    Peach cobbler
    Dawn R.

We stopped after visiting the eye doctor nearby. I got the peach cobbler and it was divine. Seriously, it was as good as homemade. Even the peaches tasted like they could be fresh from the farm. It came topped with ice cream and was so delicious ! The cashier was nice and the place was clean. There are cute orange neon lights and a peach wall for selfies. There is no restroom though. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the tables. There are 3 high top tables and a total of 6 high chairs. Not a regular table or chair in sight. This is not a bar. You'd like to be comfortable and short folks can't be comfortable eating in here. My husband stated they probably don't want people to eat there and just take it to go. Highly recommend this place adds one regular table with chairs. That would make it more friendly for short people, seniors, or handicapped.

One Peach Cobbler for Mrs. K. and one Blackberry Cobbler for me. We took them to go and brought them home to enjoy. Definitely a sweet treat, this is not something you want to do too often but as a rare indulgence, absolutely! The peach was tasty but and could use more peaches with less filling. The blackberry was excellent though the presence of the seeds could not be ignored. Each comes with a small tub of vanilla ice cream because that just takes it over the top to perfection. Enjoyed it very much. [Review 36 of 2025 - 4020 in North Carolina - 23607 overall]

A+ for food and service. Found this gem when scrolling the internet for desserts. Glad we decided to drive to the S. Tryon location. The customer service was incredible with an upbeat cashier who was very helpful with my selection. There were just so many choices. Upon recommendation, I picked the sweet potato pecan cobbler. Dare I say this was the best cobbler I have ever had?! It makes me think I'm at someone's grandmother's house with an old family recipe. The sweet potato pecan cobbler had a warm rich flavor with the right balance of sweet and savory, where you can taste the sweet potato, warm butter brown sugar and lots of pecans. The portion was perfect as it was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!!! My niece had the apple honey cobbler. She loved it, however sampling her cobbler after my sweet potato pecan cobbler, I felt it was too sweet. I also tried her banana pudding. Although it was good, I think I'd prefer to try a more unique flavor from their vast selection. Bottom line, would I return or recommend eating here, absolutely!!! In fact, I'd specifically recommend the sweet potato pecan cobbler!

This is a cute place to get something sweet! It is a franchise, and this particular location is black owned. I went with my sister, my baby and great nephew-- there are a few places to sit inside but mostly a carry out location. We did eat in-- there is a nice playlist and the owner is very personable. The woman at the cashier was also helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed the flight of cobblers-- that comes with 2 cups of ice cream. There is nothing dairy free here, so I do recommend bringing lactose pills if you're sensitive like me. Although, the ice cream does come on the side so that is helpful. I would return to try the cinnamon rolls-- I had a pleasant experience and the desserts were good!

I came in here in honor of my late grandmother whose birthday it was because she loved peach cobbler and had the best recipe. The staff were so kind and welcoming. I told him exactly what I wanted and how it was my first time. He explained all of the different puddings and cobblers they have. I got the original recipe and the red velvet pudding. The peach cobbler was so good. Almost close to my grandmother's. The red velvet pudding was ok. I would definitely try another pudding since I'm more of a banana pudding person. Overall I will come back for cobbler and ice cream. It was too good!

Finally got to try this place a few days ago. Warning, when you walk in, lock your knees or hold onto something, because the smell of the place will make you weak. I got a few things to try. Two types of stuffed cinnamon rolls and a cherry covered waffle. All were very nice. I hope they do good business and stick around awhile.

I went to Josh's Farmers market on a day I knew this truck would be there. IG pics looked great and I knew it was something my niece would enjoy. We arrived around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon and I just about stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the 30 or so people in line. However, we drove from Huntersville, and although it wasn't super far it was enough of a hassle that I didn't want to turn around and leave. So we waited. For. An. Hour. Plus. 15. Minutes. I was pretty annoyed because I had gone there somewhat hungry - silly me, not knowing how small the novelty waffles are. By the time we'd waited over an hour I also had an unhappy child who was hungry too. Finally just after 2:15 it was our turn to order. My niece wanted the original, she didn't want all the extra stuff. I wanted the Nutella/strawberry waffle and I kid you not.. they gave the last one to the woman who ordered before me. Unbelievable. I was too through.. and also by the time we got our order at about 2:30, we were starving and that little waffle did not do the job. They were tasty.. just know this is a treat, a dessert, not filling at all. I didn't expect it to be filling, I just expected them to be bigger. I do feel they are reasonably priced based on the size... but we stopped for pizza on the way home. There was one person taking orders and the other was making the orders. The woman making the orders could have used a hand. I can't understand why it took her so long to put 2-4 toppings on a waffle, but the order prep took forever. Keep this in mind if you visit .. be prepared to wait and eat a meal in advance. I'd try it again because the waffle was good, but I wouldn't wait an hour, it wasn't worth a wait that long IMO.

There are so many standout dishes that it can be hard to choose, but my ultimate go-to is the seared ahi tuna salad. I don't know how they make that sesame and shoyu dressing, but it is one of a kind! I also highly recommend the hummus, the baked marinated Vermont goat cheese, "The Usual," and any of their steak options. Definitely don't skip dessert! On my last trip, I tried the strawberry shortcake, and it was divine. The goat cheese and cherry cheesecake and the rotating sorbets are also phenomenal. On every visit to Charlotte, I stop here 2-3 times, whether it's to meet up with friends and colleagues for lunch, to grab a quite bite before evening plans, to spend happy hours and dinners on that delightful back patio or to pick up that insane vegan dessert I've been craving. I mean, can it get any better than a spread of vegan elote corn, nachos smothered with beans, seitan, guac/queso/crema or my new favorite, the crunch wrap with a glass of something icy cold (I usually get a glass of something sparkling at the back bar). Since my last review almost 5 years ago, they sadly removed the matcha cruffin (that I still can't get out of my head!) and added in an entire display of sugary/spicy/chocolatey greatness (I'm still kicking myself for being too late on my way to the airport to get that lemon bar I'd been eying or the pumpkin BUNDT CAKE, ffs. Person taking our order was rude. Asked what he would recommend as a side given that we'd never been to the restaurant before. He just listed off all the sides and appeared annoyed by the question. We finished our order and he then cancels the tip screen and I didn't know why. He asks if I want a receipt and I say sure. Then I notice that they have an automatic "service charge" of 15% that isn't advertised anywhere in the restaurant. I'm not necessarily against restaurants doing this but it should be advertised. Also, you should have service if you're going to charge a "service charge." Our service consisted of a counter order and then someone who eventually brought out our food. Water was never even refilled. Vibe of everyone that worked there was angry and aggravated. Multiple people scowled at me walking through the dining room from the kitchen. One worker threw open the kitchen door obviously pissed about something. Everyone in the restaurant was waiting forever for their food and other tables would have one entree come out while the other person at the table waited another 15 minutes for their food. Food was nothing special. My wife liked her Mother Earth bowl which is why I'm giving two stars. My chicken sandwich was something out of a frozen box. Hush puppies and onion rings were standard. We only had water to drink. All of this cost us $54.20 total. Anymore this feels like a standard experience in an American restaurant unless you do someplace high end. Ok food, terrible value, terrible service, and junk fees. Like they're doing you a favor just being there. All of this for a restaurant that, as the walls show, is trying to convince you to become vegan. This won't do it guys. Do better if you really care about bringing people to your cause.
