My First and Last time. Worst dessert place ever. I hated the 2 scoops of ice cream I chose , I arrived here with my husband after he got off work, I am pregnant and wanted a late night treat. At 12:00am June 27, 2025. I should stayed home and baked myself and bought ice cream from the store! I drove 22 minutes away from home at 11:30 at night to pay for 9$+ ice cream and brownie that I didn't like. My husband asked kindly if the store associate would replace the item because the brownie was COLD, even thought this company number one advertisement says "warmer, warm cookie and brownie", and the ice cream was waaaaaay to sweet for me to take more than one bite. We asked twice if she would replace it and she refused. My whole night is ruined. And whats worse is she said, " you can pay for another one". So unhelpful and careless. Ordered two things (a blondie and a cookie) and both were wrong. The first time we were handed our bag they flat out forgot the blondie and had to ask for it. Then they proceeded to give us a brownie. Couldn't eat the cookie because they gave us the wrong one and it contained an allergen. The brownie was so old and stale that it snapped like a piece of wood. Delicious warm cookies made ready to order. I recommend the peanut butter the red velvet( it's seasonal and is my favorite) the sugar cookie and snickerdoodle. I came recently and the staff are very friendly and the place was clean. They are only currently allowing two people in at a time due to the cove at 19 and of course a face covering. They have parking right next door specifically just for insomnia cookies buyers. Glad they have the parking because there is literally no parking in the neighborhood. Very hit or miss. The cookies are either perfect and freshly baked, or the cookies are very hard and taste like they were baked a while ago. Walk in ordering is constantly turned off and the only option to get cookies is by ordering online which has additional charges. Not even close. I ordered at 10pm last night and waited about 30 minutes while tracking my order on their order tracker. It had not made any progress in the 60 minutes I waited so I called the store. Was on hold for a while when a girl answered and acted confused when I said I had been waiting for an hour. She said she would bake my order and have it delivered ASAP. Waited until 1am and still received no cookies. I contacted corporate through the website and was told I can either have the redelivered tonight or get a refund. Figured I'd give them another shot so I scheduled my delivery for 8pm. I received a confirmation email stating my order would be delivered at 8pm. 8pm rolls around and I've heard nothing. Name that Julia Roberts film ;) for real, I love a great warm chocolate chip cookie and while out with some friends we decided to try insomnia cookies after dinner in south end. Got a half dozen box with 2 chocolate chip, 2 peanut butter, an m&m, and an oatmeal raisin. When I tell you all of them were so boring - trust and believe. The m&m cookie in particular tasted exactly like the free ones our grocery store would hand out to kids at the deli counter when I was a child. The cookies were not fresh tasting; overly sweet, and absolutely average. I know we are not comparing apples to apples... Or in this case cookies to donuts, but with Krispy Kreme literally next-door I don't know why anyone would ever patronize this place when looking for a sugar hit. They also seemed to be serving ice cream and it just looked sad. I feel like if they maybe solely focused on the cookies they would be a little bit yummier.
