My very first experience at Insomnia Cookies was at this location. I had never seen this business in NYC at that time. I always visited the Campus of the University of Connecticut in Storrs. My family resides here. It's a small walk in store like the location I have come to frequently in NYC. I go inside purchase my cookies and have them for desert when I take my long bus ride back to the city. The cookies are the same delicious cookies at every location. The customer service is fast and smooth. No room or time for hesitation at Insomnia Cookies. I love this location in a cute shopping area. It's like a old fashioned public square. You can have a seat on a bench nearby and eat your cookie. Students come and go. This is their local shopping district! I'm glad to know this Insomnia Cookies is still here. My Uncle just turned 92! I'm hoping to return to see him soon. A visit to Insomnia Cookies is sure to be on my itinerary!

I'd heard of Insomnia from my kids & seen the treats they come home with and thought, 'yeah those look roadtrip worthy.' But never made it my destination. Having traveled for dinner plans with family we came across one and ended up buying our desserts there before even heading to dinner. It may have been my hunger but I bought 2 brownies and 4 specialty cookies!! To share, of course! Dinner was not impressive so I wasted no time getting familiar with my Chocolate Chunk cookie... it saved the night with sweet satisfaction. Love the happy ending but that's not the end... I had half a Triple Chocolate Brownie the next nignt for a second happy ending! When looking to reward yourself for whatever you've accomplished or endured, head to Insomnia. It can only get better.

I've been here countless times and these cookies slap. So good. Always warm and gooey and I love how many options there are. I get that this is a chain but these are truly good cookies. My go to is the double chocolate or chocolate chip, but last time I had a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie and a snickerdoodle. Both were fabulous as well. These are great if you want dessert after dinner in storrs center or if you need something sweet delivered in the late hours of the night after a bender.

This is a small cookie store near UConn campus. Cookies were really soft and greasy. If you are not planning to do a heavy workout stay away from this place. I had cookiewich sandwich. It contains two deluxe cookies with two scoops of ice cream. I wish I didn't take the ice cream.

The service is really bad, the cashiers are not polite and lack customer service. Not the best cookies ive had but the cookies are pretty good. I like the fact that theyre open until 3 am, and they have delivery.

I stopped here after lunch nearby and got a 6 pack of cookies. They were delicious and warm (a hair expensive) and well worth it!

    Mmmm, cookies!

Unfortunately, this place came to UConn after I graduated. Of course, it's highly probable that my health and finances are better off as a result, because I am certain I would have been a nightly customer... A cookie place. On a college campus. That will deliver cookies to your dorm in the middle of the night. Big, warm, delicious cookies. Need I say more? They've got a 12 variety selection, plus a brownie - chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, m&m, sugar, double chocolate chunk, double chocolate mint, snicker doodle, peanut butter, white chocolate macadamia, deluxe chocolate peanut butter cup, deluxe triple chocolate chunk, deluxe s'mores, and a chocolate chip brownie (the deluxe are more expensive than the others). My friend and I were out to eat at a nearby restaurant and headed home for girl's night when we noticed Insomnia Cookies - what better addition to girl's night than a 12 pack of cookies to go? They put them in a pizza-like box and send you on your way. I do think the cookies are a little pricey in general, especially considering that they're catering to the college campus crowd, but I'd have to say that the novelty of getting cookies delivered to your campus dorm or apartment makes it worth trying at least once, and that's not even getting into how delicious these are. Great way to feed your inner Cookie Monster.

Wow- I would have gained more than the freshman 15 if this was at UConn when I went there!

I bought a half dozen chocolate chip cookies. It's too bad they didn't finish baking. I'd rather bake my own, thanks.

An evening at Buck's is a kid's dream. While waiting in line for their favorite treat (more on that soon) they are free to wander and check out the farm animals on site (chicken, goats, etc) as well as run around and play, as there is ample room to do so. Speaking of lines, you can certainly expect them....but don't be scared off and turn around. The long lines speak to Buck's greatness. However, they move quickly as the staff is masterful at helping customers, processing orders, and keeping things moving along. After making your order be sure to peek behind the window to take a look at the crew as they concoct the most amazing looking (and tasting) creations you can imagine. Definitely check out the menu as the offerings are numerous and far too many to name here, but in short you can get anything from your normal cones, ice cream sandwiches, and banana splits, to their famous 'nor easter' which blends ice cream and mix-ins of your choosing. There is also a stocked freezer with products to bring home for later. Prices are more than reasonable, and you receive a ton of value for what you pay. Picnic tables are available for you to sit and enjoy your ice cream as you watch the sunset and maybe feed the goats, or maybe take a cue from the many others you'll see sitting on their tailgates or relaxing in their cars. Bucks's is a must go...a great summer destination!

I found the space clean and the interior with enough character to make it a comfortable place to sit for a bit rather than just a grab and go counter. The brown sugar boba is the signature item. I tried it and the tapioca pearls were chewy in the way that good boba should be, with enough body that they held up through the drink rather than dissolving into something gummy by the midpoint. The brown sugar flavor came through clearly without being cloying. The broader menu covers fruit teas, milk teas, and slushes with a range wide enough that most preferences are accommodated, and customization options for ice level and sweetness allowed me to dial in the drink to my preference. The ability to order without boba if that is not your thing is worth knowing if you are new to the format. Service was friendly and the staff were welcoming in a way that made the shop feel approachable for a first time visitor. Order accuracy has occasionally been an issue, and online orders do not always get flagged as ready in the app when they are, so checking in at the counter if I have been waiting longer than expected is worth doing. Pricing runs over ten dollars per drink, which adds up quickly for a group, and the shop is closed on Wednesdays, a detail worth confirming before making a specific trip. For boba in the Storrs area, Whale Tea sits at the better end of what is available locally.

I got my usual oreo milk tea with 30 percent sugar and jelly boba, and it was the perfect treat, as always. I got the matcha egg puffs, and they looked so cute with their little smiley faces! The flavor and texture of the egg puffs was also delicious and standard, but I was disappointed because I was expecting an oozy matcha filling in the center, and, as you can see in the photo I posted, there is barely any filling at all. The matcha flavor was very weak, and I was basically just eating a plain egg puff. It was still good, but I hope their other flavors have better filling or it was just an off batch.
