are very poorly representing their brand. Issue 1: Technician arrived with no tools and no background on my issue. He said in very poor English "I'm here for the dryer" but he was supposed to be here for the Fridge. Issue 2: They ordered the wrong part. The same technician returns, works on the fridge for over an hour, and then tells me "I'm sorry, wrong part." When I asked what he brought, he showed me a light bulb when we agreed to have a new control board installed. He promised they would get it right next time. Issue 3: Yota claimed they received the part and scheduled my service appointment. At the end of the service window I call them to see if they are running late. That's when they say "oh, we actually don't have your part yet." This is after a total of 22 days. I told them to give me the part number and I will do the job myself, which they said they will not give me the part number. I asked to speak to a manager and they said I cannot. Also, throughout the 22 days, I called them over 10 times for updates and to get information confirmed. For about 5 days, all calls would go to someone who's phone was conveniently not working. This happened day after day... Frigidaire was at least able to refund my service fees and give me the correct part number so that I can finish this job. The worst company to work with. I received an email saying the part for my oven repair was delivered to them. Four days later I finally called them to ask when they would come to replace the part. When they finally scheduled an appointment, I rushed home from work to meet them and two hours after the time they were supposed to be there, they texted me saying the appt was cancelled. When I called to reschedule they told me they would call me back and never did. Had to call three times just to get a new appointment and apparently no availability for a week. We have missed work, lived without an oven and have had to constantly call them to schedule appointments they have missed! Unsure if our oven will ever be repaired. read more

Worst repair company!! My washer has been having issues since January. They have come to inspect it and order parts and we have to wait for these parts. Then they come back to install the parts and my washer goes out again and again!! No luck contacting management! I was originally given an appointment window of 12 PM to 3 PM. As the time approached, I emailed to ask for an estimated time of arrival and was told they couldn't provide one because they hadn't been able to reach the technician. When I called at 2:50 PM for an update, I was informed--rather casually--that the technician had responded and might now arrive between 3 PM and 6 PM. They showed on time to fix my microwave oven. However, they did a terrible job. The microwave only worked one day and he mounted it back with the back of the oven hanging down. When door is opened, it slams close. I contacted them about this and they asked for pictures. Afterwards, simply no response. This was the worse job i had ever seen a repairman do. This company was assigned through to repair my washing machine through my home warranty company. They came to my house on five occasions and my washing machine wasn't working after each visit. The first time the technician stated it was the clutch and the second time the technician stated that it was the suspension. After coming out the 5th time, the technician stated he didn't know what it was but he reported to my home warranty company that it was repaired even though I questioned him before he left my home because he didn't do anything on that visit. He hoped some to the washing machine stating it should be going through the cycles even though it wasn't. I told him he wouldn't be here if my washing machine was working properly. I told him he didn't know what was wrong with it. When I asked him to run the washing machine on a quick wash so that can see what was happening, he told me he didn't have time. I asked what was going to do and he would talk with someone at his company. He was only at my home for about 10 minutes. I called my home warranty company the next day because I wasn't satisfied with the answer that was given to me. The home warranty representative told me I had to wait until they get the report from the company. I had to watch several days before the report was returned and the technician submitted a report stating that my washing machine was working even though he didn't do anything and it wasn't working when he arrived for the visit. I called very angry because at that point it had been 12 weeks of them coming out to my home and my washing machine still wasn't working. They stated that they would send another company to my home for second opinion. When the other company came out they stated that it was the suspension. I told the technician and this is what Yota told me they repaired a few weeks before. He told me it didn't look as if the suspension was replaced. I called my home warranty again after a few days to talk with a customer service representative regarding what was reported by the new company and I was told that it was the suspension. I told the customer service representative that Yota stated this is what they supposedly repaired on the last visit. I was told that Yota reported to them that the first problem was the drain pump and the second time they stated they reported they repaired the door lock assembly. They told me something totally different than what they reported to my company. I don't want to give them any type of rating this company is totally unscrupulous. I told the home warranty representative they shouldn't recommend this company to anyone they can't be trusted. At this point it is going on 13 weeks and I still do not have a washer. I have to wait to see if the suspension can be fixed. I would never recommended Yota Home Service to anyone. I don't even want to give any rating because they are horrible and the technicians do not know what they are doing but you have to rate them in order for the review to be posted. Terrible service! Frigidaire used them for our refrigerator warranty. We have been notified 3 times on the part not coming in on the scheduled day. Now it's going to be 12 days to get the part if they don't change the date, again. It's a defrost timer. My husband has changed many of them. It takes 1 day to get the part and 30 minutes to replace it. The concerning thing is the tech just opened the refrigerator door, told his partner "the defrost timer is the most common thing that goes wrong", did not check anything else, told us the part should be in in a couple days, closed the door and left. There's no guarantee it's even the defrost timer, so it may be another 2 weeks before the refrigerator is repaired. Frigidaire said they have the part in stock, so I'd say YOTA with assurance they 100% dropped the ball on ordering the part. This is totally unacceptable business practice. I am more upset because there is a 3 year old toddler in the home. He needs access to food. read more

only 1 star cause 0 is not an option. foolishly chose YOTA to repair our dryer through a Lowe's protection plan. filed the claim with them 5 weeks ago. they have been here 3 times and still not fixed. they have ordered wrong parts and never been on time. the final straw is a text we just got that they will be here in 24 minutes. wife rushes home from work to be home cause need a dryer after over a month without. 1.5 hours later no show so call and they said will call right back. no call back so 20 minutes later call and they say the tech will be there in 1:20. I said i will send them the text we got showing in 24 minutes they would be here and she said she could see the text but could offer no explanation as to what was going on. horrible company and experience. try another company first is my advice. it would be hard to be any worse. I was assigned YOTA by my home warranty company. It took a week for a technician to come out. Once out, he worked on my microwave for an hour and determined he didn't have the parts to fix it. 2 weeks later, the tech. came out again just to tell me the parts were defective. Another week went by & apparently more parts came in defective, then once again. Today, I had an appt. window of 2-5 pm. At 4:50 the tech. had not called, so I called YOTA. They said they didn't know what had happened & it looked like the tech. was done for the day & they'd call me back. 10 minutes later, I received a text that the tech. was 36 minutes away. 10 minutes after that, I received another text that another part was on order. At 5:50 the tech arrives just to tell me that another part came in defective, he couldn't fix the microwave, & left. The phone numbers on their emails and text messages do not work.
