Yesterday it was 112 degrees and so it was the perfect evening for our AC to go out. We tried cleaning the coils and all the DIY tricks we could think of, but when we woke to the house still being in the 80s we knew we needed a service call. Dereck Nail was familiar with my HVAC from prior to starting his own business so it made sense to give him and his team a call. He got back to me quickly, understanding the importance of our household of 5 relying on not just comfort, but safety as well, and said he could squeeze me in the same day between appointments. He arrived at 9 am, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the broken $30 part. He is handling the warranty paperwork as well. In a time of huge businesses that treat you like a transaction, it's nice to see a company that exudes the hometown feel while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. It's like the old family doctor who you can get to know and who will take the time to explain the issue and make proper recommendations. I have been without heat for a few weeks. I have a home warranty and they sent someone out on Dec 13. Their tech said that the issue with my unit wasn't covered and he couldn't help further. I reached out to a local businessman who is from here, and he gave me Innovative Heating and Air's phone number. I spoke to Derrick, as he answered the phone. I explained my issue and he said he could come by in a few. He came by and an hour and a half later, he left and I had heat. Derrick, the owner, was companionate, knowledgeable and he explained everything he was doing and had done. He had some recommendations for my system, which I appreciate. I don't meet too many business owners like Derrick anymore. I suggest calling Innovative, Derrick, to find out exactly what I mean. ...........I called for a quote to up grade HVAC ducting system on my rental and talked with Derek. He went to the job site next day and called later that day with a price that was very competitive to quotes I had already received. Derek seemed like an easy person to talk with and understood my problem and stated he could get rite on the job and order needed supplies. I had a renter ready to move in so the clock was ticking, started taking the old ducting out and placed order for parts. Derrick is awesome! My mother in law's a/c quit working when temperatures were headed to the 110 degree range. I called another local company and had it checked out. They looked at it and told me I needed a new unit. I thought the price seemed high so I called Derrick for an estimate. He came out to look at it to give me a replacement estimate. After a few minutes of checking, he cleaned the unit and removed the debris from the blower. That's all it took to repair it and now it blows colder than ever. Same day service! My heat went out and the temperatures were dropping quickly. Innovative Air was recommended by a friend, I called and he responded right away and told me he would be out that day. He came and I had a bad fan, and he could not get the part until the next day. He was able to make it work for the evening so we would have heat and showed up first thing in the morning to get it swapped out. The heater at my Moms house was not working. I had a different company try to fix it and they were not successful, but I was still charged for the visit & parts that didn't fix the problem. I then called Derrick at Innovative AC and he came over the same day to check it out. He said he could fix it and told me he will order the part needed.
